I have to say that I think with a full pre season, he could be a very good loan. Bit unlucky with injuries and the poor form of the team but to me, he looked like he has a hell of a lot of potential.

Hopefully he will learn from Sven’s mistake when he took Keown, on Tord Grip’s advice, who was never going to get anywhere near the pitch instead of the exciting Matt Jansen. How that decision went on to affect Matt’s future career and life, sliding doors and all that.

Wouldn’t it be great to see the Wilpshire Pirlo in an England shirt. Personally I would still rather be seeing him in a Rovers shirt but hope he goes and lights up the euros and then dedicates a match winning performance to Blackburn Rovers and JDT, who gave him his chance. Under Mowbray, he would still be rattling around in the Academy 🙈

I don’t think anyone can begrudge him a move but at a fair market price only. If he signed up the new contract last year with a £8m release clause, then that is another horrific one to put down to Greg the Egg or Swag and I wouldn’t be one bit surprised. He was already under a reasonable length contract and certainly no issue with rewarding him by big hike in wages in return for extension but if at the same time he stuck £8m release clause in at same time, that would be a real mistake as highly unlikely his original contract had a release clause.

Weren’t we hoping something similar last year re: extending the early phase pre price hike and Swag just pushed on regardless. Got to be the worst CEO and worst run professional club, bloody heartbreaking.

They didn’t get on, Swag reported that Broughton was totally out of his depth and we all know for an absolute fact, that Swag is out of his depth and has been drowning our once great club since the day he darkened our door.

I’m so glad that Notlob lost but in truth a lot of it is envy, just look at the state of our club these days compared to that lot down the road. It’s like night and day and judging by the comments on this page from lost and current ST holders, it looks like renewal numbers will be horrendous. We, the fan base aren’t to blame but to the outside world, we are going to be seen as the pariah town with the apathetic local population not supporting its football club, like other similar areas, back to Notlob !
