  1. Bolton away? This season. 1 nil Win. Dack
  2. I didn't know about the interview so thanks for sharing. Yes Ipswich do need some surgery. I would say about 10 new signings including a complete new defence. I would be building my team around Bishop and Lankester
  3. I think Lambert is a competent man and the right manager to do the rebuilding job there. You don't. Coyle/Mowbray and Hurst/Lambert situations is different IMO. Firstly we didn't have a poor squad but a very poor manager in Coyle. Secondly, Hurst behind the scenes upset the players and other staff at the club. Hurst's attitude towards the players was like he was big shot without having nothing to back it up with. Lambert can point to success in his career and earn the players respect. Hurst cant. Whilst Mowbray can point to his success in his career and the why he talk and treat the players. You made very good points there. I would say Swansea went downhill quickly and after appointing too many managers within in a short space of time. now they appointed Potter and he doing a good job there despite having players sold above him exactly my point. it was never going to work with Hurst. Ipswich owner Marcus Evans seems more involved than Ive previous heard he is.
  4. Isnt Sears out of contract in the summer at Ipswich?
  5. RIP Mr Banks. That save will never been forgotten.
  6. plenty of loans? he bought in 4 loans. Graham who signed permanently in the summer, Gomez who did very well, Grimes who was poor and Tony Watt who was signed a loan with a view to permanent deal in that summer. Plus we signed 3 permanent signings in Bennett, Ward and Jackson. Hardly plenty of loan is it?
  7. It turns out the same over the same game period. You cant just keep changing managers every 6 months. Look at Stoke as example of going nowhere of note despite spending over 50 millions pounds on new players. Or you appoint someone who you trust and believe him and allow that to make the changes needed in short, medium and long term to the club. Similar to what Norwich did with Farke. But you have always answered your point earlier in your post. The squad isn't good and that will only improve in the summer. Hurst spent the money in the summer on poor quality and signed to many lower league players. Ipswich fans are happy with him for various reasons but you haven't even look in to. why? cos you aren't interested in fans views of their own fans. You are only interested in fans views when they were unhappy with McCarthy. very much double standards. Like I have said I think going down might help Ipswich as they can clear of deadwood out then rebuild a new squad. Like we did
  8. thanks for sharing Swanson. it appears we now have scouts overseas
  9. Ipswich squad isn't good enough and that started poor summer recruitment and Hurst wasted 5 millions on league 1/2 players. He can only sign players he can due to budget and players wanting to come. Maybe they could have got better players but overpaid wages and transfer fees wise but I guess they didn't want to. You don't care for Ipswich fans opinions because you cant stand them cos they back Lambert. Move on from the Mick McCarthy love in. you are obsess with him. Lambert needs to build his own squad and you will see next season. I think Ipswich going down might be a good thing and they can clear the deadwood and start again with a new improving younger team. similar to us. Hurst's dismissal was down to more than results. But things going on at training ground, behind the scenes. @DE. has posted these at the time. No-one has improved Stoke and now onto their 3rd manager in 12 months since sacking Hughes and gone. Yes they 3rd manager. Stoke players weren't good enough and still aren't. He had the same point per game over the same games period. But their squad isn't good enough and this started in the summer under Hurst. Lambert changed formation on Sunday and played Judge in the 10 role. I guess Lambert was restricted by the signings he could make in January due to league position Their general play is better than before, but defensive mistakes keep happening even from their most experience players. Judge played the 10 role on Sunday. I would say that Jackson and Harrison aren't Championship standard and I don't see Lambert wanting to keep them next season. Quaner is a target man and Lambert like to play with that type of player. Ipswich don't appear to have a natural right back at the club so I can understand the Bree signing
  10. so its not the same group of players is it? Majority of Hurst's signings aren't playing or good enough. Why don't you take the time to speak to Ipswich fans and get their views on Lambert and why so many are behind? But you refuse to do so? wonder why cos you wont like the answers. lorry load of loans and players on short term contracts? he signed 7 players, 3 permanent signings and 4 loans. hardly a lorry load is it. Wasn't Elder signed on loan cos Knuzden was set to leave but his move never happened. Will Keane is better than what Hurst signed forward wise. Collins is an experience player, Judge is on short term contract but if he does well there he signed a longer deal. like a trial to a longer deal. sensible especially with his injury record. who proven in league 1? 1 season of doing well isn't proven IMO. Looking at their squad for next season https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/ipswich-town/kadernaechstesaison/verein/677 I would be selling Jackson, Huws, Rowe, Roberts, Skuse and Harrison. Then signed between 10 to 12 new players including a complete new back 4 and 3 strikers. Lambert and their owner both said Lambert is there for long haul. wont get a better job IMO at the stage of his career
  11. I dont think Ipswich need another manager change. Everyone thought Hurst would be good appointment and look at how that turn out. Lambert knows what he need for next season in terms of player recruitment. I think he will about 10 signings. After he left Stoke people thought Rowett would be better and didnt despite spending over 30/40 mil.
  12. Lambert has said he will stay at the club and Evans said on 17th/18th January that Lambert and his staff will stay for next season despite whatever happens over the rest of the summer. Lambert wants to restructure the club playing staff. it will be major rebuilding job player staff wise. I suspect it will be major rebuilding job. also recently Ipswich owner Marcus Evans has taken on a more of hands on role https://www.twtd.co.uk/ipswich-town-news/35297/town-confirm-lambert-and-staff-will-stay-even-if-blues-go-down Yes fans are behind him massively. no they haven't falling for his sound bites and gimmicks but they seen a manager who has a similar views to them. Hurst wasted 5 mil pounds on league 1 players. who weren't good enough for Championship quality football
  13. So you havent why he did it? Did they score from open play? No they scored from a corner. Cos Raya didnt come for the ball, Nyambe did a poor job of marking him. Thats why. Nothing tactically cost us.
  14. I still dont Dack will go in summer anyway. I was there. Thanks. Look into Mowbray reasons for doing that change. I told you several times what changes Ive would have done.
  15. Did I ever say drop Dack? Please show me where I said this. Look at Millwall away when Mowbray took Dack off and we won 2 nil.
  16. yes we do get all of them. Plus discount on merchandise through the Club cash scheme which Stuart wanted to scrap. the prices are very reasonable IMO. Floating fans have to show some sort of commitment to club and players.
  17. I agree. Chapman isn't fit and he has even said himself about his fitness that he didn't want to be rush and get him fit properly. Butterworth is a player I like but he shouldn't be starting ahead of Brereton. don't agree with dropping Dack unless Mowbray decide to go up front with 2 strikers like Brereton and Armstrong or Graham and Armstrong or Brereton and Graham
  18. Thanks for answering the question. Chapman isn't fit. I think we might 4-4-2 if we lost Dack in summer next season. I thought Brereton did fine at Brentford when he came on and more than Nuttall. putting 2 more players out of position? moving Armstrong from leff wing to right wing, a position he has played alot here. Bennett has played behind the striker a number of times and was excellent there against Brentford at home. or have you forgot that?
  19. I never said anything about through Venkys terrible ownership did I? it has nothing to do when them. But people who have been season ticket holders year after year should be reward for standing by the club through the good and bad times. Yet again Stuart, I have suggested few ideas in the past. A weekend game season ticket for people who cannot make mid week games for various reasons. Kids season tickets for 1 pounds and 10 game season ticket.
  20. Still stirring that pot again Stuart Me and roversfan99 are discussing and commenting. Thats it.
  21. Reward people loyalty who has backed the club and support the club year after year through season tickets, tickets sales, merchandise, etc
  22. You are obsess with keeping players on the pitch who arent performing well enough. Why dont we not bother naming any subs as they will NEVER COME ON. Well.unless you give them a chance and proper time on the pitch we never know
  23. Season ticketsl holders should get the best benefits.. Ive suggested a few ideas. Have you not seen them?
  24. I would have sub both. Graham was shattered after 70 mins.
