I think us wanting O'Brien was that given the quality player he is you would improve this squad and given the Adam Wharton situation make us want to sign O'Brien. People have sad they were a falling out between them before he got injured. Is he even ready for the first team given he has only just come back into the match squad. I would go for Garrett over Morton myself for this game

This is the team I would pick Pears JRC Carter Hyam Brittain Travis Garrett Thomas Szmodics BBD Gallagher Subs:- Hilton, Pickering, Phillips, Morton, Hedges, Dolan, Leonard Very harsh to dropped Dolan and Pickering to be honest but but it was between Thomas or Dolan and Brittain or Pickering to be selected. Garrett selection in midfield is a simple one for me cos he will make tackles and can switch the play aswell

good point and JDT has made the point from day one that squad players must been match fit and why they play so much for under 23's than ever before and taking parts in these sorts of games

I think playing the deep midfield playmaker is right role for him in this team with Travis next to him. Unless Dack goes in the summer I can not seen him playing that high up in the 10 role again I think Morton has been goodish overall this season but recently had a number of poor games and rightly dropped by JDT. O'Brien deal was mess up by our admin team(Not GB or recruitment team) It will be interesting to see if we sign a midfielder this summer and whether Adam Wharton and Jake Garrett will play more next season
