OK, I'm into panic stations now and thinking logistics. Rovers usually arrive at away games 60 minutes before the match (I believe?) On a good run, without traffic, Brockhall to Birmingham City is 2 hours 30 minutes on a coach. Rovers kick off at 7:45pm I reckon we have 36 minutes before the coach leaves for the game and the opportunity for a player to meet the manager before they sign is over. Does a player sign without meeting the manager in person? I'm not sure, does anyone know how normal that would be?

If I had to bet, I would say Sheff United will sell Berge to get out of their embargo and loan OBrien to get them promoted.

I’ve asked the club to change this and they ‘respectfully disagree’ with my concern. I believe under the headline: Blackburn Rovers wish to provide the following update regarding the report of racial abuse during Saturday's FA Cup fixture against Birmingham City. The following statement reads as if their is a minority of racist fans: "Blackburn Rovers condemns all forms of discrimination and we will seek the strongest possible sanctions in order to tackle anti-social and/or criminal behaviour. The mindless minority who choose to disrespect the club and behave in an offensive manner are not welcome at Ewood Park.” The club believes it is clear two separate issues are being discussed, anti social behaviour and racism. I don’t — and to go further — think the two are separate issues that should be addressed separately to avoid confusion. I suspect the narrative from those wanting to put the people of Blackburn, and Rovers fans under a bad light will be “a mindless minority… racist abuse”. If my suspicious are correct this could taint our club and our people for a long time to come.

A very poorly worded statement from our CEO today on a very important subject. A “mindless minority” is anything between 1% and 49%. A mindless minority is categorically not the case, we are speaking specifically about one individual fan. This statement plays right into the Judan Ali narrative and should be changed on the record to reflect that.

I can’t see any other way tbh. As far as I can see we have today to agree a deal with a foreign club and get a player on a flight ready for negotiations and a medical tomorrow morning before the manager has to set off to Birmingham. That’s pretty much unrealistic already IMO. I notice Nicko has described us as “dreamers” when asked if we can expect any signings today…

My biggest concern at this point is there’s no denying whoever we sign is at least third choice.

NOT ITK! I was told by a friend of BBD that there was an (seemingly, generous) agreement between BBD, Villarreal and Rovers that his contract agreement would be announced alongside the signing of a forward to try and lighten the fan reaction it.

Once again, for those at the back… I, like many others here, are not ‘ITK’, there’s about 4 people at the club that always know what is going on, that’s it. I am simply posting rumours / tips that people with any sort of credibility are passing on. Which is mostly well received — and entirely what internet forums are for. For every “Brereton is signing for Villarreal, Dani Ayala is having a medical, Sorba Thomas has signed” there will absolutely be one’s that are wrong, either through bad info or changes of plans. You can seemingly put Iling Junior in the same bracket, there looks to be nothing happening there either. It can’t be any clearer and I find the enjoyment people get out of people not always being right is very odd. Give credit to @unsall , he was told there was a French player coming for a medical and clearly that was right. Numerous other WhatsApp / Twitter groups had already said there was an interest in Ike Ugbo, two and two was put together and we got 5. It really is as simple as that. Let’s not forget numerous actual ITKs have stopped posting here - giving really good info - because they can’t be arsed with the attitude of “you were wrong, you know nothing!” if they get one wrong.
