I think he’s spent the last 10 months talking about developing assets because he realises to generate budget he needs to develop and sell talent. -

At some point early second half before they scored my phone said they had 0.34 xG. That’s all I know. -

Where have you been these past 10 years or so? -

I believe that effort on goal had an xG of 0.02. They had much more than that in total. -

Can someone pick me out a few of these big chances we had? -

I’m not entirely sure they’ll have a choice, Tella will want to play at the top level and that will be with Burnley, not Southampton. -

I thought they were better than us at the back and offered much more threat moving forward. Despite good midfield play, I didn’t once think we looked likely to score. Wharton was the best player on the park by far. -

That wasn’t my question - do you think that offensively and defensively we where better than Burnley tonight? -

Just to be clear you watched tonight and thought we defended better than they did and had more attacking threat than they did? -

I think we had the two best performers in Wharton and Szmodics, but we weren’t the better team. They were better defensively and offensively than us. -

The better team is the one that scores more goals than the other in my opinion. It’s was a close fought match and our total lack of fire power meant that much like in the league, we couldn’t compete. -

I’m not at all into this “proud” rhetoric that goes around, especially on social media. Hyam looked out of sorts and has since his Scotland call up. Carter made plenty of errors. Pickering responsible for their goal. Travis looked poor first half especially and had no control over any element of the game. BBD did nothing again. Dolan has no understanding of football, his decision making was poor. Hedges had no impact on the game. Rovers security staff where all over the shop and had little control over the stands. Burnley won the championship at Ewood Park, making it six times in a row they’ve beat us and we’ve not scored in four. Short of Szmodics and Wharton (especially) who I agree where great, I don’t see much good this evening. -

Absolutely. Watched all of this and the sheer confusion from the Rovers staff was incredible to watch. They weren’t expecting it to kick off, didn’t know how to react to it and where grossly under prepared. Another sign of Waggott’s cost cutting and dumbing down campaign if you ask me. -
He was JDTs favourite at one point this season, wasn't he playing right back just to keep him in the team? Decent squad player if you ask me for the coming seasons. Although across the board they all need to be taught top level decision making. We've had a consistency of players make some very very stupid decisions over the past few years - Hedges not either going into the corner, scoring or putting the ball into row Z, Wharton not bringing the attacker down... all the way back to Sam Gallagher not taking the ball into the corner against PNE and i'm sure Armstrong did something stupid as well.

I’d try and get Bowler before Thomas. -

Deflated. Not a set of bollocks on that pitch today. Not a single player able to control a game. Not a single player capable of being responsible. -

Don’t tell Sparks but I wish we had Whiteman. He’s a big boy but can cover distance and move the ball well. -

3-5-2 for me given Ronnie's injury, our leaky defence and need for a firm midfield. Kaminski Carter Hyam Wharton JRC Morton Travis Wharton Brittain Dolan Brereton Hope to catch them on the break... -
Season tickets 2023-24 - what could/should be offered ?
J*B replied to damo100's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
The company Rovers use to provide finance is very very low-risk, it’s verging on inaccessible to a lot. -

I think I'd probably start Lewis OBrien to get a hold of the midfield and I'd definitely replace Gallagher with Kone. -
They had Marcus Coco in the Directors Box last night. So we can safely assume he’s likely to be here next year.

https://footballleagueworld.co.uk/crystal-palace-keeping-tabs-on-blackburn-rovers-midfielder/ This is very much true - although it’s a crap source - and for those who can be bothered I said it was months ago.

I make that the fourth player in three years to stop trying once it became apparent they weren’t signing a new deal yet some fans still encourage keeping them in the previous transfer windows. Let’s be absolutely clear: If a player isn’t signing or being offered a new deal when they have 18 months left they MUST be sold.
