  1. Graham is 33 years old and does work his socks off majority of the time. But we shouldn't be relying on him now. Time to give Armstrong or Brereton up front role for some games. I prefer Armstrong wide but I think them 2 would be decent as a front 2. I didn't mind Armstrong upfront with Brereton drifting inside more. His best bits came from that inside position.
  2. The statistics that managers and coaching staff have access to. Most managers have them my team below. where is Graham? on page 1! we played Reading at Wednesday
  3. https://twitter.com/BBCLancsSport/status/1096464854540603392
  4. Boro twitter account tweeted that only 600 tickets were sold on Tuesday/Wednesday. down to number of factors, Tv Coverage, Game on a Sunday and Pulis style of football which some Boro fans don't like
  5. Danny Graham number statistically were down against Bristol City as Mowbray. Like I did say on Saturday he looked Knackered after 75/80 mins. It was clear as day to see.
  6. Transfer wise. Joe Rothwell.. Big Exclusive. Not for many years. Maybe when Souness told they he wouldnt be replacing Ince. National media were linking him and Sam Allardyce to replace Ince
  7. Mowbray on why Graham didnt start Dack was used from the bench, as was Danny Graham, who the manager opted to have as a substitute for the second of three games in a week. “Sunday is a big, big game for us, as all games are, and tonight it was in my mind to rest a 33-year-old Danny with us having three games this week," Mowbray added. “Statistically his numbers were down on Saturday and then to throw him in again and then expect him to go again on Sunday was going to be tough. “The logic was to give him a breather and to sit him on the bench in case we needed him. "
  8. clearly never read and listen to were Mowbray said Jack Rodwell would play when he signed here. Arrogant that. well they didn't. hindsight is such a wonderful thing isn't. Graham being 33 years old now was only going to struggling to play 3 games a week at some point. I see it has the perfect opportunity to play Brereton from the start. Sharpe knows alot IMO but didn't go public with it
  9. Exactly what I said Maybe read what I wrote instead of jumping the gun.
  10. hasn't Mowbray already told you why Rodwell is playing? blimey I cant believe we are still going over this again and again on the messageboard. FFS and yet again going over why Graham and Dack wasn't playing from start. haven't we been told why but yet don't accept them. Graham was shattered on Saturday. very clear to see this. Sharpe tweeted on Wednesday he was surprised Dack played on Saturday due to the injury sustained at Brentford. Mowbray sad after the game Dack only just made the bench on Wednesday. But why keep going the same issues when we have the answer on Rodwell playing centre back and us the fans have no different info on the reasons why Graham and Dack.
  11. I would let Luetwiler go in the summer. sell Williams. ] Yes we need a right back, centre back and left back. Would keep Bell. Use Grayson as 5th choice centre back next season
  12. not at all. But players make mistakes. Rodwell should have show him down the line, players will miss chances doesn't mean the team selection was wrong
  13. William should be sold this summer. I would keep Bell. He has performed much better than Williams. I expect Bauer to come in. Free transfer. squad player I don't see Dack leaving in the summer but if he did I think Mowbray would switch to playing 4-4-2 or 4-3-3. He mention something about going 4-4-2 last Saturday in the LT. unsure on Reed and I think Rodwell will re sign here for me in the summer we need:- 1 keeper to challenge Raya 1 right back 1 left back 1 centre back which I think would be Bauer on a free 1 centre midfielder. We will have Travis, Evans, Davenport, Smallwood. I would like Reed permanent 1 wide player 1 striker to compete with Brereton, Armstrong(who will play wide and up front roles depending on formation) and Graham
  14. I agree the high press up worked. No it is the last resort at all. What does it matter what team I picked. I'm not the manager and don't have the info. The team selection or the tactics wasn't at fault or the problem for the defeat. it was poor finishing especially in the 1st half were we should have scored at least 2 or 3 up[. and 2 poor defending again. a manager who has never manage at this level. Do you think he would drop down to this level? I doubt it. I think he could end of at foreign club in the summer. Think its time he went back to the old style Mark Hughes Firstly my apologise for that. my stance I wasn't bothered about a league 1 title but just to get out of the league asap and not become another Leeds or Sheffield United at that level. and before that we won 4 in row and a manager of the month and player of the month. yes our form hasn't been consist enough as we would have like but I always though we wouldn't a top 6 side and predict 14th place finish
  15. Found this on twitter. Thought I would share it. ? "I love footballers who are humble, work hard, love the game, focus on what their job is and let everyone else talk about them. Just good human beings are the best footballers for me." ?️ @Rovers boss Tony Mowbray on the type of player he loves to manage... https://www.sportinglife.com/football/news/mowbray-on-management/158476?aff=1197317997&dcmp=SL_TWITTER_TONYMOWBRAY1302
  16. Thats was earlier in the season. Mowbray has no reason to lie. We dont know if Graham and Dack being on the pitch would have made any different.. "You can spout all the superfan rose-tinted shite you want. " Cos I different opinion to most people on here. Thought that was part of brfcs, different opinions
  17. Why bad enough? You stick to being a negative poster and your posts.. I bet you were one of these poster who want him out last season even tho he achieve the target
  18. Down to opinion Mercer. I would have given Mowbray a 5 years contract after we got promotion. I'm happy to back his plans for the club short and long term Williams is awful. Hopefully he will be gone in the summer. Players had the chances to win the game in the 1st 40 mins of the game. take your chances you win the game. I picked my team before the game but I don't have a clue about the fitness of the squad. But I based my opinion the team picked and how we played. Ive posted about the defensive problem with the second goal.
  19. Stuart, there is no guarantees in life. Give the new scouting system time to work. I don't think Dack will leave in the summer. Rodwell is playing and seem to happy being here. Lets judge next season when we see the signings we make the summer. I'm not sure Fulham and Huddersfield will be challenging. For me, Depends on who Fulham manager will be and their recruitment/sale of players. Huddersfield summer signings will be interesting. Who the other team will be? I don't know. Hasn't Mowbray already set targets for the next couple of seasons? challenging promotion?
  20. No, but Mowbray;s success and The family seem more engaged with the club then most of their reign. The owners seem happy to spend money and invest money into the playing squad which never happened under Coyle and towards the end of Bowyer reign here. Hurst did a brilliant job at Shrewsbury but he upset everyone at Ipswich including backroom staff and players with his attitude. I have seem some comments that are knee jerk reactions on social media but some people have want Mowbray out since last season Back to their level and was bound to happen when they lost so many key players like Henderson, Nsiala, Nolan, Morris and Payne Football has changed alot in 11 years
  21. 4 good chances. 2 for Armstrong, 1 for Bell and 1 for Conway. Bizarre team selection? Why cos Graham and Dack wasnt fit to start. Graham struggling to play 3 games a week and Dack hasnt trained for a few days before game. Do you have no info to say otherwise? Ive already discuss the defensive problem. Didnt I say Oliveria should have been show down the line by Rodwell not inside? Or did you miss it again?
  22. Brereton drifted inside alot like I keep saying. Did he not? I selected my team but I dont know was fit before the game as Im not on coaching staff am I? If Rovers put the 1st half chances its a different game but you would still try and insist on finding a negative thing to moan again. Of course I dont want Mowbray sack. I would have given him a longer contract and IMO best manager since Mark Hughes time at the club.
  23. Exactly point. Could go the other way and we get a new manager, owners stop backing the club and we end with another Coyle type manager. I agree we should let Mowbray get on with his plans for the club.. Try the negative/knee jerked reactions stop. Same as last season when some on here thought Hurst was so brillant. Now look what happened to him.
