  1. Preston have lost Cunningham and still haven’t really replaced Huggil. I think they’ll struggle this year. I’d be furious if I supported that lot- all that money from West Ham and they’re still signing people for next to nothing.
  2. Even if they did have money, the financial rules governing the league currently would stop us from buying every Tom, Dick and Harry. I’m disappointed with how the current summer transfer situation is, but I still think we’ll bring someone in before next weekend, maybe more. Even if we don’t, I still think there’s 3 worse teams in this league than us. Bolton, Rotherham, QPR, Birmingham, Reading, Hull and Ipswich all come to mind when I think of crap squads. There’s plenty of other teams without world beaters too, like Swansea and Preston. To cheer you all up, have a look at some of the other club’s signings. I reckon Sheffield Wednesday, Swansea, Preston, Ipswich and QPR have all had transfer period worse than us.... https://www.transfermarkt.com/championship/transfers/wettbewerb/GB2
  3. I find this incredibly hard to believe, especially with his comment about agents running the market, not too long ago. Not only that, he talked about having a substantial budget to compete at the start of summer. Surely if you were in his position, you’d take the money and play the market cautiously, and if there was any money left, you’d hand it back to the owners? If those comments are true, Mowbray- after years of management failure- is playing with his own future. On the the flip side of the coin, we might finally see some of the youth players getting a game. After all, we can’t keep doing a Chelsea. It makes absolutely no financial sense.
  4. You’ve got to remember that the prices clubs are paying are normal though. A couple of million for a second tier player is the going rate these days. A couple of hundred thousand- which is what we’re trying to get players at- is laughable. Isn’t a it frustrating that Venky’s most successful appointment is getting the least amount of transfer funding, out of all the absolute dross they’ve put in charge? It makes me wonder how much Venky’s promised when they went over there? I do wonder though if Venky’s have put the cash up, but Waggot’s refusing to sign them due to the wages, because of fears of financial fair play breathing down the club’s neck again.
  5. Gibson won’t have step foot inside Ewood with his drink-drive history. Mowbray wouldn’t touch him, whereas Paul Cook... It appears hasbeens are now the way forward, for clubs that have no money. I think I’d stick with the two young lads we’ve got, than signing what Wigan and Bolton are looking at!
  6. I know this sounds daft, but do we really need a load of money going out on executives, each month, when we’re struggling to attract players because of financial matters?
  7. Yep- I was one of them in there, collecting tickets bought as a gift. I reckon the queue for walk ins was around the same as it always is.
  8. http://the72.co.uk/110860/blackburn-rovers-want-sign-another-defender-three-potential-deals/ Liam Lindsay, Matt Clarke and Patrick Bauer all mentioned.

  10. It makes you wonder why the FA haven’t changed the laws around youth players, with how poorly they manage their youth set up. However, I’m starting to wonder why we bother with ours, after the announcement to move Scott Wharton out again.
  11. https://www.bristolpost.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/darrell-clarke-unwilling-comment-ipswich-1811360 Ellis Harrison anybody?
  12. https://www.bristolpost.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/darrell-clarke-unwilling-comment-ipswich-1811360 Ellis Harrison- the forward who we’ve been linked with- didn’t play for Bristol Rovers in their friendly today. Their manager was unwilling to talk about the striker’s future too.

  14. http://www.hitc.com/en-gb/2018/07/06/por-dack-agrees-new-rovers-deal/ Not exactly transfer news, but something every will be happy with!
  15. Tomlinson isn’t up to it I don’t think. He’s looked weighty and slow when I’ve seen him. Travis, on the other hand, could be something, from the games I’ve seen.
  16. When you consider how average Evans was last time we played in the second tier, alongside the fact that Whittingham was pretty poor, it’s probably not a bad signing. He impressed at Burton Albion too.
  17. http://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/16318573.Bids_lodged_as_Rovers__edge_closer__to_more_summer_additions/?ref=mac Mowbray hopeful of another 5 coming in. No names are mentioned though.
  18. They’re in massive trouble if they don’t go up this time. They’re already in financial trouble for failing to go up this season, according to Boro fans.
  19. We’re going to win the World Cup. End of story. Goodnight everyone. Hello hangover tomorrow.
  20. How many full, 90 minute games did you even seen him play, last season?
  21. Until Gaz stuck 11 men behind the ball, against the mighty..... Yeovil, and we drew 0-0 . ??
  22. Does anyone know someone who’s going? I’d like someone to raise it if possible. 4 people have liked my post too, meaning I can’t be the only one who thinks something needs doing.
  23. I can’t open it. It’s saying something about it being removed. For anyone who can read it- has stadium maintainance been placed on the agenda ?
  24. The ever reliable Brazil have now blown their first game- must have something to do with me having them in work’s sweepstake ?. I sense this World Cup is going to be wide open come the knock outs.
