  1. We are moving away from that style of football. Why not bring through Jack Vale as part of the striker department going forward along with Armstrong, Brereton and Gallagher?
  2. what are people opinions on Jordan Jones? Stoke and Boro interested aswell
  3. Nothing wrong with looking at Vale, Butterworth, Carter and Maglorie in pre season. We need another centre back or 2(if Williams leaves) in even if Wharton will be part of the 1st team squad next season. I would be keeping Vale here next season as part of the striker unit. Mowbray needs to focus on bring in 3 first choice players in the keeper, Centre back and centre midfield areas before September.
  4. Depends what is more important to the player, playing regular football or collecting a wage. His house is lovely there. Its a good area and close to Lytham
  5. he was never going play in the last year here. Mulgrew is very settled where he lives but he won't play again here. No I look at point of view that I would want to be playing football and not just sit there not playing and just training it was me in that position. Money is important but so is being happy and playing regular football
  6. But have an owner who has financial back the club. Not Barnsley fault that Wigan had an owner who put the club into administration is it? whether its the club is to blame or not, the rules are clear.
  7. @Mercer what do you know of him? He looks ok from the online coverage you can find online but without seeing him live hard to judge and Smallwood wasted a year of career by sitting on his ass. Strange actions. Now linked with Sunderland. Yes Mulgrew is unwanted and he knows aswell. I suspect Rovers will pay him off just to get him out of the club.
  8. Will he can't nowt now. cos the club is in administration. I meant why buy a club then 4 weeks later he put them into administration? Very strange actions of a businessman If the EFL drop the 12 points then Barnsley will take them to court surely?
  9. And why did their former owner put them into administration? What did he gain from it?
  10. You mean this Paul? https://www.brfcs.com/mb/index.php?/forums/topic/34532-summer-transfer-window/&do=findComment&comment=2086526
  11. thanks for sharing the link. I wonder if we will look at the German defender Robin Bormuth we were linked with last summer. Out of contract now
  12. suggest you look again cos I've already quoting the exact quote above. here it is again "Cos I wasn't impressed by his performance for Derby against us. Plus where does he fit into Norwich team. "
  13. Rowett was always going to get Woods on loan again. He signed him for Stoke.
  14. "Cos I wasn't impressed by his performance for Derby against us. Plus where does he fit into Norwich team. " Thats was the entire post. So I did say on the original post that I didn't see how he fits in there. Anyway my last comment on this!
  15. suggested you look back cos I didn't. surprised by Norwich signing him and where he fits into that team. Don't see him replacing any of the 3 behind the striker. but did you( and Roversfan99) know they would be good or bad signings when they signed here. Thats was my point!
  16. I've seen him in a couple of playoffs games whether he is good enough for Championship is unknown until he plays in the league. His captain at Northampton and partner in the back 3 has had 2 championships teams trying to buy him I think he is good enough to be part of the squad going forward and with the Transfer window not ending until Mid October time we have time to assess him.
  17. It was poor appointment at the time and I said so. On Cowley, I think he knew it was coming and why he wasn't too distressed to be sacked. Yes Leigh Bromby has the head of football operations there now.
  18. Yes Wagner bought alot of crap players and he walked away from the job as he knew they were going down before Christmas. Even Allardyce said he couldn't have kept them up. Huddersfield never invested in the scouting and recruitment structure when they got promoted but relied on Wagner contacts. The appointment of Siewert was embarrassing and never a manager
  19. After Norwich was so close to going close they chose a caution approach and not willing to over spend but instead improve the infrastructure behind their scenes in recruitment structure, training ground and Academy structure. I am sure that their Sporting Director will say after the club is financial safe for the future now, and with be local owners ready to get promotion this season. You say They could have spent a small amount and have assets for the championship. Huddersfield bought players and went down so they had assets for this league but didn't do well at this level.
  20. I would like to give him a chance as part of the squad. He has alot of experience under his belt now. Why not give him a chance. Could this be another O'Connell situation here in a few years time
