Standing next to a couple of scousers, turned out to be Edmondson’s Dad & Grandad, nice to see their reaction and pride when he slotted home the eighth goal. Looked a good prospect, as did most of the young lads, all motivated, enthusiastic and wearing the iconic blue and white with pride.

Must admit that you are spot on with your observation. I really enjoyed the evening as did all the Rovers fans present but it felt like a friendly atmosphere, just polite applause rather than vocal support, a bit surreal.

I always liked him as the EFL pundit and think he has a bright future as a manager. He’s got Hull playing some good stuff and brought some decent players in, I think they will have a decent season.

What did Pears get wrong today, he made at least two really good saves that kept us level, before we went ahead. He had no chance with even goal, both absolutely atrocious goals to give away, both straight through (or over) the middle without a defender in sight. Would have been a bit of a robbery had we won but we really threw it away with those goals.

How ambitious JDT would love to have a Jack in tow, then we would be going places.
