Broughton was with O'Brien at his medical at Manchester City training ground. I don't know why it held there before you asked. If you actually listened to his interview properly you would know that he and O'Brien got back to Brockhall as soon as possible. Waggott was attending the Birmingham game whilst Company secretary was at Ewood Park finalising the paperwork and a couple of the media team was at Brockhall interviewing O'Brien cos we thought the transfer was done. The company secretary and his role is responsible to Waggott not Broughton. I see it Broughton runs the footballing side of the club and Waggott the administration side of the club

We haven't had O'Brien all season and yet been top 6 team most of the team, but many of people rather focus on us not getting O'Brien than actually looking at this squad has got us into playoffs picture. Well we got so far witn the current set of midfielders we have that have kept us with playoff place most of the season. No reason they shouldn't finish it. All 5 midfielders have played a part in us being in that position Guess it depends how you look at it.

I think us wanting O'Brien was that given the quality player he is you would improve this squad and given the Adam Wharton situation make us want to sign O'Brien. I get very annoyed when you using this kids term. They aren't kids at all, They are proffessional footballers who are start of their careers but good enough to play in this squad in the championship. More important we need to sort out this Adam Wharton situation. I would be signing 1 player for midfield if we still in Championship next season
