  1. I am aware of that particular data Jim lets lock up the population again and ignore people choices and freedoms. What's the point in people getting jabs and boosters if everytime we lock the country down and close down businesses and people attending their socials events when a new variant. I don't expect any more lockdowns or to not attending football matches over the festive period
  2. but less inflectious leading to less hospitalisation and deaths
  3. Being outside reduce the risk massively as we are sit outside watching the game. Whitty has advised meeting people outside cos its massive reduces the risk. If you get there early which I do there is barely anyone there at that time so yet again reduce risk. Wearing Snood and scarf walking through the concourses and going to the toilet reduces the risk yet again. I am not going to keep scared of getting the virus if you want to keep over panicking everytime we get a new variant then thats your choice But I have made my choice and I wont be changing it I am not going to worry or stop doing normal life things for this virus People will make they own decisions for themselves
  4. everybody immunity will be different surely? I am fully aware of this data thanks Yet again Garners like I said yesterday I will be attending Football with family and friends over the Christmas period including the Hull away game and the home games. But I will be going to Auntie and Uncle house on Christmas day for family Christmas meal like I done for over 25 years before last Christmas and this virus turned up.
  5. Well like I said we are outside watching a game of football and other protections people will have in place. I won't be using the concourse at all or spending any time there. I see attending a game of football no more dangerous than having a shopping trip around Manchester town centre/Christmas markets or going to the cinema to watch a film. So do lockdown again and block people from everyday like events? And I don't think we will have any more lockdowns or circuit breaks. We have to live with the virus and lead as normal life as possible Given thats I don't do anything social apart from attending football now
  6. very wise decision and one I now following I am careful and sensible person in general but I believe in people liability, freedom and the ability for people to make their own choices
  7. very harsh criticism there. I wouldn't mind him back here but if we signing Hedges do we need Watt? We already have Armstrong in Ben Brereton. And I wouldn't assume that Maja is coming given concerns over his lack of playing time and fitness
  8. Well given most of our elderly population have had the booster jab then they will have immunity needed against this variant. I know about my own status but given that I have only just over 3 months from my second jab. Lets wait for proper data and not over reaction too soon
  9. No I live my life through being sensible and making the right decision at the time. But we can't keep running scared or keep worrying over these variants. We have to live with these virus and variants unless we keep shutting down the country every time.
  10. depends on your opinion but if you follow sensible advice then you are less likely to get this variant given thats you are sit outside. From my own point, given that's this is the only social event I do now I am more than happy to attend the game and support my Rovers team The season won't be cancelled at all. Please stop over reacting to this and we need to live our lives as normal as possible including attending football matches
  11. thanks for the update massive over reaction again. very disappointed to hear that Gav but given what Chris Whitty said this morning to the health select committee that if your priority is to attend a football match then do it. He said its people choice what they want to do and not. Lets calm down and stop over reaction to this variant and lets wait for the data. Who says tough for Hospitals when we don't have the data to back that up and more and more people are getting the booster including myself this afternoon. Plus other restrictions, We can't keep locking down the country every time we have a new variant.
  12. Rovers linked with Tony Watt Blackburn Rovers amongst clubs chasing Motherwell striker Tony Watt (msn.com)
  13. Venky's London Limited invest further £8m into Blackburn Rovers - LancsLive
  14. Would both overseas options meet the work permit rules?
  15. well that's your opinion that it is high risk to attend on Saturday but in my opinion no more risk than attending a supermarket or going into a pub or town centre shop. I disagree there is big chance of contracting it aswell by attending Ewood Park. So I take it you won't be attending Saturday game or any game over the Christmas Period even tho You keep saying we have to learn to live a normal life and not let it affect our daily activities
  16. would give us another option in the front2/3 depending how we play
  17. That's your opinion but I feel we need striker in January aswell as midfielder and right wing backs
  18. I think them staying up again is their aim this season
  19. Would anyone look at signing Brentford's striker Marcus Forss? This is suggestion cos he has been linked with other championship clubs and his agents are the same as Mowbray I believe
  20. Depends what your expectations are? Imo, they are where I would expect them to be
  21. Well clearly the players haven't been sensible then. To say they get test weekly don't they?
  22. Mark Cooper is the manager there. He believes in playing that way and playing at the back
  23. 3 former Rovers players in the Barrow team. Defenders Matthew Platt and Joe Grayson plus Midfielder Tom White. 1 former Rovers player in the ipswich team in Keeper Christian Walton
