  1. I've not looked, but I seem to recall us losing 3-0 away at Reading this time last season, so things are certainly much better 12 months on! 8 goals in 3 games with no recognised first team striker for much of the time, is something to make note of too. The pattern of play has changed, much quicker in and out of possession, you can see that taking more time to develop as the season progresses, its great to watch at times. The fans were superb yesterday, big numbers, but I have to mention the away kit, yes it gives the fans opportunity to sing "Yellow, yellow" but its a bloody awful colour! Onwards and upwards.
  2. You’re clearly enjoying the come back today and why shouldn’t you, it was tremendous from the lads 👍
  3. I have every sympathy in your case duff, it’s not on and should be dealt with by the stewards, but this isn’t what 1864 is taking about with respect.
  4. You were trying to fight then at Wigan too, but let’s not split hairs. You're obsessed with this theme, I never saw any of this, nobody else has mentioned it either. I’m not saying the fan base is squeaky clean, but this has been going on since 1960’s, why the outrage now? Your generation we’re throwing bananas at Alex Williams and constantly monkey chanting week in week out, thankfully times have moved on.
  5. You say this every time you go to games, you were fighting them last season apparently, which makes you no better. Maybe set the example for others to follow?
  6. Sammy Szmodics epitomises the spirt in this team, if we had another 10 Szmodics we'd be Premiership bound without a doubt. Some of the comments in this thread are embarrassing to be frank, the lad is superb, but he's not going to be Messi'esq every minute of every game. Its a long time since we had a Szmodics in our team, brilliant buy. Onwards and upwards.
  7. Did you hear the ROAR in Blackburn?? Great support today. Football seasons back!
  8. I understand the point you're making JH and we could do much more as a club. But I would just point out that Bolton Met borough population is over 300,000, yet we've had bigger gates over the past 30yrs I'd wager. I'd take administration today if it meant getting rid of these owners. Only when we get rid of Venkys can the club start to mend itself and I'd wager, with the right people at the club, the town will support the new regime in big numbers.
  9. As the main striker at the club this could be his season, some people thrive being the number 1, some people fade into oblivion, time will tell. But one thing is for sure, we all hope he scores 20 goals this season, because along with his exceptional work rate, we need more goals. Over to you Sam.
  10. Just been for breakfast here - https://www.yummyyorkshire.co.uk/hide-hoof-farm-restaurant/ Its relatively local to us and they do a great breakfast. You always see football fans in here on route to games, we got talking to some Barnsley fans on route to Bristol, a PNE fan and 2 Rovers fans from Wakefield. Its still blowing a Hooley - Confidence is high - Rotherham 1 Rovers 2
  11. 22yrs ago today we beat Barcelona 3-2 at Ewood. I couldn’t find the YouTube clips, but thanks to readrovers, we have a link. https://twitter.com/readrovers/status/1690249254642888704?s=46&t=vixBk9JCaQx4yRvDSEyAbQ
  12. Bring your windbreakers, its 'blowing a Hooley' in South Yorkshire right now!
  13. Gallagher hattrick? In all seriousness, I hope things work out roverandout and Rovers can do the business for you today.
  14. I was Rovers daft from the day I was born, its a family thing, its in the blood. I have to say though that when the revolution started in 1992, the amount of people I saw that had never had an interest in football, or had in some cases been Liverpool fans up to that point was noticeable. You'd bump into people on matchdays that you went to school with, now wearing Rovers shirts, not Liverpool shirts, its amazing what a bit of success can do. I'm not knocking it, we were all from Blackburn after all, but I often wonder how many of those lads/lasses are still going today.
  15. Its like 1970's all over again, dinosaurs. I noticed Lancashire have also launched an inquiry into some dingles (Look 40+) abusing women/kids on a tram in Manchester. Board the place up, that is the answer.
  16. I think I just heard a pin drop.
  17. Glad you and family are safe pal, houses can live again, people can't 👍
  18. Designer clothes coming back to Blackburn, its not been the same since Originals closed down: https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/news/23715450.flannels-open-old-tessuti-store-mall-blackburn/
  19. I gave him a few quid in Sofia because he was running short, imagine my dismay when he was stocking up on cheap fags in the airport on the way back, the Mrs had to intervene or I'd have rung his bloody neck, cheeky bastard. 🤣
  20. More important than the footy, for the vintage members of the site:
  21. https://www.independent.co.uk/arts-entertainment/music/news/robbie-robertson-death-the-band-b2390476.html I don’t know about anyone else, but we just felt the tremor from this announcement travel across the Atlantic. Robbie Robertson has passed away…..
  22. How many did you expect for an early round league cup game?
  23. A poster gave the Attendance: 6,173 (579) - Which is a great turnout for an early league cup game.
  24. Bob Dylan - Lay Lady Lay
