  1. Getting pasted here. Men against boys. At least Mowbray is showing the raw passion on the sidelines....
  2. That's arguably 5 goals Walton has been to blame for since the season restarted.
  3. Didn't realise we're one win in seven? Another one of Mowbray's woeful runs. Edit - Ffs Gallagher. Shocking, no excuse there. Terrible player.
  4. Still one of my favourite games that. The other thing to note is the quality in that division that season. Off the top of my head I can name, McAllister, Newell, Pallister, Earl Barrett, Stuart McCall, David Platt, Alan McInally, Teddy Sheringham, Tony Cascarino, John Sheridan, Denis Irwin all who were playing in that league that season. The quality level is incomparable to now yet we've been conditioned into thinking we're punching above our weight. It certainly didn't stop us back then when we didn't have a pot to piss in.
  5. Yep, fuck him, same with Moyes and the rest of the shithouses who crawled out of the woodwork. What happened in that darkest of dark times should NEVER be forgotten.
  6. There's some right bellends on there. Sum total of their argument is to ridicule anyone who dare question Mowbray, repeat the dumbing down of us as a club and then ask for alternatives - which then also get ridiculed.
  7. That, for me, is the most damning aspect of Mowbray's tenure. You can't label us with any style of play we can hang our hats on. Apart from shite of course.
  8. Problem is that, rather than it being a stick to beat him with, the 12 million wasted on 2 appalling 'strikers' has actually made his position stronger as they've took us to FFP limits. Meaning the job is a fire fighting one with no funds for any prospective candidates, therefore no credible alternatives, better the devil you know etc and down and down we go. And the fucker has his own flag....
  9. The bloke is bomb proof and he will take us down next season.
  10. This boy Samuel is stealing a living. What a bad un.
  11. To play Bennett after his utterly abysmal showing on Saturday cannot be defended. And I'd have played a youngster rather than Walton - a good, strong manager would've sent out a message tonight - safe to say we haven't got one.
  12. Without a doubt. Amassed more points than any other team since January, Rooney getting fitter and more influential by the game and the boy Sibley an absolute monster talent. They're going to take some stopping from here on in.
  13. By what logic were we going to concede anyway? The only reason we conceded and lost the game is down to a huge error from Walton. That's it. We weren't under huge pressure, they weren't camped in our half, they weren't raining shots in - it was pestering out to a dull 0-0 until Walton decided otherwise.
  14. If Mowbray wants to send out a message he has to drop Walton, Bennett and Gallagher for the next game. I don't care if Leutwiler and the rest of the replacements are just as shite, you cannot play as those 3 did yesterday and get picked regardless.
  15. You can't really get away from laying that at Walton's door. He drops an absolute nothing ball gifting them the opener and that is that. I can't imagine how the rest of the players feel to see a game literally given away when being on top for the majority of it. If Roy Keane would be swinging punches at De Gea he'd have been on a murder charge with Walton.
  16. Keeper is fucking shite, he really is.
  17. Can only add to the general opinion on Gallagher and Bennett. Both considerable weak links. On the plus side we look good playing quick positive passes to feet through midfield with Brereton showing more than I ever thought he would. We need Holtby on the ball more in the last third to make something happen though as for all our possession we've never looked like scoring.
  18. There certainly was, I remember seeing a copper getting a bit of a hiding for being a bit heavy handed with Rovers fans. What a following that day and what a season it was.
  19. Best wishes mate
  20. Remember in that 95/96 season the rumour was that Shearer preferred playing up front with Newell (they were good mates and neighbours off the field too) and consequently Sutton was dropped to centre half (that he hated). Results that season suffered and I recall Newell getting a bit of stick in a couple of games and reacting. Seem to remember his body language was pretty poor throughout that season and he left us soon after so I can see where Le Saux is coming from. Prior to that he was superb for us and , for me, was the main reason we went up in 1992. I also remember him being sent off playing against us for Leicester at Ewood in 1988 in a 3-3 thriller, it's still one of my favourite matches.
  21. The worst was undoubtedly that Uhlsport number worn with absolutely no distinction by Ashley 'bloody' Ward. Best is a toss up between Asics title shirt and Kappa Worthy Cup shirt.
  22. Not forgetting the relegation thread.
  23. What a time to dial one in. There is absolutely no excuse for this clusterfuck of a no show, a total disgrace.
  24. They're passing it round us like we're stood still. Oh wait, we are stood still.
