  1. Wouldn’t it be revolutionary if the players came out smelling blood and won 4-0. Then all pull up their shirts at the end and underneath it says “This was for the fans. “ Own it lads. You are the badge on the park.
  2. Waggott was due to sign JDT exit terms but pushed shred instead?
  3. I wonder wherher the disharmony is a result of our current league position. The beautiful football may have lost its allure upstairs as we wander into relegation land. The infusion of a couple of experienced hard bastards will hopefully shore up the defence. It certainly won’t lend itself to playing out from the back. Maybe an end to the Scandinavian imports and back to a more direct approach? It works for some of the Premier top teams.
  4. I agree with your agreement😀 At one stage I really thought that it would be Adam out and Big Mc in. I really didn’t think we would get the American lad. Why I am excited about having McGuire in is that I live in the States. The number of fans who will start following Blackburn and researching our heritage will be great. When I wear my Rovers shirt around people will recognize it. The standard is nowhere near Championship level. I watch Philadelphia Union, but there are some very good players knocking around. I think we have recruited players oven ready for the championship. We need that. We also kept Gallagher and he will want to prove himself to us or anyone else watching.
  5. Apparently Orlando have announced his loan to us. Hope it is not a Mickey Mouse announcement https://www.mlssoccer.com/news/orlando-city-transfer-duncan-mcguire-to-blackburn-rovers 🐭
  6. Nah. we have until 11.04 Thursday for the Bush Telegraph to let us down again.
  7. Fat chance of that happening 😳
  8. Good luck for the rest of your season. Love your story and delighted Wrexham is on the up and up again. Good for football and good for your community. We remember the joy of a visionary owner with money. Enloy every minute of it.
  9. Funny old game and Important win for us Wrexham’s second attempt goes in and we are in danger of becoming cup history and JDT under real pressure. It all turned out rather nicely Important few days I think Adam is gone but anyone thinking of joining us would relish a home tie in the so called “Shearer derby.” I worry that our intrepid recruitment team given sudden riches will bottle it at the death. They are just not used to this level of wheeling and dealing, not to mention having to do it before the owners bed time.
  10. And some folks thought he was crap at one stage and he was about to be shipped out on loan.
  11. i saw him a few times totally unmarked and nobody passed to him. I agree with those who feel he is a better #10
  12. Goodbye Ipswich interest in Gallagher. Same old model. Ask too much. https://www.itfc.co.uk/news/2024/january/29/town-sign-striker-al-hamadi-from-AFC-Wimbledon/
  13. Excellent summary. From one old codger to another.
  14. Never a truer word. Wrexham fans are hard core dedicated and the reality TV world will be praying for a Wrexham upset. Not a night for pretty football as Ipswich found out. Maidstone had two chances and two goals. Even Liverpool and Man City were hoofing the ball over the defence last night.
  15. I daren’t disagree in case i get a bulging inbox to coin a phrase. 😳
  16. At this stage I would take ex San Quentin.
  17. kind of on topic. Harvey Elliott blossomed with us. He is a joy to watch. Especially tonight. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-13002533/Ratings-Luis-Diaz-Liverpool-Harvey-Elliott-Fulham.html
  18. Blimey Scenario 1 could be on the money 15 million quid. Thank you very much. My concern is giving a percentage of that money to the egg. Too much for a novice to play with. Love Wharton but a luxury in our current predicament. We need at least one striker and a midfielder to replace Wharton. some of the 15 million will help.
  19. Look no further than Paul Mullin who I fear will have a field day against us in the cup.
  20. So i guess we have three scenarios 1 Holy Crap scenario. Sell Wharton to Spurs or Palace for 15 million and actually get the money in time and get a decent amount to spend. Likelihood 10% 2 Now what do we do scenario. sell our experienced striker to Birmingham for 2 million and dither about which donkey we can persuade to join us Likelihood 30% 3 Oh Well part 3 scenario. Nobody gets sold and we wait in hope until transfer forum page 666 on deadline minute plus five to pray the fax works to sign a rookie striker with plenty of promise from a Division 2 side. Likelihood 60%
  21. I would add Walker Family Trust to that Rogue’s gallery.
  22. So he got his big money move to show off his inate talent then 🤔
  23. “Since the start of December Rovers have lost more games(seven),won fewer points(four),and conceded more goals(twenty-four) than any other Championship side.” Time to change the trajectory. Put Pears back in between the sticks to give the defence confidence, and slot the Villa lad in. It took JDT too long to blood Hill. If he persists with Leo then he will be no better than Mowbray in terms of stubbornness.
  24. Shame to lose the lad. Clearly enjoyed his stay. He was a valuable member of the squad. And clearly a good human being. https://www.rovers.co.uk/news/2024/january/11/-it-s-been-an-honour-to-put-the-shirt-on-and-wear-the-colours-/
  25. If you are good enough you are old enough. We just have a few who aren’t good enough. Whatever the age.
