  1. Yes I do aswell. Firstly, it isn't any obsession on Iversen, just simply pointing that his record of playing 2 years of first team football and represented his country at all levels up to under 21 level and as been in Danish main squad. I've seen clips of him from highlights and 1 video but I not enough to formed a proper opinion, But clubs arent going to give him a 5 and half years to a player if he hasn't got talent and potential. Did you disagree? No I don't. Cos Its for some clubs like Huddersfield with Ward, Swansea with Woodman or Rotherham with Rodak or Iversen. of course for some clubs it doesnt work like us last season with Walton. I prefer the best man for the job within our budget is whether its a loan, free or cheap fee. Like Josh Boswell posted before and Mowbray has said himself that you are working on different lists so you might have to a player on list B for the keeper position but a player on List A for centre back position. If you have watched Rovers Chat link I posted about some keepers options it gives some foreign names and thats I don't know much about. Have you watch it? Huddersfield had a different manager when they signed Grabara on loan. Also Huddersfield had Danny Ward on loan who was their 1st choice keeper when they got promoted
  2. Exactly plus other teams businesses will also have to be taking into account. Plus the transfer window doesn't close to mid October for domestic transfers aswell
  3. Rotherham had 2 loan keepers over the last 2 seasons and they both done well including Rodak being number 1 at Fulham or Iversen this season in balance aswell as Swansea keeper Woodman. So its works for some clubs. Walton was wrong move and he was poor signing. Depends on the quality and talent of the keeper surely before judging the player? Iversen had 2 season of playing league football and represented his country at all age levels and been senior squad so much be talent there. Plus he signed 5 and half years contract in February 2020 at Leicester City. So if he wasn't talent enough the surely Leicester wouldn't have give him such a long term contract. Muric shouldn't be write off on the back of couple of games at Forest. Given that Man City would have been happy with the way we used Adarabioyo last season, I would imagine that they would do another favourable loan or 2 this season. Phillips would be a very good signing here. is it viable I don't know sadly cos I don't know what our budget is or the fee they want
  4. Goode was linked with Middlesbrough and QPR last week.
  5. Here on Rovers Chat discussing different keepers stats and names. Good watch. https://twitter.com/rovers_chat/status/1290318159992553483?s=20 It mentions on there about his saves ratio and other stats. Look impressive the video you posted just unsure we can pay that fee currently. Was impressive with his quick footwork and not like Walton's footwork which is awful IMO. Yes supposedly has 4 or 5 championship teams chasing him so we will see. I can see Man City willing to loan us 1 or 2 players and helping us pay the wages due to the way play Adarabioyo and the playing time we given him. Wouldn't be surprise if we loan 1 or 2 players from Man City Well considering he lives in the Midlands, it isn't big news really Rotherham have loaned a keeper each of the last 2 season with Rodak in the 18/19 season who is now Fulham number 1 and in the 19/20 season Daniel Iversen. So its worked for them. I suggested Iversen and Muric last week as possible options if we do go down the loan route.
  6. He;s has been a good player for the under 23 over the years. granted,
  7. I think Carried our youth team is abit over the top there Joe but he is one thats will became a regular in the team over the coming seasons.
  8. who next for Bournemouth as manager to replace Howe as manager?
  9. I said possible in the 1st reply but want to know much more details and what measures will be able to make the stadium Covid 19 safe. It will be priority to some fans including some of the people I go with and possible me depending where I am sitting.
  10. Rovers head of academy recruitment Steve Cooper Rovers have adopted approaches from German clubs on how the Academy programme should be run. Making players adaptable to several different formations gives them an increased chance of success in the future, and at Rovers Cooper believes that the players are in good hands with the standard of coaching at the club. "I recently met with coaches from FC Köln’s academy and the coaches there said they let the academy teams play whatever formation they wanted," Cooper added. "They play two or three formations a season. The result of this approach is that you get tactically astute players who are adaptable and know more than one way of playing football. I do not see this approach to academy football a lot in England especially with the top clubs. https://www.lancs.live/sport/football/football-news/blackburn-rovers-academy-player-development-18700364
  11. 8 cards in 30 games isn't it? Cos he didn't sign a long term contract last time just a 1 year extension on top on 1 year left on his contract in April 2019 if I remember correctly
  12. I would possible buy one but I would need to know the circumstances and what is actually being offered and what would be offer if we didn't see bulk of the season in the stadium. I would want to know the situation with the stadium being Covid safe and what facilities will be open and not. No guarantee seats? I would want to be seating in roughly the same area as my original Season ticket seats and
  13. Some players are or have been in Spain aswell as Greece I would be offering both new long term contract aswell as Nyambe. I suspect Rothwell and Rankin Costello will sign new contract.
  14. Yes you have mention him on here before. I wouldn't be surprise if we did look at him. what are his strengths and weaknesses? I think they are realistic choices apart from the last suggestion as I don't know the player Nicholson. Well done Jaquob Not if Mowbray isn't going to play wingers. It would be wasting signings. Plus if Armstrong is sold then we need 1st choice striker in. I really hope that doesn't happen btw
  15. I feel we need a more attacking full back in we are going to move an attacking passing style. Nyambe hasn't improved in the attacking sider over the last 12 months. I feel its important if the full backs are going to provide the width going forward. You have to take into account thats he only 12 months left on his contract so if he isn't going to sign a new contract then we have to look to sell and get the price we can. Can we really afford another Josh King or Ben Marshall or Junior Hoilett situation again? The main priorities for me is a keeper who can command his box, communication and very shot stopper, Centre back to play next to Lenihan(and possible 2 depending on Williams and Wharton future at the club), a left back. So 4 or 5 on the list as we need at least back up right back at least.
  16. I can totally understand why you say that as some of the group I go with are saying the same points you have. I agree with that price offer that Rovers should offer but any existing season ticket holder(last season) should be offered a free home shirt and discount on the season ticket price of 10% Yes Some people will renew/pay for season ticket for a potential next season ST but we need to know what we are paying if terms of seating arrangements with seating with family or friends or where you will be seating as some people will want the same seat they have had for years, facilities open like catering, club shop, toilets and Kids facilities. if we aren't allowed in ground until after Christmas what will the club do to allow fans to watch games. We need to know the plan for the entire season for different scenarios going forward Plus with the local area in restrictions in terms of socialising and going outside the area with the increase Covid-19 cases is it really worth putting them online. How could a group of people who go together in 1 car go to the games if they don't live in same households? Also how will Stadiums be made Covid-19 safe? Until we know how this will be done? is it feasible to offer Season tickets at this stage I know other teams have offer season tickets to fans but some clubs have put them on hold. Clubs where they have sold 70 or 80% of stadium capacity how are they decide who go in and doesn't if they only allowed 33% of the stadium full?
  17. Rovers Stance on season tickets for 2020/2021 season. They waiting until they know what the regulations will be in terms of the amount of fans allowed in the stadium http://c.newsnow.co.uk/A/1041350291?-11198:839:latest_news
  18. Like I said to you few days/couple of weeks ago I wouldn't play with wide players but more inside with my full backs providing the width. One reason with I would like to see a right back with more attacking attributes come in. Did you forget this conversation? If we are bringing in any wingers then Mowbray is going to adapt the way he has played during his tenure at the club I have no idea what Mowbray will do this window. fair enough. We wanted Jordan Jones 1st I seen to remember. He would be good loan signing but wouldn't have got his PL winner medal tho
  19. Thanks for the squad First I have no idea on Whiteman rumour you need to asked the source of the info which was @Sparks Rover . Thought-out Mowbray time at the club hasn't played with natural wingers at the club apart from Conway during his time here as I have repeating said to yourself several times. If he is looking to buy or loan one a winger then its looks like a change of Strategy I would play a 4-2-3-1 formation New keeper Nyambe(or better attacking full back) Lenihan New CB New LB Travis Evans/Buckley Brereton/Holtby Dack Rothwell Armstrong Didn't we look to sign Jordan Jones from Liverpool who isn't a winger?
