I’ve said before that he needed a new coach maybe. I was potentially being harsh on benson as I know nothing about him but he wasn’t improving, his instincts remained superb but the finer arts of the goalkeeping craft weren’t there.

Talking of postcodes and support I’d be interested to see how Rishton has changed since the 90’s. When I was growing up it was heavily Rovers but it seems an almost 50/50 split now with increasing numbers of Burnley fans! A few have probably drifted to Stanley as well

What’s interesting is that if you went on a Boro forum a lot of the discussion will be the same. Two teams desperate to end a bad start and get on the board. Get an early goal and I think it will be comfortable (at least until we make it nervy in the last 10) however a nervy start could see a bore draw play out

I’ve written Mowbray off before and immediately looked daft on the back of it. However something seems amiss at the moment, feels there’s a bit of a rot set in, the window clearly didn’t go as planned and you could see the crowd turning if we have a bad run. Against Charlton around me there was a lot of comments about him losing the plot with his subs etc
