  1. Dack and Brittain on for Szmodics and JRC
  2. I would be bring on Garrett and Dack for Morton and Szmodics
  3. not that I can remember. very interesting times. West Ham vs Southampton tomorrow will be good interesting game. Hoping Southampton beat them
  4. Good to see Man City beating Liverpool. Liverpool need a mini overhaul and some new players in centre midfield like Bellingham from Dortmund and McAllister from Brighton those losses are mouth watering and just shows how much of a mess they have been in over the last few seasons with spending money after money with no clear transfer plan or stability in the manager/head coach seat. If they go down then there is only one man to blame
  5. Blackpool second half much the better team and created 3 very good chances. first half they weren't in the game. I see Watford changing manager again hasn't worked. Edwards getting pay back for his unfair sacking in my opinion there
  6. good starting 11. strong bench aswell with allow us different options if we need to change it
  7. Stewart yes but he didn't play tonight and out injured. Rest not me. Clarke over Brereton-Diaz?. Roberts over Thomas/Hedges? O'Nien over Hyam/Carter? No Chance for me
  8. Brereton is key player if we want promotion this season.. Would you still of sold him for these lower offers we received?
  9. Sunderland defended well but created very little. Burnley not good enough in the final third. O'Nien was the best player on the pitch for me.
  10. Better squad this us? Are you serious?
  11. I think he was worth 15 million based on what other Championship players have been sold in previous season after scoring 20 goals plus. Says alot when a top half Spanish team want him but no PL team put a bid in for him apart from Fulham. Everton, West Ham and Leeds all linked but no offers
  12. He worth more to Rovers and our promotion hopes then 8.4 millions.
  13. We didn't recieved any acceptable bids for him. Simple as. The bids we did recieved were rightly rejected. He is worth far more than the offers we got. It's a simple as that. I don't know why you still going on about it. We all know your opinion on it and you think Rovers were wrong to rejected those offers. Others including myself think we were right to rejected those bids and keep hold of a key player. We all understand the FFP argument aswell.
  14. cos you keep mentioning it has 8.4 mil loan which the BBD case isn't. This is player who has been here for 5 years and the 2 years he has been very good for Rovers in terms of goals and performances. Yes we have took a gamble on keeping him here for this season but if get promote then it would be worthwhile gamble and I think he stays here. We never received an acceptable bid and we were right to rejected these low bids. You think we should have accepted one. We don't agree. Rothwell wanted out for ages. The contracts we agreed in the last 2 weeks are very good for the long term of the club and I would expect another 3 or 4 in the coming weeks players like Pears, JRC, Dolan and Gallagher. Travis, Buckley, Pickering, Brittain and Pickering have between 2 and 4 years left on their contracts but I would be looking to discuss new terms with Pickering and Hyam in the summer we knew we needed a centre back signing when GB and JDT came in. not the case with BBD in case we get to the PL and if we do then he signed a new contract here
  15. Reading case was on going and it went to the panel before the deadline. It was suspend point deduction which has now beome activate, I hope Reading go down now with Ince in charge
  16. What does Dack want and if it regular first team football then it could be elsewhere then but if he wants to stay and fight for his place and achieve another promotion here then activate the 1 year extension. Szmodics should be first choice on form. Ayala I would let go in the summer.
  17. Maybe a reason why sales were slow cos of people pay day date. A large number of people would have been paid this week
  18. Of course it matters but given their comments they back the owners valuation on him. Mowbray got extra 6 weeks contract extensions for a few players after the covid lockdown. He also.said he could suggest that a certain player should get a contract extension. JDT's role is different to Mowbray one. He is the Head coach here. Plus we have officially director of football in place. Something we didn't before. I answered your question but you didnt like the answer tho. I think it's strange way of looking at the BBD situation and irrelevant one. It's short term risk but worth doing it and keeping him here Rovers kept BBD and when you look at that we had complete overall of staff in key positions of Director of football, Head coach and head of recruitment. I think it was too much of gamble of replace key player like BBD without much scouting and research from those new appointments like Broughton, JDT and Williams I still think we made the right decision to keep him. You don't. That's the way you are looking at the situation and most of us on here aren't and look it we kept a player who is helping us get a playoff place and hopefully promotion, then maybe BBD will stay long term here
  19. The below post is from this twitter account and he is spot on with his opinion in my opinion. https://twitter.com/_The72/status/1641397728054763520?t=YXV9EN3HvI6oDGfLz08IrA&s=19 With news that DAZN plan to broadcast every EFL game live, there’s no better time to explain why the 3pm blackout is so important. England has the deepest pyramid, in terms of attendances, and no other league has such a traditional and sacrosanct time for football for ALL games. There’ll be thousands of walk-up, casual fans who’ll stop going to watch their local team because they can watch the big boys on telly. It's these casual fans who pay their £10-25 on the turnstile, plus other spends, which helps to keep these clubs running in terms of a weekly cash flow because season ticket holders pay in one at the start of the season. Think of the amount of away fans that would stop going and travelling hours on a coach cos they can watch it on telly. It's also not about 1 game, or 1 weekend. It's about habit-forming, it's about behavioural patterns. It's about how removing the blackout could, in the long-term, have an irreversible effect on parts of the pyramid. England is the only country in Europe where we have one time slot. 73% of match kick off at 3pm on a Saturday. As opposed to 28% in Germany which is the next highest. You’ll then open up the possibility for people going to watch it at their mates or decide to stay in the pub and watch it. Again this is habit forming. It’s so dangerous and could kill what’s brilliant about English football. You get 40,000 at a ground in the championship. Three League One teams get around 30,000. A League Two team get 20,000. There’s a National League team that got 15,000+ this season. South Shields who play in the 7th tier average 2,000 fans. You can’t risk losing the beauty of that just to pander to those who don’t already go to football matches. I completely understand that there are circumstances that mean unfortunately some supporters are unable to attend. But the power of English football, it’s supporters and it’s attendances far outweigh that. A lot of this has been taken from @DaleJohnsonESPN who articulates this point so well. Let’s hope the 3pm blackout never gets scrapped.
