  1. I suspect they’re doing it to improve team spirit, which is the backbone of JDTs approach. When they’re local the first team players are together at Brockhall 10-1, when they’re away is 24 hours a day.
  2. Him leaving on a free in less than 12 months is more mental
  3. This doesn't add up. The xG lot said he was brilliant.
  4. We’re talking to two different horses here - now he’s left, I’ve been amongst a conversation where Darragh said “I’ve not asked for anything stupid. If they make me one of the top earners I’ll sign. When Dani (Ayala) is on more than any other defender, I expect to be on the same as him. They’ve not offered me his money.” *that’s roughly what I heard him say and the jist of the conversation
  5. Vincent Kompanys Burnley may as well announce it now.
  6. Not long until this mob start releasing NFTs and fan tokens
  7. May as well set the academy on fire and claim on the insurance if we end up letting Phillips go for under a million.
  8. They’d have to pay me a lot of money to give up my Sunday to watch that.
  9. I don’t know Islander - I’m just relaying the discussion. Maybe he is, maybe he isn’t. I would counter with: If one of the best young talents in the country signed professional terms 8 days ago, why hasn’t there been anything on the website? No article, no interviews, nothing on social media.
  10. Based on the discussion on the terraces today I suspect Sharpe may have jumped the gun. I think if he had signed a pro deal it would have been on the website.
  11. Garrett, Phillips and Dolan the only ones to come out of the first half with anything worth considering. Carter looks OK, but no better than Phillips and I was expecting better. There certainly isn’t enough in these young players, based on that, to have loads of them around the first team.
  12. Markanday looks good. Travis playing well. Kaminski, Wharton and Ayala playing well. Brereton doing a lot with not much success. Gallagher playing 9 but not getting much. The rest… meh.
  13. It’s the 9th. Why hasn’t it been announced?
  14. Update - he hasn’t. He looks lost, physically not strong enough but perhaps most importantly Ayala has had to explain every single thing to him so far. It’s like he hasn’t played football before. Release him on a free, he has no future here.
  15. The away terrace at Accrington is basically a discussion about Phillips refusing to sign and moving to Spurs
  16. Sounds like Phillips is a gonner… on a free. Good work, Steve.
  17. It’s arguably the best thing I’ve done whilst owning this website. It wasn’t my idea… but it turns out if you let adults be adults they behave like adults.
  18. The club are very disappointed in the leaks and there’s going to be a full investigation into them… I wouldn’t want to be the new person in the retail team.
  19. Helpful tip for anyone that really, really hates the sponsor but always buys a shirt. Macron don’t produce male and female kits - they’re the exact same styling and fit. That’s why the shirts look so bad on the women in the launch film. So you can buy a version which is exactly the same as the ‘mens’, with the Watson Ramsbottom logo.
  20. Good knowledge! Macron don’t design issue different fits for mens and womens teams - it’s the same shirt. But they do print different sponsors on to different shirts, eg 3000 with the mens sponsor and 500 with the ladies sponsor. If you don’t get them to do it at source, you use a company like Elms to add the sponsor once the shirts arrive in the UK - but that costs you (Rovers) money to print every kit. So again, Steve (if you’re reading), why have Rovers had to have the sponsors added at our own cost, rather than at source, and exactly how much did that decision cost?
