  1. I agree. That’s why it’s a mockery that we had a ref against Stoke who’s family are PNE fans (or at least, that’s what I read on Twitter).
  2. Decent squads get promoted from this league. We need to start selling our best players when they’re at their highest values and reinvest into the full squad. We have a good first eleven and then some bog average squad players.
  3. Even if that happened, I don’t think the club is set up for it. We’d get promoted and be Bournemouth’d every week. I actually think the ideology from GB is the one we should be taking. Improve each year, try to develop our own players so that we don’t need to buy a full team, try to “create value” (improve players, sell them, improve the team). The only rationale I can find for not selling BBD this window is because they thought it would be at such a detriment to the team it would put the “journey” under too much pressure.
  4. I think we’ll win here. If they play 3-4-3, I’d play: Kaminski Carter Ayala Hyam Dolan Travis Buckley Pickering Hedges Hirst BBD Subs: Pears, Mola, Phillips, Morton, Wharton, Szmodics, Dack If they play any other formation I’d play 4-2-3-1: Kaminski Carter Ayala Hyam Pickering Travis Buckley Dolan Dack BBD Hirst Subs: Pears, Mola, Phillips, Morton, Wharton, Szmodics, Hedges
  5. It’s exactly the same as Mowbray, because as I’ve just said in the post below for me that is the only way out of this league. The difference is I didn’t have faith in Waggott, Park and Mowbray to achieve that goal. I didn’t see any improvement. I do have faith in GB and JDT.
  6. What other option do they have, out of interest? They can’t spend any more than what we are used to spending because of FFP. As far as I’m concerned there’s only one viable way out of this league and that’s what they’re trying to do: Year on year improvement until you can compete.
  7. Come on Jim, you know full well it doesn’t work like that. Whether or not you get to see promotion makes no odds to anyone but yourself. In interview one GB mentioned the project and he has maintained it since In interview one JDT mentioned the project and he has maintained it since. That is the reality. They’re not trying to get promoted this year, or likely next year. They’re trying to build something over time so that when we do get promoted, we are in the best position to be so.
  8. It was reported on at the time, I don’t have the info to hand. It was measured by wages and net spend, from memory.
  9. Apologies - failed to avoid getting us relegated**
  10. That 94M he spent in January made a big difference in their relegation chances. As far as I’m concerned this season JDT is making a judgement on the players and working out what positions he needs. In fact, as long as we’re not going down I would say it’s unfair to make any judgement for at least 18 months. Let’s not forget in his first 18 months, Tony managed to avoid getting us relegated and miss out on winning League One despite having the biggest budget in L1 history.
  11. Whilst Robbie Moore (fake name) played for Crewe, he lived in Manchester and commuted. Whilst living in Manchester, most of Robbie’s friends where United fans. Robbie still lives in Manchester now. He meets up with his friends once a month for a nice meal. In fact, growing up as a kid, Robbies father - who is credited as the influence behind career - was a huge United fan. He still has a season ticket now.
  12. There’s no way ex-pros can do it sadly, their decisions would be effected by their playing careers.
  13. Yep, apart from this ship isn’t being steered by Tony and Swag. I said when he took over I would be happy to give them 3 years and what my 3 year plan (assess, improve, compete) would be. As far as I’m concerned this season is JDTs opportunity to review the players. As long as he doesn’t get us relegated it’s fine.
  14. It got to the point yesterday where the Riverside was shouting “forwards!” every time he got the ball such is his tendency to go back inside to Hyam. He was a standout league two player and hasn’t improved. I hope Mola can play…
  15. Yes, it’s too early. November!
  16. What part of “personally” do you not understand?
  17. On it, review to follow.
  18. @Mercer I have friends around next weekend and will be cooking this: https://www.jamieoliver.com/recipes/fish-recipes/salmon-prawn-pie-in-a-pan/ Could you recommend me a wine?
  19. It’s the easy way out. Hit the number, outsource it, tick the box. No ingenuity at all.
  20. This isn’t quite being reflected in the MOTM voting - you should submit yours! https://www.brfcs.com/magazine/football/match/880803/blackburn-bristol-city?tab=voting
  21. It’s usually an echo chamber of me berating the linesman for consistently being poor. Occasionally someone tells me to shut up, which I can’t really disagree with.
  22. I’m not sure I agree, mate! The club decides which provider to use, they’ve chosen Sodexo. They’ve waived their right to have any input and now their fans are being diddled and seemingly, other than complain, there’s nothing they can do to stop it.
  23. Very harsh on Kaminski, Gallagher and Travis.
  24. Sounds to me like Swag’s latest get rich quick scheme. At some point he’s going to start trying to charge us all extra if we want to know the team prior to kick off.
  25. Back in Feb when the weather starts to turn.
