  1. Well yes cos we have played it different with a main striker in the 9 role. Plus Holtby playing deeper. What a cop out? One of attacking player can play centrally? Its yourself over obsessing about Dack and thinking Dack will be back to best from game 1 plus playing the formation that suit him. We need to formation that suit the entire squad we got and any new players we may sign. Dack might never be the player he was before and have to adapt his game. Like other footballers had to like Shearer or Owen did.
  2. I deffo wouldnt be parting way with Rothwell. Rothwell's performances werent good enough. Hes knows it aswell. Hoping for a good season from him
  3. Forget last season. Has no barring on this season and going forward. We have no idea how Dack will come back physical or mentally when he starts contact training. Stop expecting him to come back the same players. Could be months before he is back to be normal. Think you expecting far too much.
  4. That's why he hit form in the last few games last season.. Time to judge him is from 12th September against Bournemouth not from 30 mins of a pre season game
  5. And that's why he hasnt started many games last season. I would playing him from left cutting in. Talent is there
  6. Well let's see how it goes in pre season.. Dack is weeks away from back. Hes got 3 weeks of non contact training then going to couple of weeks of training plus under 23 game or 2 before he will play 1st team football..so Middle of of October before he back. So let's stop worrying about where Dack will play at the minute and focus on what suits our current players and squad. Holtby, Evans and Travis in midfield 3 would be good.
  7. We got 3 strikers in Armstrong, Brereton and Gallagher plus Vale. So I think we got enough.
  8. Rothwell isn't a winger then but wide midfielder who drifts inside. It's more of Chapman's attitude and work rate that's worry me playing for under 23's. If the penny has finally dropped and he is willing to improve attitude and work rate then great
  9. Its seems we are going that way judging by today's performance and line up.. We don't what going on Dack yet in terms of coming back. He's got 3 weeks of non contact training first before resuming normal training. Probably October before he is back properly in the first team squad. I would imagine we won't rush him either 4-3-3 could be the way to go Vale is a great talent and someone we need to develop. Will be good player for us. I've seen plenty of him..

  11. I agree and that was point earlier on in the week. We can't be waiting for him to decided. He had long enough to decide. He hasn't so lets move on depends on the budget and who else we want. We still need a left back, back up keeper and possible another centre back. Would Lindsay be needed if we are keeping Williams and Wharton with both of them being left footed.
  12. Well Buckley on the left of the front 3. Chapman didn't hung the touchline like winger would. Play much further inside but he looks like he wanted it for the first time in ages when I've seen him. Lets hope the penny has finally drop with him and his attitude. Dolan played much wider than Chapman did. We never got Rothwell into the game once before he went off injured.
  13. How was their crazy ridiculous calculations when I shown how I worked it out and based on the budget left form January and and the wages saved from players who left? I said 4 to 5 million football budget. We don't know if Covid-19 has impact the budget the owners have given Mowbray this transfer window or not? Unless you know for sure its all assessments and opinions
  14. Fisher isn't good enough. He went on loan last season and never played a league game at league 1 and 2 level. He is 22 years old and never played a 1st league team game here. If he was good enough he would be playing us or at least number 2 here. I think Hilton is much better based on what I have seen. I said for 2 years that Fisher need 1st team football. He never had it, so doesn't develop. He needs to go and play at a club regular same as Hilton does not, with Eastham the under 23's keeper We have different options and the future looks good. Armstrong isn't wide player by trade he is striker who is goal machine.
  15. This isn't what Mowbray said at all. Mowbray exactly words was" I haven't had full clarity on it" what is different to no Clarity. https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/18601936.downing-contract-expires-mowbray-waits-venkys-decision/
  16. All opinions Mercer. Life is as simple as you make it especially with finances. More Pure speculation and assessments yet. Have you got one right so far when given those sort of opinions? Can't think of one. The club, Waggott or Mowbray doesn't needs to come out and say anything about the Budget at all. Why let anyone know? Does any other managers come out and say anything about their budget? Of Course Mowbray has a football budget for the season. Thats why we have been enquiring and making offers for players past couple of weeks. So if we had no budget why are we buying a keeper for a fee and wages then? There is no evidence to support your 90% claim that Mowbray might have been told he has bring in a net 15 million. Would be ideal move for him to Fleetwood. He lives in Wrea Green so ideal move. interesting. Not seen much of him either. Joe have you gone any stats on him and his performances so we can have a look them please? Have you seen any stats on him? is he any good? Never seen play or seen any really stats on him apart from appearances and goals conceded
  17. Watched the full game so thanks for Rovers for that facility on to enable fans to watch. Good run out for the players who have been only back a week in training so wasn't expect too much today. Players who stood out where Chapman, Armstrong, Dolan. Armstrong does what he does best and scores goal. Exactly why he needs to play as striker and not as a winger. Dolan looks an exciting prospect and looks like the penny has finally drop with Chapman and he's wants to part of this first team going forward Fisher was awful and shown why I said he isn't good enough to part of first team here. Eastham much better and more confidence. Very surprise Joe Hilton didn't get a go today. Interesting that Mowbray stuck to his 4-3-3 system but adapt to playing a main striker as the 9 not has a false 9.
  18. Statement from the club about Ewood Park The club cite a lack of staff as the reason why Ewood has not been maintained, but insist that the necessary work will be undertaken to ensure that the ground is in pristine condition ahead of the new campaign. A statement from the club read: "Due to limited staff on site and priority given to other projects during the lockdown period, we are aware that certain areas of the stadium require attention and maintenance to those areas will be carried out over the coming days to ensure that Ewood Park is looking at its best ahead of our first competitive game of the season on Doncaster Rovers on Saturday August 29th." https://www.lancs.live/sport/football/football-news/blackburn-rovers-ewood-park-condition-18810198
  19. The foriegn market is where the value for money is for players.. Rovers using the European scouting network finally
  20. No my calculations were logical. I didn't say we would spend 5 million pounds on players..I said we have 5 millions pounds football budget on players fees and wages. On Vaccine ready by September comment from scientists at Oxford university. Check back and see what they said
  21. FFP are being lifted and salary cap of 20 millions according to someone on here. Why would pitch maintenance be part of FFP? How can we afford 450k plus wages then for Thomas Kaminski?
  22. Well you don't what affect Covid-19 has had on the budget do you? Yet again another thing we don't know for sure. We don't what the budget is that the owners gave Mowbray or those discussions gone. But we have a keeper coming in from Gent for 450k plus wages. I've done a logical calculation of the budget we had in January and wages saved by releasing those players.
  23. No surprise as we have been advertising his role at the club. Played a major role in getting Dack back to his current level of fitness. It is simple. I've shown how you can have a 4 to 5 million pounds football budget which include transfers and wages fees
