  1. agree with all your posts today in this thread. all correct in my opinion
  2. The way you talk its like the surcharge is putting loads of people off which it is not. I walk past the ticket office about 2pm-2.15pm every Saturday home game and they are plenty of people queueing up there. Plus the figures we have that over 800 people are buying after 12pm deadline and is not a put off for many fans. Its 3 pounds which is not alot of money, you will come back and say it is for some people but not when you are buying a ticket at 30 pounds.
  3. Bennett and Armstrong are 2 different types of wide players and you have to take them into account and what each player gives you. Its very important that you have players who can play 2 or 3 positions within the team and during games. Players like Reed, Rodwell, Williams, Bennett and Rothwell I think Mowbray will have one eye on a Graham type replacement in the summer depending whether Graham will continue next season here. on a Dack replacement? very tough and possible impossible to sign a like for like replacement. Bennett has been more than good enough at Right back. On the centre back thing, Its depends how Mowbray sees Williams and Rodwell. Mowbray has said he sees Rodwell as a centre back and Williams has lots pf games as centre back and I think suits centre back role more if we are at home as Bell is more attacking full back. For me, Bennett is the 3rd name on the team sheet every week after Mulgrew and Dack. I don't see Reed and Bennett as incredibly negative either. Clearly you thought this against Stoke when we won there and both players played brilliant. I would be playing Bennett on the right wing with Armstrong on the left wing against Preston with Reed and either Evans or Smallwood depending on Evans fitness. I wouldn't be playing Palmer from the start in this game
  4. no chance can we afford any of them. I wouldn't be bringing any SPL players either. Don't believe their standard is good enough for mid table Championship football I think we will sign Bauer in January if he is allow to leave Charlton. Gestede and Wood wages are far too much for us as the article says above there is wage cap in place and make sure we don't over spend on wages like we did when we sign Best, Etuhu, Murphy and Rhodes, Gomes we don't need 3 or 4 players in. Bennett has done fine at Right back even tho I prefer Nyambe there. Brereton last 2 performances up front has show Mowbray he is a striker now
  5. We only need 2 signings in January for me. Centre back and a winger. We dont need to be make signings just for the need of. I would loan out Nuttall, Travis and Tomlinson out. Then the squad would be GK's - Raya Luetwiler Fisher DEF's.- Nyambe Lenihan Mulgrew Bell Downing Williams Rodwell new signing MID's - Bennett Evans Reed Smallwood Davenport Palmer Dack Conway Rothwell new signing ST's - Graham Armstrong Brereton Thats give us 22 players to used
  6. Here the article https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/17230249.the-recruitment-plan-is-in-overdrive-rovers-boss/ I think we need 2 or 3 new signings
  7. I thought you meant just for the season ticket. Sorry for that. Yes I would agree my cost are well over 600 pounds per year on just home games. I do like to get some food before whether it from the chippy on Bolton Road, or from inside Rovers or from Butty shop around the corner from Friend house. I used like a beer in my younger days but since alot of pubs have gone we go in and it isn't a day out anymore due to everyone circumstances. fair enough Matty. ?? No I would say watching tv, tv series and films is the most costly per month cos the Sky and Netflix bill. compare to the Rovers cost which is about half of the Sky/Netflix bill
  8. It was idea after a knowing a couple of people who cant make midweek games and can only make Weekend games. These people haven't bought season ticket cos of this but instead go to 1 game a month instead
  9. The price what I expected to paid. Off to this and staying over there aswell. I have no idea what the nightlife is like up there but I never will unless I go. Any recommendations for pubs or clubs to go to? or good quality restaurants?
  10. Football is just one of my hobbies I do. I do other things like go cinema, watching films and tv series, watching Cricket and NBA. Plus meals and night outs. Yes I have 4 away tickets to buy/have bought before Christmas. I have bought Preston and Wigan, plus still got Boro and Leeds tickets to buy. we got 800 walk ons after 12pm and that is a fact. How many more we don't know but we have the figure of what we get now which is relevant. My Stepdaughter come to the odd game now but she does other things with her mum whilst I am at Football. My Stepson isn't interested in football at all which is fair enough. Getting kids interested at early age is very important. I remember when my Primary School Peel Park took about 30 to 40 children to the odd game or 2 per season with a couple of teachers. I was around 9 10 aged but I was hooked at Blackburn Rovers. The weekend season tickets would attract new fans aswell like Dad who only see their kids on a weekend or people who work away or shifts during the week Monday to Friday how does it cos over £600?
  11. The first part is your opinion not a fact. Mowbray has bought honest and integrity the club and we are in the best position players and manager wise since we were in the championship under Kean. The Players and managers give everything for this club and love being at Blackburn Rovers as Bennett and Mulgrew interviews this week have said. No I sorry the amount of walk ons with the surcharge isn't irrelevant as we have a proper figure to work with amount how many are turning up after 12pm so I don't see how it is irrelevant. Can You explain why it is irrelevant? Also you haven't some other points/questions I asked before so please could you answer them. Thanks in advance 1. Why would it suit me to get kids in the ground? cos of my kids? if that's your implication then you are very wrong. My reasons to get kids in the ground so young is to get them hooked into the club and get them passion about Blackburn Rovers and football so they want to come back each and every game. I remember my childhood and me being hooked on Blackburn Rovers from 7 years old. I loved going to watch Blackburn Rovers every week back then and still do now. Plus then parents would spend more in club shop and food/drink Surely you would agree that by getting young fans hook on Blackburn Rovers and attend games is a good idea to raise attendances? 2. I have suggested 3 things and you have turned badly on each idea like Kids season tickets for 1 pounds and weekend season tickets saying I've only suggested it cos it suit me when it has no affect on me at all but you shot down each idea. I did also said suggestion for the 2 games around Christmas have a family ticket which would be priced at 42 pounds for 2 adults and 2 kids for each game. So Please can you explain why you shot me down on the 1st 2 ideas? Good Post and I can understand the points you make. Plenty of passion there. I would say that if you miss going with your dad and brother then maybe bite the bullet and go with them and enjoy it. I now go with my best friend and couple of other friends but if truth be told I really miss going with my dad to every games like I did when I was a child and late teens/early 20's. I have some of the greatest memories I ever had. My dad does go to the odd game now but he enjoyed doing other things like dad outs, weekends away and enjoying his retirement. But I always ring him after every game I attend and give him a brief summary of the game. I don't like the fanzone one bit or the beer served at Ewood Park. The lack of pubs is a problem but the club should be making the pre game much better. I do enjoyed watching the early kick off games but can understand why others don't. Can I asked what the AMF camp is? I seriously don't know so please don't think I'm being funny or clever cos I am not
  12. very costly hobby? surely this depending on a number of different factors including what you do family and leisure wide plus your job, job wage and private life? Going to Ewood every season is the same cost as going to cinema every month to watch a movie with the missus. I can spend 40 pounds a time there or going to comedy night on a monthly basis. well at the minute we have a team and manager who are giving everything at this club and showing more desire and passion than the past few years. We are in the mix for possible playoff challenge and considering where this club was when Mowbray was appointed here as manager we are very much a different club and having a team of players who work hard and play with heart on the sleeve. You keep going on the surcharge but no idea to get fans back whilst I have suggested 3 ideas and you shot 2 of them down, can I ask why? Plus we have roughly 800 fans each time who buy tickets after 12pm so the surcharge isn't much of a factor surely you would agree.
  13. I have blueboy3333 on the ignore list and he will be staying on there aswell. I have no desire to read his posts either. Paul on here has told you the reasons and aswell as Cheston aswell. The figures that the club has told the fans forum that we are getting about 800 people per game buying tickets after 12 pm. so that surcharge isn't a major problem but I can understand its a pain in the ass at time like Biz says. Most people paid by card for most things in life. I can understand Rovers having a turnstile for late tickets sales but then what the point of having a ticket office then? Why would it suit me to get kids in the ground? cos of my kids? if that's your implication then you are very wrong. My reasons to get kids in the ground so young is to get them hooked into the club and get them passion about Blackburn Rovers and football so they want to come back each and every game. I remember my childhood and me being hooked on Blackburn Rovers from 7 years old. I loved going to watch Blackburn Rovers every week back then and still do now. Plus then parents would spend more in club shop and food/drink agreed I have suggested 2 or 3 things and each time you have turned badly on each idea like Kids season tickets for 1 pounds and weekend season tickets saying I've only suggested it cos it suit me when it has no affect on me alll but you shot do each idea. I did also said suggestion for the 2 games around Christmas have a family ticket which would be priced at 42 pounds for 2 adults and 2 kids for each game
  14. Shrewsbury CEO has said Hurst wont be returning to the club as next manager Bowyer not interested in the Shrewsbury job
  15. Thanks for sharing the info. I do quite like your idea of charging less for tickets bought in advance. clever idea.
  16. where the sudden demand coming from? most people have decided to come before the day of the game. do you have season ticket? I cant remember the last time I used cash at Ewood. Maybe have a turnstile where you can buy tickets from but then why have a ticket office then. Just buy them from ticket office. I have mention about having just weekend season ticket for fans, Kids season tickets being a pound, having a family ticket(2 adults and 2 kids) for 42 pounds for games around Christmas. The LT did some research asking non season tickets what would attract them back and why. parking around Ewood Park is none existed now. You used to be able to park next to the Fox and Hounds pub for 5 pounds but that's shut down and now is wasting away doing. I current park at the side of the Old Royal Blackburn Hospital where it is free. Where I sit there is some elderly people who are struggling to park close to the ground. I do feel Rovers and council need to put something into place for these types of fans.
  17. great effort by Rovers fans. cant wait for the game. All day drinking and partying in Preston.
  18. Total commitment. @EBenno88 is here to stay! ? Full story: https://t.co/EjPQKk5C4f https://t.co/TinwxU3Jfv
  19. I have just got a new job that will allow me to attend more youth games but the main reasons were my current job was having a negative impact at home family wise and the job wasnt suitable any more for me. Kids tickets should be a pounds over christmas. Then they spend more in ground like food, drink.and club shop. Normally it at least cost me 10 pounds in shop then a hot dog, crisp and drink when my step daughter comes to some games
  20. I always put my family 1st and make sure we are right for money wise and many other things. I love going to Rovers and walking down Bolton Road every game. I would make tickets for Christmas games very cheap. Kids are off school so get them interested.
  21. Good. The communication seems good between Mowbray and owners. Hopefully this week Mowbray is sorting through scouting reports and finalising his top targets and maybe some final scouting on targets.
  22. I wouldnt say its pointless. Getting early chances of away tickets, Discounted home league match tickets, Exemption from home matchday price increase and Exclusive competitions & events.
  23. Heard he been doing a director of football course whilst at Blackpool. So ive put 2 and 2 together. Hope he comes back at management level at a good sensible club.
