  1. what don't you get? time or day aren't a problem at all, I have been used to attending Rovers matches on different days so its no difference nowadays compare to 5 or 10 years ago. Also to add this is main social activity with my bro and nephew. We enjoying attending Rovers home games and also hopefully more away games next season with my missus getting better after serious illness. You and others might not be able to attend for different reasons but plenty of us to attend every home games.
  2. if Venkys want to appoint Gestede they would have done it already in my opinion. Why employing an employment agency to find a CEO if the leading candidate is already within your organisation. I think it will still be another month or so before we appoint a new CEO
  3. They were at Liverpool FC at different times
  4. Looks hope for a good Spanish Grand Prix. Monaco race was boring and not a great race
  5. I don't see Gestede being made the CEO for us this summer. If so, the owners would have done it straight away. They don't care about bad press otherwise they would have made a different decision over the women team and actually invested more than the minimum and they could have made some investment in the women's team and got promotion plus good PR from it. If I was the Rovers owner I would have invested a couple of million into the team and go for promotion, the interest in the Rovers women team isn't alot but having a better overall strategy to increase attendance but also make good PR for the club and the women game interest and popularly is increase even tho it isn't for myself. On the CEO, Parkinson's CV is more than decent enough and understand the role and his previous role at Liverpool means he understand how a football club is run but also been part of Plymouth's success. Nicko says Venkys has appointed a headhunt agency to find a new CEO so that's rules Gestede out surely.
  6. have their owners invested in the club and funding it properly plus wasn't their chairman of the company that owns the club at the stadium and part of after match celebrations.
  7. much rather be in the stadium supporting my team than watching on home even tho I can watch plenty of fixtures on TV. You can't beat being there watching your team. I much prefer being at Ewood Park 23 times a season then sat at home watching from my armchair every single time.
  8. yet again, never comment on Nicko's record have I or have I said he gets things wrong but people don't read the story properly. Just to be clear, Nicko's story hasn't said he is coming here but he is early front runner. Clearly other clubs will be clearly interest in our best young players just we were when Eze and Tyjon were at Stanley and Rochdale. Did anyone moan or complain when we took their best young players
  9. It was Former Plymouth director of Football Neil Dewship who was behind the Rooney appointment given Dewship was his youth coach at Everton when Rooney was coming through the ranks at Everton. None of us complained when we take Stanley or Rochdale brighter young players for our academy.
  10. Both wrong. He says Arsenal are interested in Tyjon. He never said he was off to United or Higgins to Arsenal but both clubs were interested in those players. Key word is interested in those players. People problem is they see a link to a player and misread the story whether its an incoming or outgoing
  11. He lives the other side of the world so how is attending games? Midweek nights have always been part of football in my time of following Rovers and Football so what's the issue?
  12. Nicko reporting that Plymouth Chief Executive Andrew Parkinson is the early front runner to replace Waggott as CEO here is his CV https://www.linkedin.com/in/andrew-parkinson-349888139?utm_source=share&utm_campaign=share_via&utm_content=profile&utm_medium=android_app
  13. Is Ohashi only decent championship player? Why doesn't Gueye not fit in anymore? He gives you a plan B and a player who could hold the ball up and scored decent return in his first season. Plus both will learn from this past season and hopefully be better for it
  14. Yet again Eddie, nowhere did I defend it!!! In fact, I posted out who we sign for cash. Simple as Eddie, if you have problem with my posts scroll past if such a problem with them.
  15. Let's hope its a good tasty pie
  16. I said it yesterday actually. Where I said Gestede runs the football operations whilst Adam Owen runs the other bits.
  17. Agreed. Not asking for tens of millions pounds for 2 or 3 million pounds for a couple of signings How much funding do you want and do you have faith in Gestede yourself? I would like to see a new keeper, centre back, 2 centre midfielder and 2 or 3 attacking players. How much would that cost? God knows, but we must improve the quality of our loan signings. I'm unsure on whether I think Gestede can do it. How much of the transfer negotiation did he do last season I dont know, but let's hope he can do for the sake of Rovers and our season.
  18. Firstly, I'm not defending it but provide the facts that we did spend some money. Secondly, I would have like us to more money in both window. I have said this clearly in both window. I wanted Thomas-Asante in January. Thought he would fit our squad and I would target him again this summer if I was in charge. I wanted De Lange last summer and he was be good keeper for us but Rovers wouldn't pay the extra cash of 200/300k for him. Thirdly, I agree we are missing an opportunity to reinvest more money then we did last summer. Last summer, it was reported Eustace wanted to sign Jay Stansfield permanently and spend all the Szmodics money on him. I wanted him 2 years ago cos I thought he would be good signing. Last summer, spending that amount of money would have been a sign of intent and big push for a playoff place.
  19. Don't agree there. He played more than his part in our season and Yes I would give him a new 12 months contract
  20. You say we didn't spend last summer and we did. We bought Gueye, Ohashi, Cantwell and Toth for cash. Is that wrong? I never mentioned which deals funded by what sale of players did I? Some better than others. Ohashi probably best buy we done last summer for cash. Like I said in the season ticket thread, its a personal choice and no-one should be judge for whatever decision they make. If you have problem with people buying the Season ticket and wanting to back the team then that's your problem and issue
  21. GB was doing the roles that Gestede and Owen was doing. Is that wrong Mike.
  22. We need to replace Chilton and Benkenstein in their role. I would like to David Lloyd advising the club. I would like to see Flintoff and Hogg in the head coach and assistant coach role. Maybe even Chris Read as head coach switching to Men's team from the Women's team. Paul Farbrace would be other option. as director of cricket role, I don't know. Someone like Matt Maynard maybe
  23. Childish pathetic response from yourself. Better than shit or used to be. We need 5 centre backs in the squad. Yes we need 2 or 3 signings in forward areas Time for such questions is after the window not now.
