  1. Its been clear for several weeks now that these players are shot at, knackered, we are relying on a 19yr old to run the show, its a disgrace and what we have been reduced to under these idiots in Pune. Who are the replacements to come in a shake things up? Who replaces the keeper? Our options are non existent in my opinion.
  2. All that is true of course, but you asked how football had moved on and the current style which is to maintain possession at all costs is the answer. I have never seen 99% of teams looking to maintain possession of the ball in all my time watching football. The Spain side a few years ago started this and are probably the best international side of all time Edit: (Just seen that Tyrone names them too, phenomenal side)
  3. Football today is all about keeping possession at all costs Parson, hence why every club in the land now plays out from the back. I've been watching football for many many years and the football today is nothing like I've ever seen before, if only for the possession side of things, its obviously much quicker too. Tyrone is critical above of 'passing it aimlessly' which misses the point by a country mile.
  4. Use the DM facility then, its a messageboard, anyone has a right to reply.
  5. Eric Morcambe 1977 ITV World of Sport, iconic tune, iconic show. On Boxing Day 1977 we beat burnley 3-2 at the morgue, its estimated over 10,000 Rovers fans attended that day. The away section was full by 2pm, Rovers fans were then directed to Bee Hole end and battles ensued.
  6. Local game for me and if it’s anything like last season I’ll be happy’ish. JRC ran them ragged, sadly we had to go behind before we dominated proceedings and should have won it in the end. We are a side running on empty right now, but we’ll not be doing the front running in this one. Udders 1 Rovers 1
  7. The best striker in Europe, playing in the biggest club competition in Europe.
  8. Why was our 2nd goal ruled out? Looked fine to me in real time? Happy for Wharton, who was exceptional at times yesterday, great strike from a tight angle apparently and no I didn’t miss it and no I was wasn’t walking up the steps as the ball hit the back of the net 🤥
  9. You're describing a mid table championship keeper to me booth? I was at the game so haven't seen the highlights, but the keeper was exposed time and time again in 2nd half because we were knackered and Watford brought of 4 pairs of fresh legs, we were lucky it was only 2-1 in the end.
  10. Absolutely. He’s the best manager we’ve had under these morons ownership, I doubt we could do any better, what the hell does these fans expect?
  11. Just goes to show that having a season ticket doesn’t mean you understand football…..
  12. What a journey that was yesterday @Uddersfelt Blue? Biblical weather both ways from our neck of the woods.
  13. Spot on Mike, those subs made a massive difference especially with our lot running on empty, we just ran out of steam. Really enjoyed the day, 10 of us made the effort, few beers and a curry in Darwen to finish off. Super effort from all concerned with the fans take over and I was proud of the lads despite the result, they all ran themselves into the ground, you can’t ask for more than that. Venkys Out!
  14. I remember seeing something a while back that stated the majority of our season ticket holders lived within a 10 miles radius of the ground, that was a while back now though.
  15. Is that where you’ve seen this information? You made the statement, I’m interested.
  16. You can call it as old hat as you like but the facts are the facts and I would dispute more of our fan base is from outside the borough, do you have a link? Bolton Met 300k Blackburn with Darwen 150k
  17. Shearer looks knackered in that clip, probably played to many games, if only they’d have had sports science.
  18. You have to care about the club, care about your investment, Venkys care about neither. I often think about all the work John Williams and Tom Finn did over the years to put the supporters first, it wasn't just a cash cow for those two, they actually tried to build the brand, build the fanbase, keep tickets at reasonable prices and generally gave a toss. Waggott is doing exactly what he's paid to do, switch the lights on and put the cat out and collect season ticket money from 8000 fans, job done. I don't really blame him myself, he's doing what is asked of him, its the bloody owners that are again culpable.
  19. Thanks for all your efforts behind the scenes Mike, giving up your own time to try and break down barriers between the fans and the club. It looks like that hard work will bear fruit this weekend with 16k+ getting down to Ewood. Keep up the good work.
