  1. Man of the match award cemented in. Brilliant stuff Tom Hartley. Test match cricket at its finest here, what a game and it’s not over yet. I didn’t want the extra 30mins, I’m not sure now.
  2. Plenty of time 47er, another day to go yet, 87 looks a long way off for India 🙏
  3. I don’t believe they had any interest in making huge profits from the sale of the club, they did that around the same time selling stakes in FlyBe. But you’re right of course, it could have sold for much more had they held on and as I sit here right now I wish they had, not sold and still owned us now.
  4. I’ve never attributed any blame to the Walker family myself. Blackburn Rovers was Jacks passion, not the families passion and they sold the club in good faith. These owners ticked all the boxes, had the funds, but as one poster said yesterday, you simply cannot account for them being as thick as a bar top. Venkys out.
  5. Hartley has been outstanding, unplayable for the most part, he deserves 5 wkts here.
  6. That’s a big wicket for England - Rahul gone for 22.
  7. Ipswich 1 Maidstone 2 Never let the FA Cup die, greatest domestic cup competition in the world and we should be proud as a nation to own it.
  8. Someone should tell Matthew that Barclays withdrew Venky’s/Blackburn Rovers UK overdraft facility for missing payments, at which point they sulked off to bank of India. They also dragged Blackburn Rovers good name through the high court when they missed/refused to pay Henning Bergs contract. Never missed a payment eh……
  9. Very good watch. Feelings still run high Tony even after all these years.
  10. Couldn't agree more gents. It will be interesting to see how they approach the first hour tomorrow, will they come out swinging and try to make a quick 50+? Or see how long Ahmed can block one end and allow Pope to do his stuff. I'll be setting the alarm
  11. Outstanding by Ollie Pope, especially in the context of this game, well done sir.
  12. Lets get this thread back on track, all this talk about gates is bordering on dingle territory....... Wrexham are so far down the leagues I struggle to find them, Hollywood can't help you on a cold wet night in Lancashire. Blackburn Rovers 4 Wrexham 1
  13. Its never easy going to India for any team, but the bowlers let the side down badly here, 250 was par on this pitch. I'm not going to jinx it, but a milestone is approaching 🤞
  14. We did it under Kenny, bought speculatively in the hope we'd find a diamond, it didn't really pay off for us, but I get why they try.
  15. He's a young lad who isn't ready for a full season in Championship, he will have dips in form as a result and I couldn't agree more with you frosty, he's quality. Its galling both Scott and Adam have come through under these owners, they'll both be mismanaged and eventually forced out of the club, when actually, they both should be playing Premiership football with Blackburn Rovers. We need these owners out, clear the decks, forget any sale, just get rid.
  16. A lot of Blackburn 'football lads' from 80's/90's were into Talking Heads, I thought they may have played a gig or 3 at King Georges but I couldn't find anything that confirmed they ever played in the town. They all followed New Order, but not sure where the Talking Heads obsession came from.
  17. England were around 103-3 at lunch I believe, which was going at 4 runs an over, which is unheard of for teams touring India, but they failed to capitalise on that after lunch. As OjF says above, 250 is about par on this pitch, if we have the bowling attack to trouble India....
  18. You know what, I never even gave it a 2nd thought OjF, but yes you're right, the dates don't add up at all 😏
  19. I've been to Wrexham will less than 700 at the game, but all credit to them, just goes to show what good ownership can achieve.
  20. ‘Not a bad lineup’ - Understatement of the year?
  21. @Tyrone Shoelaces Channel 4 this Thursday, Miners strike 1984, documentary.
