  1. Come on LeftWinger..... Gazza went abroad, Platt too, Shearer could have many times, McManaman went to Real Madrid and was a massive hit, we hadn't won in Europe because we were banned after Heysel, first season back United won a trophy I believe and I'm not having that we 'Overstate how good those players were'. That was the best England side I've seen and I've seen many.
  2. In attack we had Shearer, Sheringham, Gazza, Fowler and Ferdinand! This squad was superb and the first 11 was probably our best ever first 11, we had quality backup in every position. David Seaman (Arsenal) Gary Neville (Manchester United) Stuart Pearce (Nottingham Forest) Paul Ince (Inter Milan) Tony Adams (Arsenal) Gareth Southgate (Aston Villa) David Platt (Arsenal) Paul Gascoigne (Rangers) Alan Shearer (Blackburn Rovers) Teddy Sheringham (Tottenham Hotspur) Darren Anderton (Tottenham Hotspur) Steve Howey (Newcastle United) Tim Flowers (Blackburn Rovers) Nick Barmby (Middlesbrough) Jamie Redknapp (Liverpool) Sol Campbell (Tottenham Hotspur) Steve McManaman (Liverpool) Les Ferdinand (Newcastle United) Phil Neville (Manchester United) Steve Stone (Nottingham Forest) Robbie Fowler (Liverpool) Ian Walker (Tottenham Hotspur)
  3. The Euro 96 squad was probably the best England squad we've ever produced, I'm surprised you think thats laughable, did you see them?
  4. I assume you couldn't think of one... To answer your question - Robson, Venables, Capello, Hoddle.
  5. Can you name me 1 England mens football manager, since Alf Ramsey, who has taken England to the final of a major tournament? Success at international level is judged on trophy's won and how deep a side goes into a tournament. Southgate has taken England further than any other manager in almost 60yrs, its as simple as that really.
  6. This Southgate critisizm makes no sense whatsoever. He’s the most successful England manager since Alf Ramsey.
  7. Dion Dublin the worst football pundit on Tv?
  8. Grounds starting to empty….
  9. You should use those powers for good Dom, next Rovers home game 👍
  10. Booooooooooooo
  11. 110,000 at Hampden I seem to recall, makes todays match look like a kids tea party. We used to get 100,000 for the England vrs Scotland school boys match.
  12. He gets abuse on here 🤣🤣 Brilliant, made me laugh out loud.
  13. He never plays, how do you work that one out?
  14. Come on England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿
  15. Barry Chuckle the former programme editor was the CEO at the time, useless ****, feathered his own nest then pissed off. He even phoned Nelson up when he moved to Spurs complaining we hadn't received a fee...... Scandalous.
  16. https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/23781240.nelsen-tugay-kean-voicemail-ended-rovers-career/ I'm going to put this here, Ryan Nelsons departure is a hard read, but nothing we didn't know already.
  17. Once upon a time The Telegraph would have been inundated with letters, Radio Lancs phone in would have jammed, sadly these days this will probably go relatively unnoticed…… The final insult was giving that **** a new contract after 4 wins in 24’ish, but is this another final insult? Venkys out, clueless ****s
  18. This has got to be a mistake surely, they would never close the Bburn End for a competitive game, would they? I often think Waggott is a victim of circumstance, ten bob CEO working for 10 bob owners, but if he's sanctioned this its a bloody disgrace.
  19. I'm sure the Sunderland manager was too when he arrived, but Venkys tend to knock that out of you after while, as we're currently witnessing with JDT.
  20. Anything that damages them is fine by me, the harm they've done to this town and club is immeasurable. I don't want to sound like a scratched record, but I'd take administration today, only then will this grand old club start to recover from the nightmare that has been the last 12yrs. Venkys out. 🤞🤞🤞
  21. I don’t buy into the day tripper theory either, although we had 2 Wednesday fans with us. Yes phenomenal effort by our fans and shows the club still has that pull, if the side are doing well.
  22. The initial allocation was around 4800 if memory serves me correctly and they went on open sale, I bought extra tickets in that period myself, then an extra 1000 were made available, so its nonsense they practically all went to season ticket holders.
  23. How do you work out that practically 6000 were season ticket holders 🤣 Utter nonsense Hasta with respect, tickets were on open sale.
