Edun, like JRC, is dreadful. They’d be the first two out the door this summer for me. Neither are adequate back up for Brittain or Pickering. Frankly, I’d have rather we kept Bell than got Edun who has a strange ability to be equally as shite no matter which of his four positions (left back, left wing back, central midfield, left winger) he plays. He’s the football equivalent of the handyman that comes in to repair things at student houses whilst at Uni. I’m surprised at some of the Hirst comments, I thought he was really good today and something we’ve been missing. He ran the channels, got in behind, would have scored other than a deflection. A good debut and plenty of promise.

Only Pickering got less. We where average all over the pitch today. Need to get some first team players back on the pitch ASAP and perhaps a formation change. Today my half time changes would have been: Kaminski Carter Phillips Hyam Dolan Travis Morton Pickering Dack Brereton Hirst That would have been Wharton (yellow card after about 5 minutes) and Hedges (wasn’t up to speed) off for Dolan and Phillips. Looks like defensive subs but the formation change would have improved us.

Just taken an early dart after seeing Edun belt a very simple ball into the Riverside. JDT is missing a lot of key players but we’re not getting the fundamentals right. Travis must play midfield. If we need someone to cover right back it must be Carter. Dack must feel very hard done by being subbed off. If that is the Brereton we are getting until the end of the season we should have accepted any bids on Thursday.
