It’s on our list for next year…we needed to have designed & ordered by September for this year. I have a design in mind…more of a sweatshirt than a sweater but it will hopefully work. We have a Christmas tee shirt design coming next week 😉

It didn’t come across as Jakob was hiding the name, more that he misremembered it. Gary has been mentioned many times on this Forum for his role with adidas & the whole Spezial thing…not a major point in the scheme of things. 👍

We’ve avoided anything with a badge that is trademarked…club has copyright protection agents prowling eBay, Etsy, Facebook etc. The Maltese cross is interesting as it’s quite difficult to say it’s identified with Rovers given its origins.

We’re at the point now where they may well want to sell, but if they do, they have to crystallise the loss in the parent company accounts which in turn may well create negative reaction. By keeping it ticking over with minimal investment it buys them some respite & allows the accountants to pretend that there still is some inherent value in Rovers.

When you create a design you can ask them to save it…I suggested “4000 Holes” 😉

All teams sang YNWA in the 70’s…alongside “We hate Nottingham Forest…we hate Liverpool too…we hate Man Utd but X we love you…” Forest fans substituted Tottenham Hotspur, Liverpool/Everton & Man U/Man City. YNWA seen was a generic song for many years…albeit popularised by Liverpool.

I genuinely think we should let this go for the sake of our collective mental health 😆 The shirts will be sold by Rovers at some point irrespective of what we think. As stated multiple times there are minutes backing it up…but obviously no photos. We have looked at perhaps doing our interpretation of the shirt as a casual wear item (& for a fraction of the price) but sourcing something of requisite quality is challenging. I need 45 more people to pledge to buy a “Bob Crompton” shirt & I’ll investigate that as our next retro 😉

I’d argue that they got the kits so very right last season they were massively popular across all demographics. This season they’ve made a dog’s breakfast of what should have been a home run with the home shirt, the gold one is Marmitey, the green one could have been a classic with the town badge on & all three should have had the gold detail that they are now applying to the shirts having realised the error of their ways. Had they listened to the kit consultation group & launched even half of our suggestions I absolutely believe that the club would have had record sales this season…not just in shirts but in other items too. They are totally tin-eared.

You’re giving them far too much credit. It’s simply that Suhail is concerned that with 2000 unsold shirts on his hands, launching another new one will cannibalise those sales in the run up to Christmas. Someone therefore believes the fanbase can be fleeced more effectively by launching the anniversary shirt later; perhaps even after Christmas (?) at £90 a pop. Anyone wanting a chuckle…imagine if Liverpool released their 1st ever shirt as their anniversary kit. Well worth a Google that 😉
