The shirts where out later than expected this year because the original sponsor pulled out. The shirt release images in the tunnel at Ewood are photoshopped, which is why lots of people are saying the logo doesn't look quite as bad in the flesh. The commercial team actually did very well to find a replacement sponsor so quick.

What I do know is if we're haggling over 150k at this stage we may as well give up.

If we go into this season with Graham, Nuttall and Samuel and Graham gets injured we may as well just forfeit the other games. Samuel and Nuttall aren't anywhere near good enough.

I think we'll commit more than 2m quid on one player - but I don't think it'll be upfront, probably over 3/4 years. On a different note, I noticed Pboro's chairman has tweeted than Leeds haven't made a new offer for Maddison "today". So it sounds like they have been in for him at some point. Not sure where this fits in with 'the club interested weren't in the top half or bottom half of the Championship last season'.

Tricky 20 year old winger thats succeeded at England U18, England U20 and League 1 level... I just don't see it being 500k. I think its more likely he signs a contract extension with Boro and comes back on loan, they won't want to lose him for 500k. Or at least, I wouldn't.

I just can't see how Chapman is 500k in this market. Even with 12 months left on his deal and after two big injuries. Regardless we won't pay any figures like 2m quid upfront for anyone we sign.

I don't think he's ever revealed where he's getting it from. In better news I know a massive Rovers fan whos house overlooks the main pitch at Brockhall village. Its the opposite that I was told - by a former very Senior member of staff at Rovers - who said Mowbray had asked for a 20m investment for this season and walked away from the meeting in India with a 10m promise (again, to be clear, football clubs don't have 'transfer budgets', they have seasonal budgets to include new contracts, transfer fees, wages, agents fees etc), which I posted here. To be clear, that doesn't mean i'm right and Unleaded is wrong - he's certainly got form for being right and i'm absolutely not saying the 10m increase is 100%.
