‘We couldn’t have got more for a Championship 20 year old’… spot on, who would pay more in a fire sale?

Just four weeks for early bird pricing (which included only one month end payday). A club that never stops thinking of ways to hold down demand. -
Them given a standard EFL allocation, so not seeing a huge stand packed with Dingles taking the piss was this club actually being in tune the mood of the fanbase for the first time in god knows how long.

We’ve been weeks from collapse/admin according to Merce for about ten years… my prediction? August will come and go, and nowt will have changed (and that incudes the standard shite window). -

Getting the easier half of the draw as other teams that you can’t influence unexpectedly drop points is luck, getting that group is luck. None of that is England’s problem BTW. If Rovers got to the cup final purely by drawing lower league sides along the way then that’s lucky - but it certainly wouldn’t make my day at Wembley any less sweet. -

Honestly can’t fathom why they wouldn’t just extend early bird to cover two month end paydays instead of one, but instead insist on hiking prices at some arbitrary date they themselves decided on. 🤷♂️ -

I presume they were some of those questions that were vetted out in favour of the soft ball ones. -

No I’d say that was pretty poor in such a crap group. Playing so badly you can’t even win that group isn’t unlucky. -

The group was weak and the draw has opened up. But hey, that’s just the way tournament football goes, so don’t look a gift horse and all that, but of course they’ve had a stroke of luck. -
What is you personal view of the ownership and leadership on the ground of Blackburn Rovers, Mike?
-
Very negative take, this club doesn’t chop managers.

Course it’s lucky to be on this side of the draw. But that’s football, good for Southgate. -

I would expect more from the WATR committee than to just swallow PR figures from this set up. Surely you would have fact checked before putting them on your branded PowerPoint? -
We play them in November so sounds about right.

Whatever it is it obviously isn’t 8,500 full STs in 23/24. Why was no research done prior to the meeting? Two minute job on the club website. -

No I had a rethink and edited, it’s 5am. I think we’ll hit 9,500+ which around what we sold in total last season when you add in half STs etc, and that’s OK considering last season’s debacle, Sky factor etc. Just a bit odd the club is now pretending we sold 8,500 full STs last season - though they do seem to amend figures after the fact fairly often, which has the advantage of making every sales campaign a success when they always happen to go past the last sales figure of the previous season every summer. -

Mattyblue replied to TheRevAshton's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
No it doesn’t, the 9,067 was in the September 2023 FF minutes as full ST sales, not 8,545 - obviously that date is pre any half ST or final 5 going on sale in November 2023 and March 2024. 8,255 so far pre hike says we will hit a similar figure this season (9,067 full) or beat it by a few hundred, which is Ok considering everything that’s gone on (still very poor in the grand scheme of things, of course). But why did nobody fact check the figures being provided from the club when it’s in black and white in the FF minutes? Or are we saying they were lying in those minutes? -

Thought we sold 9,067 full STs last season as per the September 2023 FF minutes? -

Young Adult season tickets have been pretty standard across football for 20 years plus. Just another classic brfcs tangent. -
Half of the PL is based in London and on the south coast.

Straight in with a fixture move, get used to it folks.
