He got 2 top 6 finish and playoff spot. Better than Mowbray did here He was the head coach of them not the person deciding on the players they signed or wages they got. He is someone I have like since his days at Sheffield United cos he is good coach and set his teams well.

Alot of foreign coaches are head coaches and they like to work with a director of football so if you are going to appoint a Daniel Farke or Carlos Carvalhal then you will need a director of football aswell

I think your post on Grayson is fair and balanced. Wouldn't be the right manager for us now. Pre Coyle, I think he was the right man for us but not now. Like Miller11 said, Grayson was like touting himself for the manager job here.

Stuart Webber is the man at Norwich who is appointed Daniel Farke. He is director of football there. He also appointed David Wagner at Huddersfield.

I know he was as I know Pete outside the forum but he made a fair point that some people think we can't do better than Mowbray whether its on social media sites, etc and I find its annoying and very negative on our club and we should be aiming for better and promotion within 2 years of any managerial appointment. Mowbray had 4 seasons to get us promotion and he failed. He has more money than other clubs. He was more than backed from the owners.. We were second on the 8th February and somehow we didn't make the playoffs so who is to blame for this? Surely Mowbray has to take the blame in the main. Also how are relegation candidate for next season before we even appoint his replacement?

Only Rothwell that has left Rovers who is key player. Lenihan and Nyambe are still in talks over a new contract. I'm not the biggest fan of Nyambe tho many on here are. Brereton is likely to leave but who knows what money we get next season cos Mowbray got money to spend during his time here. Huddersfield and Luton didn't have loads of money to spend over the past 2 seasons but recruit well and got a playoff place. Same as Barnsley previously season. If we make a good appointment then a promotion should be the target within 2 seasons.

You do it the right way not the way Watford have. You should approach the club first and agree terms first I want Farke. He is the right man to take us forward. I think Rovers will appoint DoF in the few days(based on my opinion and couple of other things) then bring in head coach who I would want Daniel Farke. I can understand your comment on Liam Manning but I think he is off to QPR imo. I agree with your last comment if we make the wrong appointment then it could be league 1. Who are backing to replace Mowbray? I backed Daniel Farke and got good odds on him.

Yes they might have appointed a new head coach for next season but deffo not the way they have done it one bit

Thankyou Tony Mowbray for the last 5 years and you have rebuilt the club I supported after Coyle left this club. I will remember our promotion season from League 1 and I will remember certain games from that season and the last 4 seasons in championship. But if Rovers are to get promote we need a new manager to take that next step. Sadly Mowbray hasn't been that man.

I think the Rovers manager/head coach job is a very attractive job for most good to decent managers/head coach out there. The things that's makes this manager/head coach job is a very attractive are we have a great academy that is producing players for the first team, you are allow time to build a team and allow to the football side of club, hopefully a decent squad there and could be good ones if the right signings are made where promotion can happen, hopefully a decent football transfer and wage budget. I am hopefully a good appointment can be made for the manager/head coach job. Are you happy with the 4 names you have seen linked with the job in Farke, Carvalhal, Ainsworth and Hughton? I think more than enough good/decent managers/head coaches will be interesting and want the job

I'm surprised by this news tbh if its happens but he appears to jump ahead of Gary Kirsten and Graham Ford. I thought he would be good choice as white ball head coach tbh
