  1. Involved in a group trying to buy Charlton
  2. Well thats opinion. And my opinion is different and I agree with Mani. Having seen Mowbray on the touchline and his reaction make me think he was close to resigning. When I said he bought the fans back to the club, i wasnt just talking about attendances but making fans feel part of the club again after Coyle time here and fans and players/manager closer. When Coyle was here it was a morgue and awful to attend games. You dont know if Venus was part of the signing of Brereton. Mowbray knew Armstrong from his Coventry days and Gallagher from his previous time here. Ive posted what I think will happen if/when Mowbray goes. Its an opinion. I think Damien Johnson will take over as head coach. Me and some other posters on here think he is right person to take over

  4. Raya tells the LT the reasons why he left Rovers for Brentford https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/news/politics/quicktest/18059649.david-raya-interview-opens-reasons-rovers-exit/
  5. I felt like he was ready to walk on Saturday until we won the game. I agree that Mowbray has had huge positive effect on our club and bought the fans back to the club. Mowbray really does care about the fans, players and staff here Di Matteo was useless at Villa. His champions league win and promotion were years ago. I think Johnson would take over as head coach with Venus as sporting Director. Venus has been kind of job for the past few months anyway. He would say in his post and carry on the job he does
  6. I put him on my shortlist after doing a great job at Wycombe I always said Damien Johnson was my 1st choice
  7. Nigel Warnock, Chris Hughton, Roy Keane, Billy Davies, Harry Redknapp, Tony Pulis aren't coming here. Massive No to Brian McDermott, Malky Mackay, Alex McLeish, Roberto Di Matteo so that's leaves Nigel Adkins, Ian Holloway, Aitor Karanka and Nigel Pearson. Add names like Gareth Ainsworth, Damien Johnson, possibly add Uwe Rosler and Carlos Carvanhl to that that shortlist
  8. I've always said we were never going to get Chris Hughton to come here, it was pipedream and never going to happen. I don't think Hughes can be affective without Bowen. Pearson or Ainsworth or Johnson for me. Ainsworth has done nowt? really? suggest you research what Ainsworth has done at the club considering the financial mess they were in for years. Only looked good this season? Top of the league, keep clean sheets and winning games. would you not take that this season?
  9. I agree Pete. The next 2 games will decide his future whether he walks away or not. If we performance badly in the next 2 games then I think he will walk away. Yes He is a Blackburn lad and he is Blackburn Rovers fan. Plus look at the great facilities he would have to work with here including a good playing squad that just need am couple of signings It felt very toxic on Saturday and almost ready for fans to turn on Mowbray which is a great shame. You really think Mowbray is paid millions of pounds a season?
  10. The anxiety came from Barnsley getting on top and us not defending properly and them cutting us open through the centre midfield area with Holtby wondering around and leaving Travis exposed. I was shouting at the players and Mowbray to sort it out. cos performance wise it wasn't good enough but we win. Like I said on Saturday night after the game I felt that if we lost to Barnsley at home he would have walked away and decide he cant take us further as a club. Look at him when it was 2-2 he just looked like he knew it was time to go. I think Mowbray has been great for this club and rebuilt a club that was rock bottom after Coyle being here in terms of fanbase and fans enjoying the football again. For me, Best manager since Mark Hughes days in my opinion I think that isn't side and unrealistic for nearly half of the clubs at this level I want a change of manager but I don't want lose football matches or watch poor performances. I would imagine Gareth Ainsworth would jump to manage this club and the great facilities we have here. I deffo want to win on Wednesday
  11. for me, the defence needs drilling every day like a Sam Allardyce or Tony Pulis would. We need to get back to basics.
  12. Armstrong played 3 different positions omn Saturday and he looks happy on the right. For me, hes starts on right wing Ive seen the under 23's a few times and Rankin Costello has been the standout player and the one who should be in the 1st team squad not Chapman. Chapman attitude has been shocking poor and he has underperformed
  13. second choice at Palace probably on 20 to 30k a week wages
  14. wrong Chapman isn't our only winger, as we have Rankin Costello plus Armstrong. Chapman performances for under 23's don't warrant a 1st team place in squad. Bennett could play wide right and Nyambe behind. Rankin Costello has played well for under 23's whilst Chapman form for the under 23's doesn't warrant a 1st team place
  15. Not for me. We need one wide player to stay wide like Ripley did in the 90's. We dont want to be too narrow
  16. Great shout Cant see Palace letting him go or we affording his wages.
  17. Cos you are complaining about McQueen already. Blimey we havent even put a bid in yet
  18. Have you seen him.play recently or has he signed for us
  19. Well Nyambe is out ill isnt he? Armstrong plays wide not up front on his own. Bell is our only left back fit so if you dont want him then who plays left back? Time we went back to basics..defence well and keep a clean sheet
  20. Walton Bennett Lenihan Tosin Bell Travis Downing Armstrong Dack Rothwell Graham
  21. Yes column Armstrong, Reed, Rothwell, Cunningham, Tosin, Downing Possible Davenport They were players we have chance Mowbray didn't like John McGinn who was at Hibs They were number of players I would signed instead of who we did
  22. sorry Tyrone Shoelaces I honestly didn't see the question Every signing since we got promoted last season?
  23. I said that the signings Mowbray should have made in the summer just gone. How many times Roversfan99 do I need to say it? Under a manager who set them up right, getting us defending properly and back to basics we would get there. You asked people to name their best 11 and Ive done that. now you complain yet again? I would have picked Cunningham but he is out injured for the season Ive been telling you on here and other social media sites we needed experience keeper, right back, 2 centre backs and left back signings last summer, we didn't do this and now it cost us big time. The Blame lays at Mowbray manager office door. Armstrong plays cos he the best right wide player we got.
  24. Well if Mowbray had made the signings we need in terms of Experience keeper, right back and Centre back leader then we could be top 6 now. Our best team with the current squad Walton: Bennett, Lenihan Tosin Williams; Travis Downing or Evans; Armstrong Dack Rothwell; Graham But we need the types above to challenge for top 6 and if these were made than we could be there if a new manager came in this week and in January make 3 signings we could challenging for the top 6 this season
  25. Bowyer got the based on more than 4 games plus he gave us a steady Eddie in charge Did I say he is a nice bloke give him the job? I think Johnson as manager would be bless of fresh air if he plays the same way as he did for the under 23's and appoint the right staff for his approach and ways
