  1. Same thing, each share is £1
  2. I don’t think it auto renews, only the monthly does?
  3. If you — or perhaps someone you know — can recommend any other options I’d be happy to look into them @Eddie .
  4. If you screenshot any that are overly intrusive we can block them for you (if we agree), this shouldn’t be the case. We already block a lot of ads, including the ‘big’ money which is in gambling, crypto and vaping ads. So if anyone sees any of these especially please send them in either on PM to myself or email to admin@brfcs.com. The company that hosts the ads are always on at us to have more - full screen ones, ones that move. We tell them we don’t want them either. We are actively trying to not be dickheads with the advertising. The reality is the site I took over in 2017 would have gone under in 2020 if we hadn’t been proactive and put proper advertising in. The IT costs have spiralled and need to be paid for somehow.
  5. I was told: Home: Blue and White Away: Black and Grey Third: Yellow with blue trim
  6. It should explain in the emailing confirming you’ve signed up 🙂
  7. The subscription options are here: https://www.brfcs.com/subscriptions/ There isn’t a one month trial, there’s a reduced cost of £1.99 for one month on the monthly. That can be cancelled during month one, then you can buy the annual for £39.99/year giving you 13 months for £3.23 / month.
  8. It’s a little complicated because we get paid based on the amount the ad space is valued at by the company that runs them. At Christmas or during January sales or near Father’s Day, ads are expensive because more people are advertising, so even if we don’t get many people on the site the payment is enough. The bigger issue is during the summer months there’s nothing on event wise that advertisers want to spend money on. So the value of the adverts is low and the number of site visitors drops as well. The two combined can be a touch concerning. It’s very interesting looking at the data though. Ennis signing had very little effect. Tronstad saw a little boost, perhaps an early cup game against a lower league side. Sigurdsson brought more numbers than a match day would.
  9. Hello everybody. There’s been a bit of talk recently about the ads on the site, so I wanted to clarify the position of the site. BRFCS is a not for profit (so far this year we’ve donated to Rovers Ladies, Tony Parkes, Rio Spurr amongst others) and as such is ran pretty close to the wire financially. We make revenue in three main ways: Adverts, BRFCS premium and sponsorship (thanks The Terrace, Rovers Trust). The ads are our biggest source of income, but income that is based on site visits. So during the season, especially around ‘big’ games the site does well and out of season the site doesn’t do well. We offer ‘premium’, which is an ad free experience so that anyone that either doesn’t like adverts or wants to help support the site has an option to do so. We don’t want to get into the world of asking for donations, so Premium is the offering for anyone wanting to support the site. As it’s off-season, this is a gentle reminder that if you enjoy BRFCS, or would like to say thanks to the team that work on it for free and give something back, premium is available here if you can afford to do so : https://brfcs.com/magazine/premium and you can read more here:
  10. They’re not broken. If you enjoy having BRFCS, you have two options: 1) Close the ads and accept the site needs to generate revenue to pay the bills. 2) Pay for Premium, our ad free offering: https://brfcs.com/magazine/premium
  11. I find it incredible that the best deal for the club in the entire world is conveniently right on our doorstep.
  12. You’re wasting your time even debating it. Rovers can’t do anything, even if they wanted to, because Sodexo have the contract to serve all food on the premises. Because that contract is the easiest way possible for Waggott to hit his numbers.
  13. I’d love us to be able to compete in the Premier League without having to compromise the values of our town and the people we represent. I’ve no interest in competing in the premier league if it means compromising the values I associate with the club. I’ve no interest in being in the premier league if we cannot compete and lose to the likes of Newcastle, Chelsea and soon to be Qatar owned Manchester United most weeks.
  14. Depends on what you’re willing to compromise for success. They’re a complete morale-less black hole, previously owned by a Russian oligarch and now puppeteered by Saudi cash converters. I’d honestly rather not complete at the same level as them. Let them go and mess around with their nonsense super league. Bring back football without sports washing.
  15. As if by magic: Embarrassing.
  16. Chelsea have spent relentlessly since being taken over by their “investment group”, buying some of the best players in the world for hundreds of millions of pounds seemingly without any FFP concerns. Suddenly, all of the ‘old’ players on huge contracts they don’t want - Aubamayang, Ziyech, Kante, Mendy, Koudibaly are moving to Saudi for not only increased contracts but fees. Seems Lukaku is coming back from his loan at Inter and moving to Saudi too. Very very interesting.
  17. Take your discussion on the royal family to WDWY please folks. I can’t be arsed spending my Saturday night moderating it.
  18. Still don’t see it with Leonard, hope I’m wrong though. Ben Fyles on the other hand is exciting.
  19. It’s all about your own standards. Personally, I’d sack people for being happy with 8,100 season tickets.
  20. Rather foolishly, I took over a website which just about broke even every year and promised I’d make it a not for profit.
  21. Alright here’s the deal. If you’re in illustrator or designer and want to do something better than the club shop, send me a message. We will build you an online store on BRFCS and host it for you. We already have a fantastic embroidery and printing company who can provide the clothing. We can split any profits made - 33% BRFCS, 33% Designer, 33% Rovers related Charity Donation.
  22. Now this is a quality piece of clothing..!
