  1. I've just watched the Liverpool game in full on Sky, how many chances did we have in the last 15 mins to wrap things up? Sutton open goal fluffed his shot, Shearer 7yrds out blazed over the bar and a deflection that wrong footed James and went inches wide? I still found myself wanting to jump off the settee. brilliant, just brilliant. The height of my ambition as a Rovers fan growing up in the 70/80's was to possibly make an FA Cup semi final, I never thought for one minute we'd win the league, win the league cup and travel the length and breadth of Europe following Blackburn Rovers Tremendous, can't thank you enough Jack Walker
  2. Several of my family worked at Walkersteel for years, they all hated Jack Walker with a passion and I don't use the word hate lightly. They mellowed over the years, all massive Rovers fans, but they never let me forget what a bastard he was, as you say OJF, even when he didn't have to be. Just to keep things on topic - Lenihan has all the tools to make it at the highest level, but the clocks ticking, he needs to build on his obvious potential soon or he'll miss the boat.
  3. Never played that course, my brothers mates with the owners son, or used to be, not sure if its changed hands since. Not played in years myself, I miss it, need to find time to get back out there.
  4. Where you playing Mike?
  5. Superb TS, often gigs you don't really fancy turn out to be crackers. I love the sentiment behind 'Free Electric band' - he's from a middle class family who want him to do well and give him most things on a plate, but he just wants to play music and be free, superb stuff, puts a smile on my face every time i hear it. Think i'll give that one a blast later.
  6. First of all whats happened to Blueboy3333 - he used to get right on my t*ts but I miss him As for random songs I love, but don't really listen to the artists themselves much: 29 Palms - Robert Plant Roy Clark - Honeymoon Felling Blossoms - Blowing Rose Matt Monroe - Walk Away Albert Hammond - Free Electric Band I could go on and on and on and on..........
  7. I know I know.... just came across Topboy and jumped straight in, I'll look for summerhouse once I've finished The Wire.
  8. Yes sorry Matty, my mistake, it even says it on the link I posted
  9. A superb film from the early 90's - City of God - subtitled in Portuguese. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0317248/ I put of watching it for years due to the subtitles, but wish I hadn't, great film. Ps - I watched season 1 episode 1 of Top Boy on Tuesday night, that could have done with subtitles, couldn't understand a word of it - But its got me interested, appreciate the heads up.
  10. I’m sat here watching episode 7 as we speak - A real sporting superstar - LeBrons good, but he’s nowhere near Michael Jordan. Good watch as you say.
  11. Yes we flew up from the Turkish resort of 'Side' and happened to be on the same plane as 'Waggy' and his mate Gordon (Pair of nutters, but very funny ) We stayed in the middle of the City with Tris - Good trip as always, spoilt by the football and a painful encounter with a couple of locals swinging a baseball bat at 4am. They can't takeaway those memories CLB.
  12. The golfers (Mike E) and anglers in the Brfcs fraternity can now return to the links and river banks. Never underestimate the importance of being outside in whatever capacity, its essential to maintain good mental wellbeing.
  13. I binge watched both series a couple of weeks ago and found it nowhere near as good as the Salford City documentary. Couple of things I took away, the southerners were never going to win over the fans, anyone living south of The Angel of the North is on a hiding to nothing. But what I will say is i felt sorry for the fans, absolutely fanatical, massive numbers, they live for the football club, you couldn't help but feel for them. Jack Rodwell - Typical footballer, doesn't live in the real world, no self respect, its all about the money. Josh Maja - Lying swine, just be honest, be a grown up, typical footballer. A proud city, love their football club and nothing but respect for the fans.
  14. The day that Alan Brazil put his seal of approval on Steve Kean and slagged off the fans, was the last time I listened to the station regularly. Its like The Sun newspaper on radio, absolutely appalling unless you remove your brain before tuning in or didn't have one to start with. Hawksbee and Jacobs are the exception, rather than the rule.
  15. Its brilliant stuff o2g, even listening to the repeats, really miss the cricket, dare I say more than the football... TMS is a national institution and should be protected in some way, the coverage on talk sport is awful in comparison, much like talk sport in general, awful radio station.
  16. That sentence means absolutely nothing to me and I've read it 4 times Old ****er that I am...
  17. Happy Birthday to you both
  18. Cheers Silas, appreciate that.
  19. After much debate we've gone back to a couple of old favourites: The Royal Family and The Wire - you couldn't get much more of a contrast.
  20. Superb, I wish you luck finding more footage.
  21. Can you do it again and put the build up to our goal on please Only joking, its great to see the old footage from when football was still football, the days before Sky and greed took over.
  22. Dodgy footage from 1985 which I'm sure you'll have seen: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hzxuClBKfig
  23. Influenced a generation, we wouldn't have had Joy Division and New Order is it wasn't for Florian and Kraftwerk, legend.
  24. My Mrs is doing the 2.6 challenge for Cure Leukaemia and has beaten her fund raising target by 515%
  25. Bruce Springsteen - Western Star
