On the official site Mowbray says Nuttall will be competing with Graham for the spot up front which indicates he may not go on loan and that maybe Brereton is won’t be considered centrally. It makes you wonder if we can bring in a proper winger if it’s worthwhile sending Brereton to league one to get some games

I’m not sure myself, if Rodwell is at his best he’d be our first choice central midfielder for me I’d have him and or Reed in there with Travis myself certainly before Evans and Smallwood. Theres a reluctance to admit he’s a midfielder but we are treating a 27 year old ex England player like a 34 year old being moved further back because his legs have totally gone. Maybe there’s just more evidence of this in training

If I was Rodwell I wouldn’t be too keen to stay after this season based on that. When everyone is fit he ‘may’ play occasionally when we have 3 games a week, clearly here just as backup and can’t see him wanting to do that for long

I like the little video package the club put on their twitter about the replay tonight, I had decided to go to this one but can’t sort childcare so my dads going alone. Really well done to the club though for the ticket prices I think it will have a really positive effect even if not nearly full

I’m enjoying watching him here but I think he may move on, he’ll likely have done enough to have established himself again after Sunderland and could end up with options and if he isn’t playing regularly here may decide to move on. Personally if Reed was to go back I’d be looking for him and Travis to build an understanding in the middle.

Ah there is another article with him discussing his goal saying how it hit him in the face and was lucky. For me though being ‘lucky’ is part of being a good goal scorer, Rhodes had a couple earlier this year that pretty much hit him when he was on the floor, poachers have a knack for it.

Sad to see the match report on the official site says the first was an own goal, no mention of Nuttall at all, everywhere else seems to reporting it as Nuttalls goal Hope he gets it!

Really pleased for Nuttall tonight, thought he did well with what he had to work with today, yes the goal came with a slice of luck but he was playing out wide at that point and had the nouse to get in the right place. Must be a great feeling to get your first championship goal after a few years of a career heading the wrong way. He’s never going to be a world beater but think when he learns to use his assets he’ll be an effective no nonsense striker to have on the bench
