  1. The side are playing some of the best football we have seen for a while. The support is tremendous and we have a manager who actually gives a toss. Whilst I understand the sentiment Aqua, it’s not all bad.
  2. Jesus, got then into the play offs last season and a record almost identical to JDT’s this, what more could he be doing?
  3. Thanks for the insight Glen and taking the time to give a toss 👍
  4. Absolute tripe. Gutted for the lad, been a tough time for him personally and this won’t help. I’m sure the manager and club are doing all they can to support him through this time and we all wish him a speedy recovery.
  5. Been to 3 old favourites this weekend whist in West Midlands, the pocket has taken a bit of a hit, but hey ho, or ho ho ho: https://www.vineinnclent.com/ Game pie was amazing. https://www.chungying.co.uk/ The seafood is outstanding, 5 minutes from Brum fish market! https://www.damascena.co.uk/ Went for brunch (Whatever that is) but great any time of the day.
  6. Wednesday have certainly improved of late since the new manager came in, even if results have not. The stories if being unlucky, missed chances with an awful striker up front in Fletcher I hear on a daily basis. I can't make it tomorrow, local game for me as well, but if we play like we have been doing I see a win coming, its whether or not we can cope with the busy schedule schedule more than anything else after 2 touch games agaianst Stoke and Brum. Wednesday 0 Rovers 2
  7. Morning Mike, hope you are well my friend. Its traditionally a poorly attended date in the calendar if memory serves me correctly, I'm trying to persuade 4 more of our lot to come, but the excuse is last minute Christmas shopping for the Mrs, yes they're blokes......... But that said, this has all the makings of 20k+ gate, cheap tickets and the side playing really really well, I have no doubt this will top 20k, especially if we keep winning.
  8. I'm watching re-runs of Dads Army at the moment, never really got it before, but at times has me laughing out loud.
  9. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-67546785 Shane MacGowan has died after a long illness that has been going on for 50yrs+ He certainly did it his way, RIP Shane.
  10. Just bought 8 tickets for this one, 5 lapsed season ticket holders, 2 who haven’t been at all this season 👍
  11. Just watching an episode of Dads Army - ‘The Test’ - where Fred Trueman makes an appearance and almost takes Mainwarings head off 😂
  12. https://news.sky.com/story/terry-venables-former-england-manager-dies-aged-80-13016598 Just seen that Terry Venables has died aged 80yrs, he always struck me as someone who lived life to the full. Came so close in EURO 96. RIP El Tel.
  13. Alex Neil is one of those managers that quite easily out thought Mowbray on tactics, or it certainly seemed that way when we played his teams, he out thought JDT last season too. So its good to get one back over Neil, a decent manager at this level. Not wanting to talk about the Sunderland manager to much, but I'm sure the result away at Plymouth didn't go unnoticed by our regular travelling support. That is just the sort of result we'd get (2-0) from such a long journey under Mowbrays tenure, then beat Blackpool away the week after.... Onwards and upwards.
  14. We ask that question week in week out SG, it’s criminal my friend, it really is.
  15. Got something about him this manager, can we keep hold of him is the big question. Great win today, bit of payback after Stoke did the double over us last season. Safe trip home everyone.
  16. Christine McVie and Lindsey Buckingham - Red Sun
