  1. I'm sure Andy Bayes and Elliott Jackson will ask John Eustace at this afternoon press interview about Hedges. The reply I posted was what Eustace said post interview on Saturday Go on then what would your team been? 11 names and Formation please Mercer. O'Riordan is cup-tied and I don't want to McFadzean or Buckley pick up injury that keeps them our of any league game. Catch 22 situation here Newcastle play 4-3-3 and I feel that we can get at their back line with Gallagher, Szmodics and Dolan by turning their backline by balls down the side of their centre backs and full backs. Defensive we have to solid and smart defending. As you would have seen on Saturday that the players gave everything for the fans, club and Eustace. The team spirit is good, but I just don't want to see someone like Buckley or McFadzean pick up an injury that keep their out for a few games. We need to stay up but I also want to beat Newcastle. Great to hear and lets hope for 15k Rovers fans on
  2. I would rest McFadzean for this game and play Koumetio. Move Hyam to the middle of the back 3. Wouldn't play Chrisene at left centre with Wharton in the middle of the back. Plus I would play Garrett in place Buckley with him being a sub. Pickering starts at left back. So my team would be Pears Koumetio Hyam Wharton Brittain Tronstad Garrett Pickering Dolan Szmodics Gallagher Subs:- Wahlstedt McFadzean Chrisene Moran Buckley Telalovic Sigurdsson Glisenan Ayari
  3. I think you are correct actually. Page 17 of this document https://www.thefa.com/-/media/thefacom-new/files/competitions/2022-23/emirates-fa-cup/rules-of-the-fa-challenge-cup-2022-23.ashx
  4. Newcastle United of course No chance. It will Lineker, Shearer and probably Jermaine Jenas That's why getting back to PL wouldn't just increase revenue but also increase the number of people attending games.
  5. I honestly don't know
  6. Depends on what they want IMO, It's would cost £50m to buy us including the training ground. £20m to fund the 1st year running cost until you bring in a complete and new commercial team to improve the club plus a new CEO with commercial background to increase commercial operations. Then clean and improve the stadium, improve and fund the academy and improve the club 1st training facilities.
  7. It will be interesting to see if Kompany will be there next season and what the squad actually is and will it suit the Championship. This squad currently is very different to the one that actually got promoted.
  8. McFadzean(I think after being on the bench for Coventry in the third round but not playing) and O'Riordan is cup tied
  9. interesting. Given it would cost £400m to buy Brentford according to the same article. Rovers would cost very less and then they could invest in the club and improving for less half of that in my opinion.
  10. Pears and the centre backs don't pass around at the back but clear the lines and kick more cos we don't want to take much risk at the back and we set up more pragmatic now whilst playing some decent stuff. Set Plays are put into the box and yesterday we show we can score goals from them. We didn't do play hoofball as the poster said but we sometimes play balls down the sides of the centre back which turns their defenders and then pushes them back creating spaces for our attacking players. I was massive fan of JDT but to be honest, it had reach the end cos he didn't want to be here anymore, Its seems like the players lost confidence in him and maybe him in them. I do think he would have taken us to PL if he had been backed in the summer and I was disappointed he wasn't. I wish him well in the future.
  11. What do he do well and could improve with? could he challenge Pickering next season for the left back/wing back role?
  12. Brittain had a good game and he suits the wing back role
  13. We don't play hoofball under Eustace. Eustace has made the defence tighten and more of an unit now then this season. Its effective. Also it is overplayed that all Norwich had to do was just played in behind McFadzean. It happened a couple of times cos we pressed much higher up yesterday
  14. Sad to see JDT after his first season but he wasn't happy here. Eustace has gone back to basics and make us harder and more solid defensively. Similarly to what Hughes did here when he took over here
  15. I wouldn't be surprised if Lowe left now Downing has joined here. No surprised Ben Rosen has left now JDT gone
  16. I think it was good solid performance against a very good team. Its another point on the board and defensively we look much better as a team given that Eustace has had very little time on the training ground with them. Norwich caused problems for us but given their quality I would expect this but they only had 7 shots at goal which surprised me to be honest given their quality. Kenny McLean makes them tick and Szmodics and Dolan had a job to do defensively on him. After Norwich scored, Sam Gallagher had 3 good chances to score each time Gunn made a good save. After Half time, we applied more pressure and Hyam scored a good header from Pickering good corner. After that we continue to tried and work hard but just couldn't find that winner we all want. Stand out performers for me were Sam Gallagher, John Buckley, Domonic Hyam, Sammie Szmodics(given his partner just given birth this morning) and Ty Dolan. Yes we are playing less on the front foot and more pragmatic under Eustace who is taking the team back to basics and similar to what Mark Hughes did when he took over the team. I thought the ref was awful and clueless. Just another out of depth ref at EFL level On to Tuesday night and the Alan Shearer derby. It will be very interesting to see the team we will pick for this game.
  17. Fair play Leeds. I still think Leicester won't win the league and won't finish top 2. Leeds and Southampton will
  18. Andy Bayes and Elliott Jackson have been asked on twitter about Zak Gilsenan being part of the first team. I would have him on the bench instead of Markanday
  19. I think tomorrow game will be interesting to watch different styles of football. I expect Eustace will set up to similar how we played against Stoke and I expect Dolan, Hedges and Buckley to start. Expect it to be 3-4-2-1 formation. Norwich will have more possession in this game. We need to carry on being solid defending from open play and build on the last 2 performances I think we will win 2 nil with Dolan and Hyam scoring
  20. Don't think that an extra man in midfield is needed tbh. We need Dolan in the team. We need his movement and energy plus this will help Gallagher and Szmodics aswell
  21. Pears Hyam McFadzean Wharton Briitain Buckley Tronstad Hedges Dolan Szmodics Gallagher
  22. Each to their own Mercer, but I will be renewing if you don't buy a ST, fine but don't lecture me into my commitment to my football club which I will always support through the Good and bad times As others has said a boycott has already of alot of fans for various reasons.
  23. I will renewing my ST for next season when available
  24. Thanks for report there arbitro. Eustace has gone back to basics currently similar to back Hughes did when he first came in here. Sometimes not great but can affect. More time here he will develop our attacking football. Time on the training ground is needed for Eustace
