Tell you what I found odd - at half time there wasn’t a single coach out with the subs on the pitch. The players where literally booting 30 yard passes to each other, then walked back in. No warm ups, no drills…

A lot of promise shown there, especially second half. Brittain, Ayala, Wharton, Travis, Buckley all played really well. BBD was dangerous but didn’t really have a chance. Vale didn’t look out of place. But I’m most surprised by Hedges, who it seems JDT has trained to be a football player. But don’t think for a second we don’t need signings. We need at least a CB, CM, and winger. I’d like a left back as well.

Give them whatever they want for Styles, Pickering is rubbish.

Supposedly he’s only on a youth contract and he can agree pro terms with anyone for when his youth contract expires. The fee Rovers will get is some equation and they reckon it will total ~250K when it’s all totted up.

Heard Phillips is close to agreeing pro terms with Spurs, Rovers expecting to get 250K compensation with no sell on fee and not happy about it…

Magloire wouldn’t get a game in my Monday night 6 a side league so I’ll be impressed if Northampton decide he’s anything but hopeless. Good luck though, young man!

I take the point if the belief is we can manage until then. I’m not sure I entirely agree - ie let’s say Buckley gets a red card on Saturday, or Travis does his hammy… who are we bringing on and playing for the following game? Obviously the ideal is you try to sign everyone before the first game, which is what every other club in the league seem to be doing… I guess my worry is I don’t think we have enough to even manage until the end of the window. Yes but during those five weeks we do still have to play professional football and compete for points. This mindset of ignoring the first 5 weeks of the season bewilders me.
