  1. We heard from the Peterborough Chairman about his attitude but you dispute it every time tho. But you have nothing to dispute apart from your dislike of Chairman being open and honest with his fans and public.
  2. We wouldnt sign players that we haven't done the proper scouting with. I'm sure Agents were offering us players all window but we don't sign players that way like the past. exactly. No point over paying for players.
  3. If the right players/targets aren't available then we take a risk on a player we haven't scouted properly. Well maybe it doesn't matter but keeping team morale high is a good thing. Look at what happened when we high earners not pulling their weight like Murphy, Best, Etuhu. Just imagine that we finish in playoffs cos we keep the team morale together and not over spend on targets we didn't want or too high price Very easy for a fans to say this. As Mowbray has said we wont sign players we haven't scouted properly. If those players we want aren't available or price too high then we are right to walk away. Funds aren't being withheld tho. Mowbray has a budget to work with.
  4. I'm sure the owners would give Mowbray extra money if Mowbray asked for it but he wont sign players who are too expensive or break our wage structure. Like I said I used has an example. Rovers have invested money into the European scouting network and bring in head of European scouting Bruno Riberio. Plus listening to what Mowbray has said over the past few weeks that where I expect signings to come from
  5. Surely that would depend on what we value the player at and the asking price. for example if we offer 500k for player who is out of contract in the summer but his club wanted 5 times that amount? surely the owners wouldn't agree to it. would you? why?
  6. I would say we need 2 keeper, back up right back, 2 centre back, 1 left back as I expect Bell will be given a extension, 1 winger and striker. Plus I would re-sign Downing on a year contract Mowbray is correct that they have to fit into the club ethos and signings have to be right. I suspect majority of signings this summer will be foreign ones.
  7. I enjoyed watching Brentford play. Also think their recruitment of players is excellent.
  8. Wouldn't Want Mulgrew in the starting 11 here. His time here is up. He need to move on in the summer
  9. but there is other posters who wanted him out when we were 17th in the league but now have change their mind but you don't single them out tho. after 16 games this season we were 18th in the league. Now after 33 games we are 8th in the league. In the last 17 games we have got 32 points and top of the form table with that selected games. Very similar to the time when people wanted Mowbray after 10 games in league 1 before we earned promotion that season.
  10. You are correct on the West Brom point so my apologises. Last 6 games form table has them 8th. Rovers are 1st btw. Bilic is an outstanding manager at this level. Done very well. Good squad there. our form table is https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/championship/formtabelle/wettbewerb/GB2?saison_id=2019&min=28&max=34
  11. I'm not interested whether we been in or not top 6 so far. As long as we by end of the Luton away game! Sheff Wed were top 6 not long ago. now nowhere near. Yes you are very correct that progress is being made through playing less direct and more short passing, movement and flexible. Some good youngsters coming through and the club is in better shape now. I've heard people within Ewood Park saying those things Mikey has reported. And Mikey must have seen them on different media sites. But you need to ask Mikey on twitter and let him share them with yourself Bravo Matty. are we 17th? nope. we are 8th and good chance of making the playoffs? Correct. Team going in the right direction
  12. sadly not Matty. would take alot more than those comments. Made of thick skin I've always appreciated the job he did in every season he been here. Back him after we got relegation which I blame Coyle for that. He got us promotion from League 1 even those some posters on here wanted rid of him after 10 games cos we weren't where people thought we should be. Back him last season when he got his contract extension when others didn't. Yes when we were 17th in league this season I felt a change was needed but he turn around results and has us 3 points of playoffs. We are 8th in the league now.
  13. It's a fair point JHRover. West Brom and Leeds in poor form, Bristol City not in good form. Brentford away is a very tough fixture but one where I feel we can win it
  14. Under 18's playing at Ewood Park tomorrow night against Preston under 18's
  15. You like digging don't you Matty recently. You like and other posters like posting this rubbish but I'm always explained why I changed my view. At least it gives you something to moan at certain posters at Mikey does have a point tbf. plenty on here disagree with Mowbray. You said we wouldn't stand any chance or challenge for playoffs without Dack whilst I disagree cos we could move Armstrong up front and use his pace and movement more centre plus his finishing attitude. Now we are 8th in the league.
  16. Different strikers score different types of goalss. Less offsides than Grabban and Watkins this season. His game is about pace and movement. We are moving away from being more direct style like with Graham/Dack partnership. Playing a more short passing, movement, quicker game style
  17. That's where the LT gets the story. Armstrong is having a good season. He's only 23 years old. Rovers need to offer him new 5 years contract.
  18. I will agree that Samuel will be like a new signing. He looks a different player now
  19. I agree he is the best finisher and I would play up front where he will score goals and can use his pace and movement to most effect The Article says PL clubs were interested in him in the January
  20. Premier League clubs looking at Armstrong https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/18239309.top-flight-clubs-taking-interest-rovers-attacker/?ref=nuo Time we gave him a new 5 years contract.
  21. Armstrong up front every time for me. Has pace, finishing ability and movement. Wrong comment imo.
  22. Armstrong for me. 10 goals and 7 assists. Link with Premier league teams now
