  1. One poster Darren 🤣 Really? The majority of the site used to hang on to his ever word until they finally realised he was an arse, who couldn't take criticism, and had a marginally better record than Mercer, but it was a close run thing.
  2. Iain Dowie in the stands reporting for Sky, it should be a certificate 18.
  3. We could have and should have scored 4 yesterday Tyrone, away from home, but in the cold light of day we lost and thats the bottom line. We have a young squad, a threadbare squad, with players clearly suffering from the number of games played and new additions that will need time to settle in. My hope is that if we are going to lose and draw a few, now is the time to do it, whilst the new additions bed in, whilst players come back from injury and with a bit of luck we'll stay in touch. Its been a tremendous season so far, way beyond anyone's expectations (Ireland Rover aside) I just hope they can hold it together and reap the rewards Mowbray and this young side deserve. Onwards and upwards.
  4. @L.A.Rover Cheers for the reply, it’s hard to believe now that it was hard to see games in US at one point. The pub used to charge $20 to get in and I ended up in the car park listening to a radio for Rovers live commentary as the local feed had Spurs on most weekends……
  5. Are The Cock n Bull in Santa Monica still showing games L.A? Spent many hours in that place at 6am watching us in the Premiership years?
  6. A shout out to the fans that made the trip, even @Ste B who was seen leaving early on live Tv 😀 You're a credit the club and the town, safe journey home lads and lasses.
  7. Great shout bazza, I thought the same, just what we needed, but I bet wouldn't get anywhere near his wage demands.
  8. May I refer you to article #4x under the BRFCS rules that I wrote 22yrs ago 😁
  9. You may feel qualified to second guess the manager my friend, I certainly do not, his hands are tied by this threadbare squad. We’ve had a number a bad performances and results in recent weeks, I just hope we can come through it and push on. Fingers crossed.
  10. Manager did nothing wrong tonight booth, his hands are tied and we missed 4 sitters, you can’t blame the manager for that. New players look quality, just need time to settle in, it’s still on this promotion lark.
  11. Manager has us 2nd in the league when many had us 20th right now.
  12. Only fans on this site, about 10 of them, you’re spot on Rochdale.
  13. To many injuries, no choices.
  14. Don’t leave a 3 foot striker on his own in the box, he’ll usually score. This lot are rubbish, come on Rovers.
  15. Forced changes, you get that don’t you?
  16. Agreed. But I do have to take issue with this messageboard 'divine right nonsense' over promotion from league one, not aimed at you RoverReturn, just a general comment. Look at the number of promotions we've had in our entire history, its not that many, they don't come along that often, yet the league one promotion seems to be overlooked because we had a decent wage budget? Is this driven by overseas posters who didn't witness the scenes at Doncaster or at home to Oxford? because that promotion along with all the others I've witnessed will live with me forever and I couldn't care less about the wages being paid or the transfer kitty. Ask Sunderland, Ipswich or Portsmouth if they're rather be in league 1 or Championship, all have decent budgets, all languishing in the lower leagues.
  17. If the club I supported had dumped United out of the cup I would be.
  18. I loved Mark Hughes time here, best times since Kenny as we've said on many occasions, but if Mowbray gets us up, in the current climate and we have a choice to make, its going to be a tough one. I wouldn't, you'd be wasting your time, but I'll explain it again just for you. His recruitment in the summer, on a shoe string, has been phenomenal, but that doesn't take away from the fact he missed out on most of his number 1 targets due to lack of funding, plan b,c and d were put into action. Makes his achievements even more outstanding, I'm sure you'll agree.
  19. Its already been a great achievement to have this side in the current position we reside. The club and town have a bit of pride back too and thats down to this manager and these players. The Summer recruitment was an absolute shambles, we were beaten to almost every first choice option due to lack of funds, we lost our leading goal scorer and look what we've achieved. Mowbray will already go down as a very good Blackburn Rovers manager, not many have promotions under the belts, if he takes this side up against a backdrop of the worst owners ever to own a football club, he'll go down in Blackburn Rovers history as one of the greats, if not the greatest.
  20. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/cricket/59754595 Silverwood and Giles gone today, something had to give after that debacle we all predicted.
  21. Hate the paper, but credit to them for printing Tonys story. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-10465931/Blackburn-Rovers-fans-launch-fundraiser-dementia-suffering-Tony-Parkes-PFA-refused-help.html
  22. We can still go up in the playoffs, but I'd rather not bother with that route if at all possible.
  23. All those managers, who never achieved promotion to Division 1, didn’t have to work under meddling owners that have zero footballing nous and frankly are as thick as a bar top. Mowbray will be a legend if he gets this side and dysfunctional basket case of a club promoted. No doubt about that, one of the greatest achievements in the football clubs history.
