We have lots of Rovers mates who live in Preston, Leyland, Chorley and West Lancashire in general and can safely say many of them are sitting smug today having beated PNE, many of them see PNE as out local rivals. I have one of two mates from Chorley who see Bolton as our main rivals, but for most of us it will always be those ***** from the land that time forgot. Seems strange to me being Blackburn born and bred, but I get it.

I was at the Botanical Gardens a few weeks ago, just down the road. A similar story I guess, but The Courteeners played in The Celler Bar in Blackburn just as they exploded in Manchester, a free gig, which we went to in front of 100 people tops. They honoured the gig and have been coming back to Blackburn ever since, whilst playing much bigger venues like Heaton Park.
