You need more than that to win promotion though. -
Championship season 2019-20

Is anyone else watching the Bristol City and Sheff Weds game? Both are absolutely awful-lots of sideways and backwards passing from Sheff Weds, while Bristol City have been happy to sit in their own half. -
Worst Rovers Team of Decade

Kalinic rings a bell when you say that... he wasn’t exactly special here. Then again, I don’t think Allardyce‘s tactics helped him! -

I don’t think Steele was anywhere near like our current number 2. That Canadian bloke is utterly useless from the few games I’ve seen him play in. -

Excellent point that, considering what it sounded like on Radio Lancs. Last season we’d have lost that. Onto Saturday we go- up the blues! -

Sounds like we’re heading for a loss here. Radio Lancs make it sound like they’re all over us. -

Is anyone else sat watching the Preston game thinking how poor they are? Even when they had a man more, they looked bang average. -

Swansea are getting hammered 5-1 at West Brom. They had a decent first half did Swansea, but they’ve been put to the sword in this second half. -
Club merchandise

26 year old here- it’s utter crap, and it’s overpriced. I wouldn’t be seen dead in any of the 1875 rubbish they’ve produced. It’s almost like they’ve gone to Sports Direct’s bargain bin, bought what’s there, and put a club badge on. I’ll be blunt though- the club’s shop range is incredibly limited. For all this experience that Waggott has of football, everything from the match day food to the shop, is nothing short of bang average. -

Current Goalkeeping coach
scotchrover replied to den9112's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Speaking as someone who played as a keeper- and actually had a trial at Ewood, as well as playing at town level- I absolutely think that there’s an issue with the keeping coach- he’s never even played the game professionally. Both Raya (when he was here) and Walton have made some absolutely criminal decisions, when they’ve been our number 1. Raya was also absolutely appalling at kicking, and Walton struggles with crossing/ catching. Neither improved under our keeping coach, and both developed trademark mistakes. With a proper keeping coach, Raya would have been the finished product (just like he looked on Saturday), rather than Mr. Inconsistent. Walton doesn’t seem to be improving either. We need an ex-professional. Is someone like John Filan or Alan Kelly not available to come in? -
No chance- he was driving his wife mad at home. She couldn’t stand him being at home all day. I think the big put off will be moving away from Cornwall.
-
He also won them promotion...
-
I think Hughton would come if we offered a big money contract. I say pay him with the Raya money, over 2 years, and offer him a promotion bonus with the top flight TV money, incoming from Sky.

Cringiest moments in Rovers history?
scotchrover replied to Amo's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
This mirrors what’s happening with Harry Chapman now. Why is he in the under 23 set-up? -
The Evans point is bang on. The bloke shouldn’t be even in the bench. I think it’s a tad unfair on Gallagher calling him garbage though. Mowbray’s daft formation really doesn’t help matters, especially when he gets put on the wing. I’d like to see him and Danny Graham in a 442, upfront.
-
We need a change but he isn’t the answer. We need someone with a track record of success in the Championship. He hasn’t even finished a season in the top half of League 1, let alone the Championship. I still have nightmares about the Ince appointment. Chris Hughton’s the man for me.

Cringiest moments in Rovers history?
scotchrover replied to Amo's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Some on here will disagree with this, but the booing of Mahoney every time he returns to Ewood, really grinds my gears and makes me cringe. The lad got offered the chance to play at a top flight club or start the season in League 1, with us. Like he was ever going stay with us. It might not have worked out at Bournemouth, but with the way Mowbray constantly changes our changes our team, it probably wouldn’t have worked out here. -
I’ve backed him until yesterday, but that starting line-up yesterday was a disaster. I don’t understand the mentality to keep mixing the starting 11 up. How hard is it to really play your strongest team? Then you’ve got the bizarre, over-complicated formation, which often leaves the striker isolated. What’s wrong with 4-4-2? Finally, where on earth to start with the Bennett inclusion? That lad continues to make mistakes because he’s too slow to keep pace with the championship now. Chris Hughton’s the only one out of those I’d have. The rest are either has beens (Hughes included) or inexperienced of success at this level. Pulis would be my second choice.

Raya made daft mistakes all the time. Walton now seems to be doing the same. We need an experienced keeping coach.
-
We need a proper goalkeeping coach.
-
That and putting away fans upstairs has killed the atmosphere off at Ewood. Away fans can’t hear us, we can’t hear them.
-
It was there again last night and it was bloody awful. When’s the next fans’ forum? The club need telling.
-
It has returned without any consultation that I know of- why? I think it impacts on the atmosphere too, just like putting the away fans upstairs!
