I think the context of the size of Venkys is important, what are we - one of 156 businesses they run? How much time and resource are they putting into understanding Rovers? I don’t think they’re being manipulated, I just suspect they have at most a touch-point input into the club… What is the cost? What are the problems? What do we need to do to fix the problems?

That isn’t the issue in my opinion, the issue is Waggott will have told them “I will ensure this club doesn’t cost you more than X per year” and that’s the budget everyone is working towards. Venkys will have: 1) No idea the pitch needs replacing 2) No idea how much it costs 3) No idea they can do it without breaking FFP
