  1. Looks like the EFL embargo situation has stop Mowbray and Rovers from signing players that they would have liked given Rich Sharpe post match comments.
  2. I think we need a quality defensive midfielder in next to Travis if we are going to play 4-2-3-1 or 4-3-3 then that would allow Travis to play his natural game for me
  3. Tony Mowbray explains Adam Armstrong absence from Blackburn Rovers friendly | Lancashire Telegraph
  4. Speedie was just before my time. But Butterworth seems to be of number 10 type of player who has skill and some pace but we need him to stay injury free if possible
  5. I am very surprised that you can't answered the first question given that you are complaining that we haven't made any signings so far but most of signings clubs have made I wouldn't have wanted here. But here is 2 players I think we should have look at Sonny Bradley and Ryan Woods. We need a quality defensive centre midfielder in this summer aswell as centre defender, left back and wide player. Apart from that I am happy with what we have, and replacement for Armstrong if he goes this summer. Here are some suggestions, for the wide role I would look at Ben Osborn or Luke Freeman from Sheffield United. For the Left back role I can see us going for Charlie Ogilvie as we have been linked for him for the last 18 months. How we replace Armstrong strengths in terms of Pace, movement, his quality finishing is going to massive challenge for the club and I would expect we have already a shortlist ready to put in place when we accept a bid. Who we will target I don't know. We have been linked to Jerry Yates from Blackpool who impress me in the league 1 playoff final. I would expect some overseas options on that shortlist. I would look at Cauley Woodrow from Barnsley as previously discuss with you. Maybe look at a loan move for young PL striker or look at signing someone like Hugill on loan from Norwich for a season. So you agree with me that we shouldn't either of them new deal. Well at least we agree on something. Some of those players will be replace by players like Pike for example for the right back spot to challenge Nyambe. or Butterworth for the 10 spot if we play 4-2-3-1. We have got rid of alot of the deadwood finally and we don't need 10 centre midfielders this season.
  6. Well I hope not. Do feel he has something to the first team squad this season if he can stay fit
  7. Yes Crooke said before. Is Dolan carry a knock according to.reports? If we were keeping Armstrong away from any risk of jeopardising a transfer why has he spent the full week in the training camp?
  8. Both have trained this week in Stirling in the training camp. Armstrong is in the stands at Fylde stadium
  9. @roversfan99is there any players that have signed for other clubs that you want have like us to sign?. Weren't you in favour Rovers not offering new contracts to Bennett, Bell, Evans, Downing and Holtby? Who would you target to replace Armstrong if he was to leave?
  10. Aren't they blaming the pandemic for the delay?
  11. From Crooke Players in the stands Thomas Kaminski, Lewis Travis, Ryan Nyambe and Dan Butterworth all waiting in the stands here which indicates they're not participating. Same applies to Louie Annesley, Sam Durrant, Jalil Saadi and Jack Vale.
  12. We both said already so do we need to keep repeating it Don't need a right back when you got Pike here. Give his games and develop here. Attacking midfielder? Pickering has nearly 150 games, Brereton and Travis over 100 games each. Carter is 22 years in December so he is either going to be part of the squad or not. Wasn't Vale injured at Rochdale? Hope it's 3 subs per game allow from 7 subs.
  13. You are asking them to be part of the first team squad but I expecting JRC or Dolan to be regular in the starting 11 by end of the season. But nothing wrong giving Pike, Vale, Carter places in the squad and use them when need.
  14. As I said in the Fylde match day thread our Squad is hardly inexperience when you got players likes of Kaminski, Armstrong, Lenihan, Ayala and Johnson with plenty of appearances, then you have Travis, Nyambe, Pickering, Rothwell, Gallagher, Brereton have over 100 appearances at club football so hardly inexperienced are they? Scott Wharton has 90 appearances at club level. I see this has opportunity to bring through players like Carter, Pike, Vale, Mcbride, Butterworth into our 1st team match day squad. Yes we need some signings like centre defensive midfielder, centre back, back up left back, a left side winger and possibly Armstrong replacement. Where do you think we need strengthen this summer? And is there any players you think we missed out on trying to sign so far this summer? If so any names?
  15. I am happy to take a risk on a couple of our youngsters like Carter, Pike, McBride to be part of the 1st team squad I used to watch a lot of home 23's games before this pandemic hit the country. I will go back to watching them when allow to. The squad has plenty of experience with the likes of Kaminski, Armstrong, Lenihan, Ayala, Johnson. Even the likes of Travis, Nyambe, Pickering, Rothwell, Gallagher, Brereton have over 100 appearances at club football so hardly inexperienced are they? Scott Wharton has 90 appearances at club level.
  16. clearly you didn't my point of it being an example of starting 11 we could pick. What your point here please? cos it makes zero sense. Just for the record, Pickering has played 146 games Crewe. Hardly inexperience. and won't do unless you give them opportunity to be part of the first team squad this season. This is where your lack of knowledge of our under 23/18 teams comes in and the fact you don't watch them like some of us do. He signed a new long term contract here this June 2021 j Jake Garrett excited by Blackburn Rovers future after new deal | Lancashire Telegraph Well with the EFL imposing restrictions on clubs unless they could verified the accounts, also is the really a number of players you really this we have miss out on. If there is, please can you list them and the entire forum can see them? thankyou in advanced for doing this. Like I said before we only need 4 or 5 signings for me currently. But its depends on whether Armstrong is sold and who we target as his replacement. But this is something that should be discuss in the correct thread on the forum
  17. Why and how? Here is an examples First half team Kaminski Pike Ayala Carter Pickering Travis Johnson JRC Buckley Chapman Armstrong Second half team Pears Nyambe Lenihan Maglorie Cirino Dolan Davenport Garrant Rothwell McBride Gallagher Hardly 2 teams of kids is it?
  18. From the link below THE publication of Rovers accounts’ again underlines the club’s reliance on owners Venky’s but crucially also means the club are now free from a registration embargo imposed by the EFL. Rovers hit two key deadlines by submitting their profit and sustainability projections with the EFL by the end of March and filing their accounts by the end of June in order to be able to sign players. The EFL, as part of a new move to increase transparency, has published the names of those clubs that are operating under embargoes and it does not include Rovers, something confirmed to the Lancashire Telegraph by the club. https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/19430933.blackburns-situation-explained-efl-embargo-announcements/
