  1. Thanks for the reply.. Do you think Trafford or Cullen will be sold before deadline day?
  2. Eustace isn't running recruitment but he is part of process just like he should be. You cannot sign players without Eustace approval. Eustace did sign off on Gueye and Ohashi cos he liked what he witnessed from what he was presented by Park and Gestede in the report. I would be happy with Dembele coming here but I think we can do much better than Ruddy. I would ideally like it to be permanent signing, but Rushworth coming here would be good signing overall but short term solution for me.
  3. Thanks for reply. So you think you sign a couple of players and sell a few squad/fringe players? Any reason why Hladky isn't on the bench or even starting? That's what they were saying yesterday about the game on Radio Lancs saying performance were awful.. Discord in the camp? Is this players wanting out cos they not playing or Kompany leaving and Parker different manager, or other reasons?
  4. But as @Paul Manisays its the head coach job on the line if he doesn't get the results so he should and rightly have an opinion. Eustace will have access to the same data, analysis and video clips as Park and the recruitment team, but if Eustace doesn't agree or think he doesn't fit then quite rightly says no. On Dembele I would sign him if Nixon story he is available for £1m. Seems a no brainer for me. On Ruddy, not keen at all. Think Drommel, Rushworth or Iversen are better options for me.
  5. what do you make of Scott Parker as manager and what did you think of yesterday result and performance? Are Cullen, Weoghurst and few others going to leave before end of the window?
  6. Park, Gestede and Owen to improve the recruit of players from previous seasons under GB and Williams/Kimberley cos it wasn't good enough. Park/Gestede/Owen found 2 strikers who was better than we have signed in few years since we signed Armstrong and BBD I would imagine Thomas Frank at Brighton has a lot of say but he has been coach then head coach there, so will know the people very well above him or in the recruitment department who he has build up relationship with Eustace hasn't work with Park and Gestede for around 2 months so not build up that realtions they need exactly Paul, well though out and logically points made.
  7. I think if Eustace can get Dembele at his best he would be very good signing. Eustace signed him at Birmingham. Why do you think we should sign Ryo Germain? Do we really need another striker when we got Gueye, Ohashi and Leonard who can play as the 9. Eustace I think wants a keeper who he can trust hence why he wants Ruddy. He deffo wouldn't be my choice either tho. any suggestions?
  8. Its going to be interesting 6 days now. Lots of links but that's cos we are asking clubs their prices for players, or agents leak it. A new number 1 keeper is a must. Whether its a loan or perm deal, I not over bothered as long as it an quality keeper who is good shot stopper, command his box and good communicate. Out of the 3 keepers we are linked I would have gone for Drommel myself. I hope there is other names on that list. Aasgaard can play any of the 3 positions behind the main striker. He did scored the winner against Rovers in the FA cup tie in 2021 at Wigan. Hall would have to be permanent deal for me. Box to box midfielder and what we need. Dembele, wouldn't surprise me if he joins now. Nicko mentioned £1m plus add ons. I would make that deal now. Still need a left back. Surely its about signing a quality number 1 who will win us points and keep clean sheets more of. lets see who we sign this week I didn't know he moved back to Aberdeen at all. It didn't work out at Millwall but I don't think it was the right team for him to joined. Harris never picked him so a move was on the cards for him I guess. You know how football works by now, clubs will have varied list of targets and it about which player we ideally want but also who is available. Its going to get busy this week
  9. very happy to win that game and get the 3 points. It was exactly what I thought it would be against Oxford a difficult game and first half it turned out to be so with them missing one great chance and scoring a wonder goal from 35 yards out. I won't blame Pears for that one but the need for a new keeper signing is a Must. Rovers did create a couple of chances first half but I thought we deffo lacked a focus point/target man up front presence. Surprised Gueye didn't come on at half time, But straight from kick off second half Gueye was warming up and 5 minutes later he brought in on and it make a different to us. Ohashi dropped into the 10 role and Dolan wide left. We looked a better team with Gueye up front. Gueye wanted Rovers players to keep crossing the ball into the box for him at every opportunity. He told Brittain get the ball in. Confident in his ability. Sigurdsson goal was very good and delighted to get the win. Eustace was positive in his changes and keep trying to win the game. All 3 subs made an impact and we finally have options off the bench that we didn't last season under Eustace delighted win
  10. No idea In his latest interview, he said something like mid table finish pushing top 10. Or words to that effect
  11. Have they shown more ambition? Really? Maybe he doesn't want to back there. He is from Halifax so maybe we are more appealing from that's point of view Yes they signed a keeper but was he sign as number 1 or signed as a squad keeper
  12. Fair play to you. It's going to interesting last 7 days of transfer window. Its probably won't happen but I hope it does. Tyler Miller? Maybe Rushworth has decided he doesn't want to go there and go elsewhere(hopefully us)
  13. Cos he would be very good signing here. Thought that was obvious tbh. You said Gueye wouldn't happened but it did very quickly and we signed him.
  14. So just 1 loan player?. It's does it to be loan Keeper we are after. Ruddy is 3rd choice at Newcastle. So unless they buy Trafford don't that as a possibility. So it's seems Drommel, Iversen Rushworth, maybe others are the current list. Couple of wingers? Surely we only need 1 when we have Hedges, JRC, Weimann and Sigurdsson as wide players. Deffo need a centre midfielder and Left back. Expect 4 in before the deadline. New keeper, left back, centre midfielder and Winger.. Then hoping for Stansfield or Germain or another forward
  15. Surely, you sign the best keeper you can. Rushworth will be loan but he is good solid keeper. Ideally you would bring in permanent keeper and I understand your points we have brought in x amount over the last 12 months but half of that has gone to paid for last season debt. I would like Iversen on a permanent deal ideally but we aren't paying 25k a week, but on the other hand we can give him regular first team football compare to nothing now. Steele was here before Raya. Raya took over from him when Mowbray dropped him during our relegation season. Walton replaced Raya cos Mowbray's first choices went elsewhere
  16. Firstly, JRC isn't fully fit and carrying an injury. Its been 2 games, I think its way too early to say it isn't working. Brittain from the right back stretches the pitch. Its been 2 games, you are looking for Perfection here again. You haven't took this is work in progress and understanding that JRC is carrying an injury since the season started
  17. Rushworth is the best loan keeper we could get and he probably the best British based keeper we could sign. Yes its a loan but if he helps us move up the league then its helps us, But we are still decide who we want and who is first choice, cos Ruddy, Drommel and Iversen are on the list for the new keeper position. its a busy week after Tomorrow game and we need players in, 4 signings is the minimal we need, ideally 5. Still think one and 2 will go like Sigurdsson and Vale will leave
  18. It's normal that clubs have many names on shortlist for each position. I would have hope that Rovers would have get a couple over the line this week, but sadly we haven't. We need to make decisions on the players we want to sign. I'm hoping we can agree deals for a couple of players over the weeks and get the medicals done then announce on Monday/Tuesday. Over to you now Rovers recruitment team to bring players in
  19. Pears Brittain Hyam Batth Pickering Travis Tronstad JRC Dolan Hedges Gueye Subs:- Hilton, McFadzean, Duru, Buckley, Weimann, Sigurdsson, Ohashi, Vale, Batty My score prediction is 2 nil Rovers with Gueye scoring both goals
  20. Its a completely mess at Chelsea. The ownership in the last 2 years at Chelsea has been a mess. Its a joke the amount of transfer ins and outs there, 4 different permanent head coaches, lack of transfer cohered plan, long term contracts. Bohely is only small part of the ownership there. Some reports say Behdad Eghbali is the main power at Chelsea Todd Boehly was Poch IN, but Behdad Eghbali was Poch OUT, and we know who won - We Ain't Got No History (sbnation.com) Graham Potter’s surreal Chelsea reign – ‘There were so many players, some had to change in corridor’ - The Athletic (nytimes.com) Boehly happy to remain face of New Chelsea, even if real power lies elsewhere - We Ain't Got No History (sbnation.com)
