In most cases the way we play means that Bell could come on after 60 minutes and do a job. The opposition will be tired from the high press and counter attack and, often, losing. If Douglas can play 60 mins every week I’ll be happy. The above is the same reason why IMO Buckley needs to go out on loan. Coming on after 60/70 minutes he looks the part. However he’s playing against tired teams that are losing. We’ve seen against Watford that when he starts he’s a weak point. Not his fault, he’s still young and doesn’t have his man strength. But I can’t see how he starts for us. I’m looking forward to eventually seeing: Travis Holtby Rothwell (or even Dack!).

I’ll add Buckley into this. He isn’t going to hit his potential playing the occasional through ball or a backwards pass. He needs to be braver with the ball.

We will lose this. Our central midfield aren’t mobile enough, desperately need Rothwell to move with the ball. I had hoped Buckley would be he’s too keen to pass, looks like he doesn’t have the confidence to force us forward.

Question him all you want - discuss his opinion, tell him he’s wrong. Criticise him for putting the young players down. All fine. But keep chasing him around questioning why ‘his mate’ doesn’t play for Rovers, or imply that he’s making it up, or that he’s no idea what he’s on about because one rumour didn’t come into fruition and, as I said, I’ll put a stop to it. No, it was me that said I had been told he was signing. He didn’t. My point is, the criticism of Sparks by you - and others - is immature and discourages people from posting things on here, which can sometimes be right. I’m thick skinned enough to ignore it, but others previously haven’t been and it’s at the forums detriment. So if it continues, I’ll stop it.

The constant berating of Sparks off the back of something he’s been told and shared us pretty dull. He got told something, it didn’t happen, end of story. I would encourage him to post next time he hears something, too.
