  1. Good day for England today. Will be an excellent last day tomorrow.
  2. why do we need another defender when we have more than enough cover for those areas. That would be waste of money to bring him in. If we have sold Nyambe and bring in Wisdom then fair enough but we didn't sell him.
  3. Well unless I am in the room when these meetings are happening then I can't give you a deffo answered. But just look at Nixon comments to Rovers fans on twitter tells a story imo. Also I'm sure Bayes, Crooke and Sharpe will keep asking questions of Mowbray and Waggott. on Obafemi, we chased him for weeks and wasting time when we should have been signing a permanent striker who was interested in joining the club. Cos they are waiting and seeing but I would say alot will re sign here especially with most of championship clubs restricting their spending 2 very differents clubs operating at different levels. Man City targets will all past the work permit rules. Rovers I would imagine will have 1 person in recruitment and scouting department looking at players from European but the time for Rovers to bring in players from the European market has been reduced now. Mowbray and Rovers took too long in setting it up and apart from the 2 European keepers we have nothing to show for it. Rovers market has to been good league 1 and 2 players who can set up to Championship football, keep bringing through our good academy players and players from PL and championship clubs for low fees. Yes the owners has restricted what they have spend this summer cos of 2 reasons one is FFP and doubt over Mowbray's future
  4. He has been at the 2 league matches at Ewood Park.
  5. And plenty of clubs haven't allowed their players to travel like Newcastle haven't. Fifa should have come up with a proper solution to it all weeks ago
  6. Burke or Maja or Healey didn't move. We offered new contracts to players. We didn't sack him. We didn't renew his contract and now with the new work permit rules then we don't need a head of European scout. But just one or 2 data analysis/scout.
  7. Will he pass the work permit rules? You know the right players to play any style of play. With our current players which style do you think would fit them best?
  8. wrong move by the UK Government and one I don't see passing through Parliament
  9. hasn't given a reason to be honest but appears to be blaming the club and lack of expertise there in doing transfers and budget.
  10. Other clubs have stopped their players from travelling to red listed countries. FIFA should have sorted this mess out with different countries covid problems during the summer. But yet again they sit on their hands and do feck all Haven't both already rejected us after holding talks with us? I don't see Waggott going anymore. Tho if what people have posted on here and him and Mowbray had big falling out last season and the lack of striker signing would have only added to the problem/tension.
  11. Nixon saying we had Maja at Brockhall on Bank Holiday night.
  12. I would say that Rovers management have to decide on Mowbray's future and what the future plan is going forward regarding transfers, contracts, youth development, etc in the coming weeks and months.
  13. i went down to Ewood Park yesterday to buy tickets for the Barnsley away game and some items from the club shop. Was surprised how quiet it was around Ewood Park. Surprised Rovers didn't try kid fun day on or player's shirt signing day. The club should be looking to get fans interested at any opportunity and get kids and parents involved.
  14. 666? what all that about?
  15. Simply not good enough. I would be putting McBride or Burns on the bench but Rovers SHOULD have signed a permanent striker in this window. No excuses
  16. Butty, I am saying what the club knows to done. We are deffo a striker shortly and I would be again targeting Rhys Healey as the striker I would want us to sign. Think he would score goals here and be 15-20 goals striker for us. Can't disagree about your last point Butty. I feel it was a massive opportunity missed. They tried for a different manager according to different sources Yes we should have signed a permanent striker this. Gallagher and Brereton didn;t play in 9 role so maybe now Mowbray has to they might score 15 goals this season
  17. No surprise by this story tbh. I think its clear that there is a power struggle going on at the club between Mowbray and Waggott. over transfers, budgets and etc. But they appearing to be blaming Mowbray for the lack of striker signing within the last 3 days of the transfer window, so what the hell went on and why didn't we sign a striker? Was it Mowbray or Waggott who stop it? why didn't we sign the striker who came in from France on the bank holiday Monday? what went on there? I think Mowbray won't be here come the end of the November international break if we aren't challenging for top 6. I just hope we have a good candidate to replace him. I know who I would put on my shortlist but does the club know. My Shortlist would be Callum Davidson, Gareth Ainsworth, Steve Cooper, Alex Neil and Neil Harris. I haven't Wilder on that list cos I don't think he would come. Not included Mark Hughes either cos he has been out of club football management for 3 years. I feel that we could attract a good manager who could get us challenging for top 6 with a couple of good quality signings. Mowbray has had enough backing now and he massively failed last season to get us close.
  18. I would say the promotions are well deserved. Sheron did excellent work with under 18's and the Youth FA Cup run in 19/20 was great to watch. Beating PNE 4-2 and beating Arsenal 4-1 was joy and delighted to be there watching. We are playing the best academics in the country and having successes. Kidd was part of those successes so it's promotion to 18's lead coach is the right one. Bringing through more players from academy is likely to be key part of Rovers future planning and transfer policy and it's vital we have the right coaches in place.
  19. Does anyone know the Club Shop opening times for tomorrow please? Thanks in advance
  20. 99 runs lead is a good lead in my opinion. Pope and Woakes played excellent and its good to see we didn't rely on Root this time. Is Buttler's test cricket career over maybe?
  21. and what happened if its was the contract negotiations were the problem was? We need to know were the problem was in secure the striker signing on permanent basis
  22. is this reply to me? Mowbray did say we have 5 or 6 different options but Mowbray doesn't do the transfer or player contract negotiations but its Waggott and Venus. Did a player not sign cos of talks with Mowbray or did Club call them off?
  23. possibly so. surely the only free agent position we should be looking at is a striker, Not much out there. Would we not be better using McBride or Burns or Vale as the 3rd/4th given that we haven't loan them out. Then in January look to secure a permanent striker signing within the first couple days of the window
