We are stacking up way too many "those last minute goals will see you relegated" goals. Not good!
-
Not many teams have to patch up the starting 11 and bench BEFORE the hectic Christmas schedule. We play better away from home, but this one screams of being a stinker for us.

When a football club runs itself like a "business" (driving down costs and quality) don't be surprised when the "customers" vote with their feet. It is a big old world out there, if people have had enough of going to Ewood I wouldn't criticise them one bit. I'd actually applaud them for hanging around so long.

I cannot talk for the rest of the fan base, but I cannot emphasise enough my personal horror at losing Tronstad before the game. Added to Wharton, Carter, Cantwell and Toth all of whom make up the starting 11 left me completely deflated even before a ball was kicked, I admit it. Then the game kicked off and nothing I witnessed cheered me up in the slightest, intact it made me realise how grim things are going to be. -

Having witnessed that last night how bad must Ribiero and Pickering be in training to not get onto the pitch. -

Let's be honest everybody in a position of seniority at Ewood maintains a view that the fans are the bad guys. The "fans support away from home is amazing" is a dig. The football witnessed at Ewood under this manager has been shambolic and screams of a victim mentality amongst the squad that playing at home is some fearsome tasks. It is absolute crap. -

Another week, another kick in the balls on the selection front. It looks to pull the squad together but we will run out of players soon at this rate. -

We must be the only club that has a worse injury forecast after two weeks of not playing. It is a joke. -
Todd Cantwell - is he off?

We are fans who are rightly suspicious when things like this arise. We've seen it too many times, something just seems off. Ryan Nelson was made out to be near wheelchair bound, he played for Spurs a few days after leaving. We don't forget! -
I haven't watched Scotland for years, I couldn't believe Grant Hanley and Craig Gordon could still get a game at international level.

I don't think it's being dramatic to say its petrifying that the bulk of our games between now and the New Year will be a mash up of todays squad. I can't help but think Miller flying off to the other side of the world every international break is going to do his chances of lasting between now and the New Year much good either. -

Its just all so predictable, the injuries are predictable, the poor defending against a physical team on a set piece, not showing up when we get a good following. We all knew it. The players do try, but my lord that match day squad is going to struggle with any manager. -

I just can't help but think it's going to be an opening 10 minutes of Derby testing Pears peppering him with high balls. He has to stand up to it or it will be a long afternoon. -
More games like Bristol City needed, zero shots on target for the opponents.

Quote from the manager is "at least 12 weeks". I dont like the at least bit!

I spoke about his importance during the summer and got shot down, my simplistic view is to not view his attacking capabilities (if a manager did he wouldn't play). He stops a full back being overrun and is always willing to be an outlet for the ball, being an outlet to take and hold the ball is far more of a skill than people think. -

Excellent win, having a reliable goalkeeper has been half the battle for us for years. Toth is looking very good. Ohashi must be a nightmare to play against, Alebiosu's ability to keep the ball when there is no room is superb. Two great finishes for Gudjohnson too. I'm a happy man! -

I've got a feeling Toth has to be our 23/24 Szmodics with his heroics ... might need him to score a couple too. -
I think the season he saved us did some real damage to him. He played many games with injections towards the end of that season.

Valérien Ismaël: Blackburn Rovers Head Coach

The look of a man who knows he is under no pressure, yet categorically knows its his last job at this level. The whole club is a front when comparing it to a well run professional club! -

I still found it bizarre when he said Tronstad wouldn't sign a new deal as he had some issues and wanted to go back to Scandinavia. It just didn't need saying publicly. Watching Tronstad lately, he really wants to go back to Scandinavia. -

We are in a place were making a substitution is like asking if you want to be kicked in the balls or the head, we look clueless when changes are made (see 2nd goal). We get plenty of balls into the box, but they don't have a purpose. Crosser has a mentality of if I get it into the box I've done my job and the striker doesn’t make any decent movement, all this can be coached and drilled but game after game, no change. The long throws only bring one positive in my mind, less time for the opponents to have possession of the ball to score against us. Another evening were the away end is all cheers and having fun. I am sick to the back teeth of it, it is embarrassing. I can stand losing, but I cannot stand being set up from the start of the season to lose due to incompetent, arrogant people running the club with a clueless approach to player recruitment and sales. -
