  1. I watched England v Tonga at the weekend, what a load of rubbish, half empty stadium, as dull as dishwater. I'll not be watched 2nd test.....
  2. You know what IraC? The Sheff Utd cup game last season reminded me of what the club/fanbase are capable of, we could have sold 10,000 tickets for that match, the players were superb on the day against clearly better opposition, a buzz in the town, the Sheffield streets packed with Rovers fans, it really gave me hope for the future. All this against a backdrop of incompetence and absent owners, imagine what it could be like with a steady hand/hands running things. Keep the faith pal.
  3. I spent so much of my time being bitter, not going to games and generally being miserable because of these idiots. I took the decision a to try and forget them, support the club, shirt and players, but its hard when you know you've got them in the background, knowing I wouldn't trust any of them to find their own arse with both hands. I hope they go bust to be honest, I hope they suffer as much as the businesses they closed down by allowing that relegation to happen under king rat. This club will never die, clubs like ours always survive and this one will rise again, once they scurry back under the rock from where they came, but until that happens, its crisis after crisis after crisis.
  4. The last vinyl I bought was 'Rain Dogs' by Tom Waits only last week, something about vinyl that brings another element to the listening experience, even though music platforms and CD's are better quality, maybe its just the nostalgia we all crave for.
  5. Who remembers the good old days back in 2011/12 when the only thing we had to worry about was Venkys not paying back the £10m overdraft to Barclays, KPMG finding holes in the accounts and the players under threat of not being paid. Oh wait a minute........
  6. https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/23874466.dolan-opens-mental-health-blackburn-future/ Candid interview here from 21yrs old Tyrhys Dolan.
  7. Awful conditions, torrential rain for the full 80 minutes, it was never going to be a spectacle. On the other hand the France v SA quarter final was the best rugby match I've possibly ever seem from any code, it was simply fantastic from start to finish, SA winning 29-28 with the last kick of the game, tremendous.
  8. Fleetwood Mac takeover on BBC2 right now, superb band and probably produced the greatest album of all time in Rumours.
  9. When you’ve had one sheep you’ve had then all.......
  10. Anyone who invested in HeX.com in August 23, will today have seen 113% increase on that investment. Basically doubled your money 👍 Take profits and get ready for the bull run in 2024.
  11. Struggling here England, lost the momentum after that unbelievable drop kick by Farrell.
  12. Go and sleep it off would be my advice 👍 Kicks are winning the game right now from St Helens born ‘Toff’ Owen Farrell and I bet the manager is well chuffed, ‘Cumbrian born and bred Toff’ Steve Borthwick.
  13. Good first half for England, can SA be as bad in 2nd half? England 12 - SA 6
  14. Sadly not, I checked first and searched for a thread.
  15. England in Rugby World Cup semi final and not a mention. If the singing of the national anthem is anything to go by we’ve won hands down. Cant see us beating SA tonight, but: COME ON ENGLAND
  16. I remember being told a story from a bloke I used to work with, who travelling from Blackburn over the boundary into Darwen (Golden Cup) for an extra 30 minutes drinking time, as they have a different rules back in the day. Not sure if that was true or not, I never questioned him, he was a nutter. His cousin once carried a piano up Montague Street, on his back for charity, covered on Granada reports, bare knuckle fighter too. Characters eh? You get many of them these days.
  17. Netherlands have just hammered South Africa in the world cup. Superb stuff. England next for South Africa.....
  18. Yes, good point. Rangers should have been out of sight after 20 mins yesterday and ended up being well beaten, the manager wasn’t up to the job.
  19. Rangers have sacked Beale and not a moment to soon, that performance yesterday was abysmal, he should have gone after the loss to Celtic. No idea who will come in to replace him, but whoever does take the hot seat has a massive job on his hands, the leagues already gone.
  20. Spotted by a mate in Sheffield on Saturday night:
  21. With the greatest of respect that is absolute rubbish. If you go to Ewood week in week out and do nothing more than look at the result after 90mins, then I could see a slight point to this. But if you understand the bigger picture this will make no sense whatsoever. We have lost 5 first team players by my calculations, quality players at this level and he’s been given a bag of magic beans and some bottle tops to try and replace them. The man’s doing a very good job with the cards he’s been dealt.
  22. I hadn’t really thought about that until I read it, but you’re spot on, great fit. I read recently that Beale spent £12m in the summer, if that is true he’s wasted it, JDT with £12m would win that league by October.
  23. Rangers were appalling yesterday, I’d be surprised if Beale lasts the weekend after that shambles. When Aberdeen scored the 2nd goal half the stadium left on mass, the anger was palpable. Aberdeen had 11 men behind the ball for large parts of the game, Rangers had nobody to break that down, sound familiar? You can forgive many things as a football fan and we often do, but a lack of desire is a red line for many and some of those players yesterday looked like they couldn’t be bothered, 2nd to every ball and shown up by an average Aberdeen side, full of guts and determination.
  24. We have Wednesday fans in the family Asia, they tell a very different story. The Darren Moore saga was the final straw for many, utter shambles by the media hungry Chansiri.
