Can you have a luxury right back? I’d find a way to play him for his attacking capabilities, even if it meant the team where worse defensively. Having one of the best playmakers in the world playing right back is incredible really.

I must be watching a game here, I think Elliott and Henderson especially haven’t done what the Liverpool midfield relies on (pressing, quick turnover) and have cost them the game whereas Partley has been brilliant. It speaks volumes that Firmino was basically unused last season and is now their best striker. Salah’s thrown his toys out, Nunez isn’t adapting, Jota’s out of form. Anyway, I digress. No idea what VVD has just done there, that’s dreadful defending.

That’s just the point though, we do hide a significant amount of misery and nastiness. The easiest way to money out of this would be to let the misery and nastiness take over! I’m not sure if you remember the forum before we took over, where there was a non-existent moderation team and owners that where sick of the stress? It was chaos! I look at the stats weekly and whilst you’re absolutely right, the end of the transfer window, international week and the death of the Queen have all played a big effect, the drop of visitors we’ve seen is like no other period that I can remember and is down on last year at this time, for example. It won’t surprise you to hear I also disagree on the last point. Whilst BRFCS only represents a small % of the fan base, there’s a clear and direct link between the interest here and the feeling on here and the stadium. I’ve attached the home attendances which I would say backs this up - remember there was a rail strike for Watford. -
TAA is an elite right back, the Liverpool midfield is non existent and the loss of Mane (and Nunez not being of the same standard) is a huge psychological blow. Liverpool need at least two new central midfielders and need to find a way to sort Thiago’s injury record.

We’ll beat this lot on Tuesday, they’re rubbish, however I expect Nyambe will have the game of his life. I’d go: Kaminski Hyam Ayala Wharton Brittain Travis Morton Pickering Hedges Szmodics Brereton With a plan to get Dack (Szmodics), Carter (Ayala), Wharton (Morton), Dolan (Hedges) and Hirst (Brereton) on the pitch as our five subs. -
Because it’s a psychological advantage if they give us 2K tickets and we give them 8K.

I’m astonished that Hedges is only fifth in the MOTM voting https://www.brfcs.com/magazine/football/match/880876/blackburn-rotherham?tab=voting Thought he was superb today. -

I’ve always said Rovers should ask BRFCS for access to our data. I’ve attached the last 90 days worth of activity… people are losing interest, fast. -
It wouldn’t surprise me if Swag charges you lot £35+ and offers 8K tickets.

Jon Dahl Tomasson - no longer Sweden coach
J*B replied to Tom's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
I think we’ll probably need to go backwards from where Mowbray had us so that we can go forwards / ‘to the next level’ with JDT. I can see big changes over the next 2 years, I suspect we start next season without: Ayala, Dack, Pickering, Brereton, Gallagher. Something like… Kaminski Hyam Phillips Wharton Brittain Wharton Travis Batty (new?) Hedges Szmodics New -

Because he’s said multiple times that Rovers are a “project” and GB has said he will need “a few” windows to get a squad that JDT is happy with. To me it’s clear as day he’s got at least two years to develop our own players before there’s any serious pressure to move us on from where Mowbray had us - floating between 7th and 14th. -

I’ll be astonished if Dack doesn’t start nevermind get named in the squad tomorrow. For what it’s worth I’d go: Kaminski Hyam Ayala Wharton Brittain Wharton Travis Pickering Dack Brereton Gallagher -

If you fully back JDT you need to accept this season and the majority of next season are entirely meaningless as long as we aren’t in a relegation battle. -
This guy should be prioritising getting Ewood back looking presentable.

Tickets will sell out before they’ll become available to me… but if you’re reading this and can get one when the time comes, I’ll pay up!

Transfer Window - COMPLETE. Where’s Gregg?
J*B replied to chaddyrovers's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
It’s entirely predictable as well. They’re desperate for someone to bring on in the 60th minute and make sure we don’t lose. We’ll lose the derby in midfield, mark my words. -

I thought Szmodics was absolutely terrible last night. We’ve got big problems in midfield because they’re all what I would call ‘new breed’, apart from Travis. They like to play football, dictate play, control the tempo, move between the lines. All the cliches. But history shows that in this league you need someone capable of physically dominating the middle of the pitch. -

I believe he was first choice at Pompy? Not sure on that though. He’s obviously a decent penalty taker to be ahead of others on the pitch. -

Anyone saying one of the other players should have taken the penalty has clearly never played football at any sort of decent standard… or hasn’t watched any of the ‘All or Nothing’ type documentaries on Netflix/Amazon. Rovers, like almost every other team in the country, are given a 1-5 for penalty takers when the match day squad is announced. Each player will be able to tell you who takes penalties and in which order. The coaches decide in advance to help remove any emotion from penalty taking, so it’s clear as day who takes the penalty no matter who is on the pitch. Hirst is clearly high up that list, likely second behind Brereton. If someone takes the ball off Hirst they’d be fined and dropped whether they scored the penalty or missed.
