  1. These commentators are gagging for a Leicester goal.
  2. Big loss that, for tonight and the next few games. Let’s hope it’s not serious.
  3. Proud of the players after that 45mins and the fans have been tremendous.
  4. A story that will resonate with all those fans that travelled that night Jim, I swear the swine did it on purpose......
  5. I'll never forget that 5th Rnd League Cup surrender under king rat away at Cardiff, where he dropped Robinson, Roberts, Yakubu and Rochina and played the likes of Goodwillie and Blackman (Who)........ The Telegraph headlines "All out to to win the cup" after the surrender "League comes first" 😤 I'm still angry now.......
  6. What a tremendous test match, not the right result of course, but superb. I doubt test cricket in this country will ever be the same again. Ashes tickets sorted, can't wait.
  7. Different completion of course. But the reasons John Williams never took up the 7/8k seats at Celtic all those years back. He didn’t get much wrong during his time here, but taking the smaller allocation was a mistake, thousands missed out that night.
  8. I wouldn't piss on them if they were on fire, burnley ****s. They've got enough threads going on this site right now, lets not turn this into a homage as well.
  9. The first female speaker of the house and used to work for Barbara Castle as her secretary. RIP
  10. Be interesting to see if he's better suited playing against Premiership sides than the kick and rush Championship cloggers. He certainly has the ability.
  11. Yes credit where credits due on the subsidised tickets. Not sure if we're going yet, are you making the trip?
  12. Full Members Cup parade 1987
  13. The JDT bandwagon rolls into Leicester on Tuesday night for what should be an exciting prospect for Rovers fans, a rare trip into FA Cup 6th round for the winners! The last time we made it that far into the cup was the Liverpool game under Bowyer, which we had every chance to win, but blew the replay at Ewood against an extremely poor Liverpool side over the 2 games. Leicester's league form has been indifferent of late, but they can still lay claim to hammering both Villa and Spurs in February after sneaking past Walsall in the last round of the FA Cup. If Leicester play the full strength side this could be a bridge to far for Rovers, but if Rodgers decides to shuffles his pack its very much game on. How many tickets have we sold?
  14. Its been a very good run of results since the debacle that was Wigan at home and taken in isolation even that wasn't a bad result given the latest haul of points. I think its prevalent to point out that Bpool were without doubt the worse side I've seen at Ewood in years and although I didn't go yesterday, QPR rivalled them by all accounts, but we did get respectable results at 2 of the big hitters in WBA and Watford. Having been beaten down and stamped all over for the past 12yrs by these abysmal owners and successive ridiculous appointments, I'll not be getting carried away. This next run of games will test our credentials as play off candidates, something I never thought I'd be saying at the end of Feb. Be interesting to see what team JDT picks for Leicester, full strength would be my preference, the football club needs to try and win ever match, the fans deserve that much for the unconditional support throughout this torrid period for the club.
  15. Oooooooooo ahhhhhh Gallagher
  16. Ooooooooo ahhhhhhhh Gallagher
  17. We should have won at Sheff Utd, played well on the night, but injuries and fatigue started to kick in around that time and we didn't have the squad to handle it. I think the same will happen again, I hope not, but you can see it coming. QPR 1 Rovers 1
  18. If England win this test in Wellington, it will be the first time since 1890’s they’ve won all the winter tests. Losing the toss was a great start..
  19. The club ran trains to the game, a bloke I used to work with went, one of his best moments watching the club he said, passed away a few years back sadly.
  20. I seem to recall the standing area down the side of the pitch at The Valley was the biggest in the country at one time. But yes amazing scenes. I often wonder how Ewood managed to fit 62,000 on, our record attendance, even 50k+ gates in 1960's, must have been a squeeze, I hope you didn't want the toilet!
  21. It's the last day of the season 1957/58 and for both sides everything rests on this game. Blackburn visit The Valley needing a win to pip Charlton to promotion to the First Division. Scenes outside the ground as over 56,000 turn up. Teams run on to pitch followed by the briefest of action from Blackburn's 4-3 win. https://www.youtube.com/watch?app=desktop&v=JpEre63cNvo
