  1. no wonder people won't used them
  2. Cos they will employ an head coach who fits the ethos of the club and what they want. If you are club who wants to bring through young players and develop them then you would appoint someone with history of this. If you want to play a certain playing style then you appoint someone who fits your objective. Of course he didn't the sack for me. He got the job done and get the promote just like when we appointed Eustace and he kept us up. job done
  3. You would play as left wing back or left winger getting balls into the box for strikers, but you need strikers who suit that Maybe the problem is the way they were playing under their former head coach and maybe the strikers that suit that style
  4. If you pay a loan fee I believe that player can't be recall. Van Nistelrooy has said he isn't looking at Recalling him.
  5. Yes, I would like to spend some money on a couple of players. You seen plenty of football RF99 like myself but I dont see standout striker in the EFL who you think sign him and we get playoffs. Its was similar point Mark Atkins and Glen Little was making on Radio Lancs post match on Saturday Gueye has got better last 2 goals so let's hope for more improvement from him
  6. Mowbray wanted to turn him into Mahrez. Stupid there. Mowbray should have thought we need a striker aswell as Giles.
  7. I thought Harris was doing a good job there and shouldn't have been sacked there
  8. Can't agree. He is passionate about football, confident in his ability, etc.. We have to agree to disagree here No surprised but its the Southampton owner and Director of Football who wanted to play this style and chased Russell Martin for weeks. Former Danish national team coach Kasper Hjulmand is the bookies favourite. Question is, is the change of head coach too late to keep them up and would they be better focusing on appointing a head coach for next season in the Championship and getting promotion from it. they got the recruitment badly wrong in the summer. signed too many players not enough quality Very weird sacking their head coach Des Buckingham after doing a great job getting them up
  9. I would make 2 changes Brittain for JRC and Cantwell for Ohashi.
  10. No thanks. I just think it's what we need in terms of pace wide left and he isn't a number 9 striker. It's been reported that Wilder at Sheffield United wants to sign on loan in January. I wonder if Leicester City would be willing to end Tom Cannon loan at Stoke and he joined us. A team fighting for playoffs not a team in lower end of the table. Long shot
  11. Yes true, but given that if we can sign the striker winger with pace and centre back then we can achieve top 6 by end of the season. Do you agree it going to be hard to find a quality striker signing that will improve us taking into account our likely budget aswell as number of other Championship teams will be looking for one? Maybe we should take a gamble on a striker from Europe or striker in form in League 1 or take a risk on young Striker from PL team?
  12. no chance. Ange is class
  13. Perfect time for Spurs to play. Anyone for 5 nil?
  14. Amad Diallo was the best player on the pitch by a mile. Pep needs to revamp this team
  15. Nope, I turned on Mowbray when we lost 2 nil to Barnsley away during the Covid shut out season when no fans were allowed inside stadium. I also slammed Mowbray for switching tactics early enough from 3-4-3 with false 9 to 4-2-3-1 in the last few weeks of the season which would have get us top 6 and playoff place plus his misused of Ryan Giles when he signed him on loan
  16. I'm amazing by that sacking and what their plan who to appoint next I can understand that but its good news he is ready to return to work
  17. I have hold my hands and admitted I was wrong on JDT sticking to his principles and after learning the problems with the team and falling out with certain players, you developed a different opinion. On Eustace, you knew the type of team he would build and you witness that at Birmingham cos when we played them it was always good game and you could see how solid and well drilled they were. The evidence was there, cos Eustace, Gardner and Downing coached and drilled the team into being well organised and solid. We could still play good attacking football but keeping the back door shut. They kept us up, job done move on to the next season
  18. Toth - not seen yet. no mark yet Batth - 7.5. solid and reliable centre back Beck 8.5. quality player McFadzean - not seen much of him but he is playing a team role behind the scenes Baker 7 solid back up for Travis and Tronstad and been used elsewhere Ohashi 7, scored some good goals, work rate excellent, joy to watch him ACD - only seen bits of him so far till yesterday. Almost like watching a younger Saka verision Weimann 7, scored some goals and his strike against Burnley was a great one Gueye - 5. hit and miss. confidence player and he did some good things yesterday. Cantwell 9 quality player and working hard for the team.
  19. Baker can for me but I can see your point. Eustace and the players would have to sort of adapt different. I can see your point here Paul.
  20. You are correct on your points that Eustace and his staff have created a strong team ethic and togetherness between Eustace, players and the fans. Just look at the reception Eustace from the fans post game. Joy to watch Back end of the season at best Maybe they just need to be change at Luton. I think they need some signings in wide areas and centre midfield in January. If Edwards was sack, if I was Luton owner I would be looking at Steve Cooper as his replacement We played that way when Eustace thinks it will bring us 3 points like Yesterday but other wins we played differently like sit back and hit teams on the counter. Eustace has shown he is far more adaptable to tactics and playing the game I can understand Paul's points and his point of view. I think finding a quality striker to sign will be battle cos most of this league is looking in the same pond including teams like Burnley
  21. expecting an appointment close to Wolves owner friend Mendes
  22. Thanks Paul. Its clear from that Stanley game how Eustace wanted to play in the main but what I also like is he is adaptable and I feel that Travis/Tronstad partnership in centre midfield is the rock of our team I can understand what you are saying whilst not agreeing as such. I think we need 3 signings in January with centre back on loan, left Winger with pace and striker. Our biggest problem will be signing a quality striker on the budget we have
